The M1 Garand originated in 1936 was the first semi-automatic rifle to be generally issued to the US Armed Forces. It replaced the older standard issue bolt-action M1903 and was extensively used throughout World War II, the Korean War, and some of Vietnam. Regarded as "the greatest battle implement ever devised" by General George S Patton, the M1 Garand has a long history and even lengthier service record.

(Write a review) "I had purchased this airsoft gun almost 2 years ago with the thought that it was just gunna be a show piece.
I took it out to one game using .20 right after I bought it and its was ok I wasnt blown away or anything. Well at my local field we were doing a d-day based game about a month ago and I decided to clean the dust off and take it out for the day. I started sighting it in with .30 and I was getting really good range. And what suprised me even more I have .40 that non of my other guns could hop but this m1 garand hopped the .40 like it was nothing.
Once getting my sights dialed in with .40 I had very little effect from the wind and could hit basically anything I put my sights on with one shot.
. Very accurate
. A true dmr
. Can hop heavy weight bbs.
. Very sturdy
. Feels pre upgraded
. Amazing on a shelf/stand and amazing in the field.
. I found the orange tip difficult to remove.
Yes this is an expensive gun but in my opinion the price is fully justified. I've used friends krytacs and other good high quality guns. I feel as though this sits up top with some of the best and even better then some "The ICS M1 Garand is a well built AEG. ICS have certainly out done themselves with this product as their attempt to replicate "the greatest battle implement ever devised" into a competitive airsoft gun has succeeded in all parameters.
When showing this rifle to my grandfather, who was trained on the real rifle during his military service, he stated that every bit of the gun is where it's supposed to be, but noted that length of the gun is a bit shorter compared to the real firearm. Though maybe not in its exact dimensions, this replica is very close to mirroring its real steel counterpart and it helped me gain insight into how my grandfather interacted with the rifle during his military duty.
This rifle is made of real wood, metal, and some steel bits with the only plastic parts being the magazine and the orange tip. Speaking of the orange tip, it must be removed in order to proceed with the take down or disassembly. Expect this orange tip to be glued on and it will be a stubborn removal. Also if you want to mount a rubber bayonet to this AEG, and you can do this thanks to the bayonet lug, you still need removal of the orange tip otherwise the rubber bayonet won't fit on the muzzle.
For this rifle being made out of these high quality materials that is not plastic, it comes with some good weight to it. Putting this AEG to your shoulder and looking down the sights feels great. The iron sights are simple and clear, you do not need a scope or a fancy holographic sight to see your target with this rifle. True to the real steel it is a semi-automatic rifle. The gearbox does not support a select fire function so full-auto is not possible and not needed. This helps with airsoft fields that designate sections of the play area for guns to be selected to semi-automatic for safety precautions. The magazine does hold 42 rounds, you will shoot at least up to 38 rounds before the spring in the mag quits cycling the remaining two or three rounds. This is not a big deal since a majority of airsoft magazines have this quirk. A plus with the purchase of this product is that it comes with two mags for you to play with before the necessity to buy more magazines which are $20 a pop. I recommend a purchase of an ammunition bag due to the bulky nature of these magazines.
ICS M1 Garand is known as a reliable piece of kit, but there is one inconvenience that is fixable and it involves the trigger portion of the gearbox. The trigger block on the right side of the outer shell of the gearbox engages with the trigger switch. The block will not slide forward when you don't commit to the full trigger pull. The screws that hold the trigger block maybe loose not allowing the block to shift forward when pulling the trigger. Tighten these screws a bit to be sure the trigger block slides forward to engage the trigger switch reliably.
With my M1, I have also encountered a problem involving the trigger switch itself. The three electrical bits that engage the electric current that fires the gun, the two prongs that touch the center prong have widened themselves away from the center prong denying the electric current needed to fire the gun. Luckily, these prongs are visible from the bottom of the gearbox and you can use a flathead screw small enough to reach in and manipulate the two electric prongs of the trigger switch back into position to complete the circulation of electricity.
Even with the inconvenient yet fixable glitches that I mentioned, the ICS M1 Garand is a reliable AEG that can compete with other AEGs on the airsoft field. FPS range somewhere between the high 300s to the low 400s depending on the weight of the 6mm BBs. It's best at close to medium range engagements, best suited for the designated marksmen roll. This AEG is perfect for those making WWII builds, Korean War builds, you can even be cheeky by adding this gun to a Vietnam War build. The only thing that doesn't fully completely this replica that players point out that the ICS M1 Garand does not make the iconic en-bloc clip *Ping* sound. But what you do have is the mock charging bolt that actually sounds like a bolt racking the next round into the chamber. This makes the mock charging bolt of airsoft M14s sound like bicycle bells.
ICS M1 GARAND: 5 Stars out of 5 "This gun is absolutely amazing. The performance and durability is good and strong and it’s powerful. Now over time some of the cosmetics like the bolt plate or the rear hand guard will wear off and brake so it will require a little maintenance and some replacement of parts. Over all this is my favorite gun in my arsenal. Love it Read More Reviews Write a Review
