G&G FAR 556 Rapid Folding M4 Airsoft AEG Rifle

"Bought this around when it came out. I will never need another AEG

Compactness means i can have a 35L luggage backpack and carry my whole kit in there, while others lay out entire kits on tables I can have all mine in a little backpack. The mechanism scared off some of my friends, but it is extremely consistent, even without needing cleaning. Ive never got into the internals and play at SC Village, a notoriously dusty park, and it still works flawlessly.

I threw a 11.1v in the back and I need to measure it but the full auto RPM is high, and the trigger is really clean. Could be made shorter if you want but it is really responsive and with a little practice you can find the sweetspot to really get great semi-auto firerate.

Only thing to note is the G&G GOM V2 Midcap it comes with doesn't even fit in the rifle. Ive only gotten it to seat with force that makes me worried the gun is going to break. The new G&G mags are amazing too, but my FAR for some reason can't seat it. Oh well. EPM1's and some other cheap midcaps I have work perfectly. (Fits mags better than the G&G EVO-10 Shotgun that came out at the same time)
Also, batteries are in the stock so you are very limited in space, might need a spare smaller battery

Overall 10/10 AEG. Its a transformer gun, it looks silly, has a great hop, flash hider makes it so loud its funny, really lightweight to run with.

"I’ve had this gun for a while now and I got it right when it came out and let me just say it’s fantastic. I ride a motorcycle everywhere so compactness was and still is a priority. The gun is incredibly tough and sturdy granted at times it wouldn’t hurt to put some tape over the locking lug where it unfolds in the front. But when you have done that it’s rock solid I’ve sprites into players full force with this playing indoors and while their gun is cracked or damaged this gun hasn’t batted an eye. It’s performance is very good too it can run 11.1V batteries no issue and it’s rate of fire is very nice good upgrade ability and easy to work on yourself. My only gripe is that everything is proprietary minus the gearbox so changing handguards and other stuff is off the table. Easy to change spring makes it a breeze to switch from indoor play to outdoor play and it’s just been fantastic it’s comfy to use and no fuss the only breakage it’s had was the fuse blowing once and nothing since it’s been the best gun I’ve ever owned and I cannot recommend it enough for its price point it’s definitely a steal and I’d recommend it to anyone whether experienced or new.

"Skirmished with this gun in CQB about 3 times so far and it’s been perfect every time. Very light and can almost hold it like a pistol for those with some muscle. I prefer to run the stock folded and it’s a monster in running CQB routes.

Trigger is a little chunky and you can’t really feather efficiently without locking up the piston.

Pumped out around 7k rounds and not a single trace of residue that would require barrel cleaning.

I Literally pull up to my local arena with a small skater backpack with this thing inside, it is VERY transportable.

It is not very customizable as you are limited due to the mechanical necessities of a folding design.

If this gun survives the test of time and does not need any extensive upgrades I can confidently recommend this to anybody
