"For anyone that needs a reliable springer: This is absolutely the one to go with, especially if you can find spare mags. I've been using this back when sporting goods stores used to sell them. I've had 2 over my 10+ years of airsoft. As I said, very reliable and a good back up if your regular electric/gas pisols fail. Even if you're a beginner, this a great pistol that will last and can take a good deal of abuse. Use .20 or .23 as the spring is surprisingly strong and accurate.

"I enjoy the versatility of air soft. I can maintain my skills without the prohibitive expense of going to the range. The 1911 is my favorite handgun ( carried one in Viet Nam). Bought this one for indoor shooting. This is somewhat of a hybrid of a 1911 and a 1911 a1. The backdrop is flat and the trigger is farther forward than the a1. The ejection port is larger , as the a1. The magazine takes some getting used to. Loading it is fairly easy but the filler is sensitive and may release, ejecting the bbq into the air. When you insert the magazine, give the final 1/3 a good firm slap or the bbq will spill into the well. When you reload, drop the mag and then shake out the last 2 rounds from the well. If you fire to an empty chamber this will not be necessary. This piece shoots right on and hits hard (will penetrate an aluminum can). This gun is lots of fun and every accurate. It is somewhat light weight ( to counter this, they added two steal plates under the grips). I recommend this 1911 for casual fun.
