"This gun is full metal and blowback system for $ 200. What is wrong with her?
Can I get an accurate with it at 170 feets?

"I love this gun but make sure to get the custom gr4 g26 battery so it will fit in the compartment ( http://www.evike.com/products/37146 ). No problems so far. Plus g&g is apart of the epic bonus program so I got a 30$ package of 10k bbs for free!

"I'm rather new to airsoft. I purchased the black and desert versions of this gun so this review will be left on both products. Be advised, when you receive the product, the name of the gun is actually "G&G GR4 G26 A1" so don't think you received a different gun. "A1" seems to be the designator for the metal receiver version of the G26. Evike may need to change the title.

Pros:
- full metal receivers
- good out-of-box accuracy
- excellent external designing

Cons:
- external designing means less customization
- outer barrel tip may wobble (even if tightened)

This gun is a pretty good starter gun. It's basically the metal version of the popular G&G GR4 G26 but without the electronic blowback. First off, it's an excellent quality full metal upper and lower receiver construction. Second, it shoots real accurately out the box (I'm new to airsoft so didn't take a look at the internals but have heard G&G is really good). I added an Angel Custom G2 SUS304 Stainless Steel 6.01mm Airsoft Tightbore Inner Barrel (230mm / AEG) as the free item (on the black M4) and the stock barrel (on the desert M4) seems more consistent. However, I may not have broken in the barrel enough. Also, Evike listed the inner barrel as 233mm so I ordered 230mm. But when I measured the stock barrel, it's about 255mm. The longer barrel could be helping but the tightbore is still accurate. The flash hider looks cool and is screwed in with a setting pin but after letting it sit in fingernail polish remover for 5 minutes (yes, you have to hold the gun upside down), you just simply but forcefully screw it off with ease.

Of course, this gun has its flaws. Its strong design cues mean there are less options for customization. Those looking for accessories to mount, you have to buy rail adapters. Magpul rail adapters work just fine. The delta ring is fixed and the tip of the outer barrel has a unique design. This means swapping out the handguard will require more effort, possibly a costly one that requires a full front-end conversion. The handguard features quick battery access, which means that to access the battery compartment, all you have to do is push the top half of the handguard forward and lift. You ultimately have to pull and hold open a front tip along the barrel to remove the top handguard but it can still slide forward given enough momentum, for example, from running, especially if you mounted accessories. Bottom line, the top half of the handguard doesn't lock. Easy fix to help secure it is tying paracord from the handguard to the lower receiver by the trigger.
Moving on, the tip of the outer barrel is now wobbling even after tightening screws. This will severely degrade your y-axis accuracy. What I did to fix this was to put tiny strips of scotch tape (4 layers) on the bottom of the end of the barrel that the tip attaches to in order to fill the bottom gap so that the tip doesn't point down so much. The barrel will still feel wobbly but even if I lightly push the barrel down as I shoot, it seems the inaccuracy is pretty much null and maybe completely negligible. However, I've only shot in my backyard, about a 15-yard max distance. There may be inaccuracies at longer distances.

All in all, if you're looking for an awesome full metal starter gun, this is definitely worth considering. I spent time looking for an inexpensive, well-performing, good looking gun and decided on this. Also, the fact that this gun qualifies for a free bonus item ($40 w/o battery, $47 w/) is more reason to consider this. Given the gun's issues I've come across and the simple remedies I've made, I'm still glad I purchased this gun.
