"This is a very good tac light for what you pay for.
-Pros-
-Cheap
-Comes with battery
-Can fight on any pic rail (even fit on my glock replica!)
-Cons-
-Not super bright, so not great for outdoors (but its only 500 lumens)
Overall a great buy!
"I bought this light not expecting much and I can't say I was disappointed per se.
I play outdoor and I bought this light specifically for one building at my main field that is pitch black. Mainly just bought it as a placeholder until I find enough reason to justify a Modlite.
Pros:
Quick Detach, I have it rifle mounted but I put it on my pistol often. (non light bearing holster)
Simple activation, just push the switch in/out. (stumped me for a few minutes out of the box)
Strobe mode, for those who like it (see cons)
Illuminates a man sized target head to toe at 15 feet
Affordable, and well constructed for the price, metal alloy body isnt weak
Perfect fit on Glock, S&W M&P
OK fit on 1911, just looks weird, the only 3 pistols i've tried
Cons:
Strobe mode, activation is alternating, meaning every other time you turn on this light it's strobe, a bit annoying for me because i'd be better off without it entirely, but having it is cool
Gets hot to the touch if you have it on for an extended period of time, I only use it for a couple seconds at most, but if you have it running for minutes, it will heat up.
Battery life is quite short, the included battery died pretty quick, I'm using the evike branded ones and they work well.
Mixed:
if mounted on a rifle, it must be on the side of your support hand, otherwise activation will be awkward, mine is on an AK, attached to a zenitco B30 with a Magpul AFG, using this setup I can effortlessly use the light, see what works for you
for what it is, its a 5/5 but compared to other lights that serve the same purpose this thing gets blown out of the water
still better than an olight
