Matrix VSS SR-3M Vikhr Compact Rifle Airsoft AEG

"this is my first AEG, so i have nothing to really compare it to.

this gun is AWESOME. the rate of fire is so fast the grouping between hits is mere milliseconds.

the sleek, heavy design truely gives the feel of a well and true assault rifle.

pros:
built in forward grip
VERY good hopup
high rate of fire
acuracy is 7-8/10 up to 150-200 feet
steel folding stock
righthanded gun, but still usable for a lefty like me.
solid design
very easy to control shots and sprays with stock folded or extended

cons:
the forward grip, pistol grip and front half of the gun are reinforced plastic, so a slight turnoff to some.
no matter how you adjust the hopup or the iron sights, the rounds allways fire 1 1/2 - 3 inches higher that the sights which could be the difference between a neck and a headshot if your aiming at your targets core.
the hopup is hidden behind the dust door slide, so you have to pull that cover back with one hand and adjust with the other.
hopup slide is clear-cut plastic.
cannot remove forward grip easily without tools.
magazines do NOT fill easily. unless you have fingernails, you have to shim open the bb chamber with somthing thin and sturdy.
does NOT come with a manual so do ALOT of research online before attempting any tuning.
the battery door doesnt stay closed unless you apply alot of pressure every now and then (i substituted for a hairband wrapped around the shaft.



all in all, this gun is great with its very few drawbacks (most of the cons are just notes ive noticed people dont like). compared to the other aegs ive shot, this gun keeps up very well, especialy in the supressing fire catagory. i STRONGLY suggest buying at least two spare mags and a 500 round speed loader, this gun burns ammo FAST.

notes for newbies:

yes, this comes with a battery and charger.

this gun is pretty heavy, so work on your cardio.

there is no manual.

after using about 50 times, be sure to re-oil it with silicone grease.

"I bought this to start my Russian loadout, plus on a budget and didn't want a standard AK. But it was alright, for the first 2.5 months I had it until the battery stopped working.

Pros:
High ROF
Comes with battery and charger
Comes with Hi-Cap mag
Foldable stock
Foregrip

Cons:
Battery compartment is small, an almost perfect fit, connecting the tamiya makes it so you cannot close the compartment without holding it shut (can be fixed with tape)
After around 10 seconds of fire, it will start to smell like burning metal
*IT DOES NOT HAVE 14MM NEGATIVE THREAD* (despite it saying it does, it doesn't, so no barrel attachments)
The flash hider is extremely hard to remove (even when heating it up)
Made in China (cheap charger, battery)
No instructions at all
Sometimes the magazine won't latch

Overall, it is a good beginner weapon. But my battery stopped working as it was starting to get really hot. Wouldn't recommend for experienced airsoft players.
