The AK-74 is an assault rifle developed in the early 1970s in the Soviet Union as the replacement for the earlier AKM. It uses a smaller 5.45x39mm intermediate cartridge, replacing the 7.62x39mm chambering of earlier Kalashnikov-pattern weapons.

The KWA AKR-74M is an AK style, Electric Recoil Gun [ERG] that utilizes the patented Kinetic Feedback System [KFS]. This gives the user felt recoil with every trigger pull. All ERG Series rifles feature a mechanical/electrical cut-off system that works in conjunction with the ERG magazines to feed every BB and stop firing when the magazine is empty. This brings a new level of realism to any training and MilSim operation. The AKR-74M is designed to accurately simulate the AK platform. It features a full metal alloy receiver and high impact polymer hand guard, pistol grip, and full folding stock. An AK side mount on the receiver allows users to expand the platform with AK specific mounts and accessories. Enhanced by the Kinetic Feedback System, the KWA AKR-74M is a strong reliable rifle for those interested in training with the AK platform.

"I have barely bought this gun I will tell you it is the best rifle I have own and I have many different brands of aks besides my g&g ajax custom ak this rifle out proformed Most guns includes hpa guns

"I purchased the KWA AKR-74M ERG 2 weeks ago. I also purchased extra magazines ( 400 rd Hi capsx3 and 120 rd mids x2 3 packs)directly from KWA's Pro Shop.
Using a tiny 7.4 v 1100 lipo and I am hitting man sized targets w/ .30 gram bb's in excess of 200+ feet away with coffee cup circumference grouping and superb accuracy .
Auto is fantastic but this aeg excels in semi.
Pick up some extra mags and you'll be golden for any mil sim event.
This was made for an 11.1 15c lipo, so my Raptor 7.4 v 1100 15 c is under powering it and still.... it performs incredibly.
Last weekend i went head to head with a E& L Gen 2 AK and it ended in a draw. They were evenly matched. Just saying!
With that said...

This AK is the BOMB!!! Plain and simple.
Buy one .. you wont regret it!

"I acquired my KWA AKR-74M in the mail today (6/24/2016) and so far it is an extremely solid gun. First, the gun has an extremely solid build on the outside. The receiver, and barrel are metal while the stock, handguard, pistol grip and mag are all extremely solid polymer. There's absolutely no wobble on this gun, the gun is satisfying to hold and even more satisfying to fire. That brings me to my next point, the internals. The internals on this gun are very good. I have a Tenergy 11.1V 1000mAh 20C stick type battery and the trigger response is snappy. The rate of fire with my battery is upwards of 20rps. There is, however, a drawback to this gun. Along with this I ordered 10 Matrix AK74 Midcaps. These, however, do not fit in this gun. I talked to a person from KWA and they told me the extra mags (The AK60, AK120, and AK400) will all be released next week on the kwa website. So for those looking to buy this gun in the future, make sure you buy the KWA mags. This gun is overall an extremely good gun for the price, especially with the recoil and cutoff features. KWA really knocked it out of the park with this one.
