"Highly impressed with this, especially for the price. You get a mount (with off set rail for a red dot) along with a scope that has easy acquisition, on par with some red dots.

I've not had any issue with fishbowl lensing and in bright daylight, the lens caps have not cause me issues, definitely not enough to risk damage to the lense.

For the optimal view, I have found I've had to adjust my eyes position, depending on the zoom (the higher zoom level, the closer I need to get to get the full picture. But, if you have a collapsible stock, just collapse in.

In daylight you will not see the red or green illumination, but in daylight you don't really need it anyway.

-Nice, affordable short-dot style LPVO.
-Crystal clear image at any zoom level.
-Wide field of view.
-Excellent eye relief - about 4.5”.
-Circle-dot reticle can sort of be used like a red dot sight at 1x zoom with both eyes open.
-Illumination is very bright, mostly daylight visible except in the brightest conditions.
-Easy to focus.
-Finger adjustable, tool-less, turrets.
-Throw lever on magnification ring.
-QD mount is secure. Removable 45 degree offset rail mount.
-Includes 2x batteries

Cons:
-Fisheye effect, especially at 1x zoom. Seems to go away at higher zooms. But not uncommon.
-Clear lens caps cause ghosting/blurring of illuminated reticle. Just open them for best image.
-Finish on the mount scratches easily. Not a big deal though.
-About 1lb 8oz with mount, lens caps and battery. About average for LPVO’s (but lighter than some).

It’s a great budget LPVO. I was deciding between this, a Monstrum, or slightly more expensive FFP Visionking. I decided to go with this because of the price together with the mount ($153.99) and after reading good reviews on other sites. It’s a good scope. Crystal clear. The only thing I don’t like is the fisheye effect at lower zoom levels. But after doing some research, I found that other low power scopes have this issue too. By “fisheye” I mean the image is slightly distorted toward the edges, like looking through the bottom of a glass bottle, but not as bad. So when you pan the scope around, it sort of looks like you’re looking through a bubble, and the image warps/blurs a little near the edges. It’s VERY slight, but this is somewhat irritating. Focus and clarity are crystal clear in the center though. It seems to go away as zoom increases. I haven’t fielded this yet so I don’t know how bad that will affect me throughout the day but it seems fine. I have no idea if the other scopes I was considering have this effect or not. I’ll probably try the Visionking later, but for bang for the buck, this is not a bad choice at all.

I decided to keep this since the illumination is nice and bright, even in the day. More than with any other scope I own. The reticle is very crisp and precise. Against darker colors and shady areas (like foliage, dark camo or buildings), the illumination is easy to see. Of course against brighter backgrounds, it will be more opaque. For comparison, against the daytime sky, it’s completely black whereas a (good) red dot sight would be very dim, but still visible and illuminated. If the background is that bright though, an opaque reticle would probably serve you better. I have no info on zeroing or sighting as I haven’t fielded it yet but so far, I’m happy with it. It would be an easy 5/5 if not for the fisheye at 1x. For this price though, it’s an excellent scope.
