Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R. Airsoft GBB Pistol

"I bought this pistol from my local airsoft store and have been playing pistol only for the past two months. I've had a great experience so far; I've dropped the gun several times from waist height without it breaking. Very reliable.

Long story short, this pistol is basically a TM 5.1, with a few minor differences:
-No threaded barrel
-Most(maybe all) aftermarket parts are NOT COMPATIBLE
-Slide will accept an RMR sight out of the box, however I would not recommend buying TM's "micro pro sight" because it's very expensive for what it is and not-so-good quality.

In my experience, it looks great, the trigger is very short and responsive, and the recoil is strong enough to feel but not enough to set off your aim.

Summary:
Buy IF you plan to use duster gas (green gas WILL EVENTUALLY BREAK the plastic slide and you CAN'T get a replacement). No aftermarket support (yet), hopefully you're okay with that. I would only buy this IF you really want to mount an RMR sight. If not, just buy a regular TM hi Capa or gold match. They're cheaper, compatible with more upgrades/parts, and have been out there for way longer. The DOR is a great pistol, it just doesn't have enough support for me to recommend buying it.

TLDR: Good gun. No aftermarket parts available.

"had this pistol stock for a few hundred rounds and the slide broke at the rear sight. techs at evike told me this has become a common problem with this particular lot and they would gladly replace it but I would most likely face the same problem again. It will need an after market slide made of aluminum. I was going to replace it anyway so if you intend to upgrade this you might as well start with the slide.

"This gun can't be upgraded, the outer barrel cannot be upgraded with a threaded barrel. But if you take off the orange tip and rap the threaded of a micro or nano tracer enough ,it will hold. I did it to mine and it's held for a long time. The barrel it comes with has groves" NOT THREADS" in it when you take off the orange tip,. If you wrap enough Teflon tape around the end of the tracer unit treads and screw it in like a normal thread,. It will tighten up enough to hold it securely.,. I've try shaving an after market barrel down and the stock by hop up that comes stock,. It don't match up up no matter what you do to it. Iif you want to up grade a Hi-cappa.this isn't the gun. The gun shoots extremely well and accurate, the only downfall is that there is 0 upgraded due to the new engineering that was put in this gun. I have no complaints about this gun other than that.
