Unlike Tokyo Marui Airsoft guns of the past, the M4A1 MWS (ZET System) rifles now feature metal receivers instead of all polymer as well as fully licensed trademarks to add to the realism of these replicas. Combined with Tokyo Marui's high quality internals and stock dependability, these rifles are great to skirmish out of the box or as a base for high performance projects.
The new ZET System is Tokyo Marui's latest entry into the GBB rifle market featuring an action similar to the venerable Hi-Capa design as opposed to standard gas M4 systems. The ZET System has been designed to not only be much more gas efficient, but it has been designed with durability and longevity in mind thanks in part to its short travel roller style hammer; this hammer design greatly reduces the cyclic wear on your bolt, hammer, and valve knocker. Additional improvements include a steel bolt locking plate which addresses a common issue with standard gas M4 systems where the bolt stop suffers from accelerated wear and quickly loses the last round bolt locking function.
While Tokyo Marui has been around for a long time in Asian markets, their availability has been limited/restricted due to licensing and importation issues; however through Evike.com and partners, Tokyo Marui guns are now finally going to be readily available state-side.

(Write a review) "This gun is a very high quality airsoft gun. I have had mine and it works well. it feels super realistic and full metal makes it seem like that you have a real gun. "this is a long term review on the mws.
had mines for a little over 3 years and still counting ive only had one issue and it was a user error. i ran green gas on the stock nozzle return spring and it snapped if you get this pewpew and decide to run anything hotter than airduster the spring should be the first thing you replace. overall this is the type of platform where you can just field it and it will perform as intended. its such a work horse of a toy and definitely a recommendation to anyone getting a gbbr as a primary "Got to say, hands down one of the best performing gas rifle in the market, the MWS will not disappoint you. Though it is on the weaker side in terms of recoil and power, it makes up for its consistency, performance, and reliability. As someone who bought a WE M4 CQBR, as their first GBBR, and then moving to the TM MWS after a year later, I immediately regretted buying the WE M4 as I should've waited to save up more for the TM MWS.
Some of things to note that I would suggest after getting the MWS:
- Get an enhance nozzle return spring right away if you are running green gas (T8, GunsModify, Dytac, Dynamic Precision, etc.).
- Green gas modify the magazine (Cutting the silver tube in half) so you can increase gas capacity (Do at your own risk).
- Installing aftermarket handrails require 3rd party outer barrels (like the G&P outer barrel set) if you don't have the barrel nut spacer adapter for the stock outer barrel.
- Inner barrel comes with a standard 300mm length, making it shorter than the outer barrel. 370mm inner barrel would best suit it to match the length of the outer barrel to increase performance and range.
Overall, for the price you pay, it'll be worth it. Of course, it won't be cheap as the magazines in itself are just as expensive and you'll be spending at least $1,200 to complete your build. If you're thinking in getting into the GBBR lifestyle, the TM MWS is the way to go. Read More Reviews Write a Review
