The RPK is a 7.62x39mm Soviet made light machine gun designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov. Functionally, the RPK is identical to the AK-47 with improvements to enhance durability, increase effective range and accuracy, as well as extend its sustained fire capability. The RPK features a heavier and much longer barrel than a standard issued AK-47 / AKM rifle. The folding bipod replaces the bayonet lug, but offers the user a stable firing platform.

"This replica is a god damn TANK! Weighs about as much too. Not only are the externals solid, the internals are really good quality as well. Semi doesn't have the problem like cheap guns where the gearbox binds up on rapid single shot and auto is very consistent. I ordered a bunch of replacement externals like a picatinny hand guard, top rail dust cover, and an adjustable butt stock. The gun had its battery going to the butt stock which was incompatible with the replacement butt stock so I had to take the entire gun apart to change the wiring to go on top of the gearbox which was a massive pain but it works quite well with the AK batteries. With the internals stock it shoots rather far for an unmodified (for the internals) RPK using .3g BBs and an adjusted hopup. Given LCT likes to assemble their replicas to shoot a little hot at a bit over 1.5joules using .3g adjusting the hop to work perfectly with .3g BBs it shoots on the edge of 1.5j making it amazing for most fields with no loss of power that I have experienced with other models.

As stated this replica is HEAVY, it's probably the heaviest of the RPK models out there. That weight does translate to you not needing to worry about the shell taking much damage but it does become a problem when you need to ruck with this BEAST for extended periods of time. Throw on a drum or two with a couple sticks for spares and you are easily doubling the gear weight of most other people on the field with just basic rifle models. I personally love the weight even with the exhaustion of carrying it long distance, it gives me a level of confidence as I shoot it either moving or stationary.

One thing about the construction of this RPK is that the battery connector has plugs along the wire that when I had a short circuit that melted the battery connector off I was able to replace it very easily by ordering a LCT VAL battery wiring and taking the same plugs off of the VAL wires and attaching the new battery connector to my RPK. This way I didn't need to buy a new RPK or learn how to solder electrical wires making an extremely easy fix!

LCT, please sell the battery connector ends to go after the plugs so I can easily swap between deans and tamiya connector types.

"Ive had this gun for over a year. its AMAZING. i put around 500$ in mods into it to make it even better, stock it runs so good. i recommend you get the drum mag for it for maximum fire supremacy. after i modded it its become a feared gun at my local field. 10/10 would buy again
