"So, I have recently won one of these beauties of a rifle, and I've already changed the spring which was really easy to do, (besides the spring I bought being longer than the stock one, making it hard to get in), all I had to do was turn the spring release 90 degrees to the left, take out the stock spring, drop in the new one, put the release back and turn to the right, that simple. It shoots really well, and with a 7.4v LiPo, it's got a respectable RPM, and is very accurate on people sized targets to about 50yds using a .25g BBs, and because it comes with a 6.05mm tightbore brass inner barrel.

The interior of this gun is very nice, everything and then some is metal. The gears seem to be very well made from steel, and have a nice coat of grease, not too much, not too little. The inner barrel is 455mm in length, has a 6.05mm tightbore, and is constructed of brass. The hop-up is made of a metal construction for the housing, and is decent, although it seems to struggle a bit with a .25g BB. And finally the motor is a really nice High-Torque made by E&L, and seems to be really well made.

The exterior is primarily of a stamped steel besides the furniture which is a really heavy duty polymer. Everything on the exterior seems to made like the real things, from the the rivets, to the furniture, the sights, and the muzzle-brake (which could do just-fine if used on a real AK74). But, all this metal does give it a nice weight at almost 8 lbs, and if you're a little on the smaller side, I would suggest a rail system and a foregrip because that weight likes to be more in the front.

Overall, this a really well crafted rifle, especially for airsoft. The exterior is basically the same as the real thing and I think even have to take aftermarket parts designed for the real ones, so a rail system would be more than what you would pay for something made by CYMA or some other airsoft company. The interior of the gun is also very well done, with my only complaint being that the hop-up doesn't do as good as it should with a .25g BB, but other than that, the gun is very competitive without any modding to it what-so-ever.
If E&L decides to make a SVD style gun, I'm going to shell-out my money because I know they know what E&L can do, and put a lot of work into each gun. Or I might just buy an AK47 and do some kind of CS:CO type paint-job, like an Elite-Build.

"First let me start off this review by saying, if you are into shooting real rifles, and you're into airsoft, there is no better AK that will model the real thing.

Exterior: This rifle is as close to an AK as I've seen from any airsoft rifle. The receiver is thick, the furniture strong and built out of real steel parts, everything about the body of this gun is perfect, flawless. The last time I was this impressed with the quality of a gun I bought, it was with the real thing. You open up the box and are greeted with the scent of oil, lubrication, and grease. Nothing smells more like an AK, and if you're familiar with AKs, you'll fall in love with the first smell. Some of the tolerances are a little too tight in my opinion. Getting the muzzle break off is impossible, and getting the dust cover on is the worst thing ever, It will stay on once it is on, but oh man, until it snaps into place prepare for frustration. The tube for the battery is really tight, so be careful because you might shave the battery if you don't place it in right. Overall, If you want the most accurate build you can get, get an E&L.

Interior: I'll start off with the good. The barrel is fantastic, it's a tightbore 6.05mm barrel, and it is extremely tight. If you take the time to adjust the sights, and work on your aim, you'll have no issues. The Hopup is great, but not perfect. If you plan on modding your E&L, the hopup shouldn't be the first thing you change, but it is great. The spin adjustment is easy to use, and it's just great. The Gearbox is where the E&L let me down a bit. There's a bit of leakage in the piston, the gearbox shell is fine, but internall it could use some work, pretty much everything minus the trigger. The trigger is snappy, but minus that if you don't mind some tech work, I'd recommend it. The motor is above average, but again, if you want perfection, and upgrade is recommended. It also has a fuse built in to prevent the motor from shutting down, but with a AK this quality it's not necessary. I'd recommend bypassing the fuse and hooking up deans connectors for a perfect circuit. But for the price, the internals are on point.

Extra information: The magazine it comes with are great, but it takes some practice changing magazines, the mag well is kind of hard to work. If you're in the dark trying to change magazines, you'll have trouble. The trigger guard tore up my finger, so if you have big hands, the grip won't suit you well, but that's the same with real steel AKs so I'm not complaining. Fire selector can sometime not work correctly, but that goes for most airsoft AKs so just be prepared for that.

Overall, boy do E&L know how to make an AK! I wouldn't even say it's an airsoft gun. I'd say it's a AK74 chambered in 6mm, It's that good. When you open the box, you'll be greeted by gun smells, real cleaning kits, real grease containers, the whole 9 yards. If you want a real Kalashnikov, that shoots 6mm BBs, buy this rifle. If you want a gun that is great stock, but can use a couple of small upgrades, buy this rifle. If you want the perfect airsoft gun, this isn't the gun for you. If you want the perfect AK74 chambered in 6mm. Buy. this. gun.
