In response to the US's urgent need of a standardized automatic weapon towards the end of the first World War, John Browning introduced two types of automatic weapons to Congress for consideration; one of which was the single infantry operated, shoulder fired Browning Automatic Rifle also known as the BAR. The new select fire, air-cooled, long stroke piston operated weapon was so impressive that it was unanimously recommended for immediate adoption into service. Even though the weapon saw limited use in WWI due its late introduction, the battles it participated in were heavily impacted by the presence of this man portable light machine gun. Despite its low ammunition capacity, its mobility and ability to be operated by a single infantryman made it a force multiplier on the battlefield. The results were so impressive, other Allied nations requested for immediate adoption of the BAR. Throughout its service life, the BAR saw action in WW2, Korean War, and even into Vietnam before it was replaced by the M60 Machine Gun. During this time the weapon was used by various nations such as Belgium, Poland, and Sweden as well as being adopted by law enforcement for its awesome unrivaled firepower.

"Alrighty, so to start, ive had mine for about 2 years now and have recently disassembled i down to the gearbox.
Ive also actually fielded this monster too.
Many things id like to point out about this internally.
Disassembly was an absolute hassle for me, it did NOT want to come apart like it should have for me.
It does have a quick change spring system, the base is metal but the shaft is plastic and has no bearings.
Piston has full metal teeth and piston head is plastic and gave me an ok air seal.
Had a ported cylinder, swapped it for a full cylinder since the inner barrel is around 470mm long.
Proprietary hop up unit, tho it looks like an ak hop up in a metal shell.
Uses a v6 tappet plate and p90-ish length nozzle.
I believe it had 8mm bearings, i didnt measure them.
Propriety cylinder head, at least i think it was, certainly wasn't a v2.
Proprietary trigger contact unit.
Spring seems to have worn in on mine, as its only shooting around 320 fps.
Swapped the VN hi cap internals for g&p VN midcap internals, you'll need to modify the vn midcaps quite a bit, and even then, mine sit a bit lower than the vn hi cap internals, but still luckily feed just fine.
Definitely glad i got the gun when it was $245 on sale 😀
"Over all the BAR 1918 is great for all the details it has to offer. The greatest problem I had is the bi pod
when locked into the fixed position it falls out and scrapes against the barrel. It takes away the paint and exposes bare metal which leads to rust and corrosion. I would rate this one 3 out of 5
"This gun is awesome! It looks great and feels great i feel like reiben from saving private ryan lol. No complaints, great product and it was shipped promptly. Definitely recommended!
