Airsoft 1913 Folding Stocks and Picatinny Mounts

An Airsoft 1913 folding stock lets you collapse your rifle sideways for transport, tight vehicle work, or CQB (Close Quarters Battle) lanes where a fixed buffer tube gets in the way. This collection covers complete folding stocks, folding adapters and hinges, buffer tube sets, and cheek risers built around the 1913 Picatinny rail interface.

How to Choose an Airsoft Picatinny Folding Stock

Start with your gun, not the stock. A universal 1913 adapter bolts to almost anything with a rear rail, but several pieces here are platform-specific. The PTS E9-1913 is cut for the CZ Scorpion EVO. LCT's MOE adapter is an AK part. The Madbull unit is made for the KWA KMP9. Buying the wrong one is the most common mistake in this category.

Then decide what you actually need. A folding adapter alone converts an existing stock. A complete Airsoft Picatinny stock replaces the whole assembly. Those are different purchases.

Material and Weight Tradeoffs

CNC steel from LCT survives abuse and adds weight to the rear of the gun. G&P's CNC aluminum splits the difference. Matrix polymer keeps things light, which matters if you are already running a heavy front end. Skeletonized designs shave grams for long field days. Solid stocks feel more planted for slow, deliberate shooting.

Weight at the rear also changes how the gun balances. Test it before you commit to a full build.

Building Out the Rest of the Setup

A folding stock changes where your sling sits, so plan the mounting point at the same time. Our sling adapters cover QD sockets and loop mounts that clear a folded receiver.

If your gun lacks a rear 1913 surface, you may need to add one. Check the rail segments collection. Gas platforms have their own hardware requirements, and the gas rifle buffer tubes and parts section carries the adapters and tubes those builds need.

Eighteen brands live in this category, from Matrix and 5KU up through Strike Industries, Laylax, PTS, and SIG SAUER. That range is what comes with being the world's largest Airsoft retailer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a 1913 Picatinny stock mount?

1913 refers to the MIL-STD-1913 rail specification, the standardized slot-and-rib pattern most people call Picatinny. A 1913 stock mount is a rear-facing rail interface that a stock or folding adapter clamps onto. Because the spec is standardized, an Airsoft Picatinny stock built for 1913 fits any gun with a matching rear rail, regardless of brand.

Will an Airsoft 1913 folding stock fit my AEG?

Only if your AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) has a rear 1913 rail or you install an adapter that provides one. Standard M4 receivers use a threaded buffer tube instead, so you would need a conversion piece first. AK platforms usually need a specific adapter like the LCT MOE. Check your rear receiver before ordering.

Can I still shoot with the stock folded?

Yes on most AEGs, since the motor and gearbox sit in the pistol grip and receiver. Gas blowback rifles are the exception. Many GBBR platforms house the recoil spring in the buffer tube, and folding the stock either blocks the bolt or is mechanically prevented by the adapter. Verify with your specific gun.

Do folding adapters loosen up over time?

Some do. Hinge play develops with repeated cycling, especially on polymer units. Steel and aluminum adapters from LCT and G&P hold tolerance longer. Look for models with an adjustable detent or a locking lever rather than a friction fit. Periodic tightening of the clamp screws handles most wobble.

What is the difference between a folding stock and a folding adapter?

A complete Airsoft Picatinny folding stock includes the hinge and the stock body as one assembly. A folding adapter is the hinge alone, sitting between your receiver and whatever stock you already own. Adapters make sense if you like your current stock. Complete stocks make sense if you are replacing everything at once.
