Features High quality CNC finished cast aluminum receiver w/ licensed Colt rollmarks CNC finished Daniel Defense licensed MK18 Mod1 aluminum quad rail Uses Marui's proprietary Next Generation Recoil Shock system (NGRS) to simulate recoil and muzzle flip When utilizing the NGRS magazine, mock bolt will lock back after the last round Adjustable 6 position stock w/ storage compartment Removable flip up front & rear sights Realistic recoil and weapon function
The Tokyo Marui Next Generation Recoil Shock System (NGRS) helps to bridge the realism of a gas blowback rifle with the convenience and performance of an AEG. Utilizing a reciprocating weight, simulated recoil and muzzle flip is generated to simulate an actual cycling bolt. Additional features include an electronic bolt lock back function that locks the bolt back upon firing the last BB from the magazine, the rifle will then stop firing until a loaded magazine is inserted and the bolt stop pressed (feature only works with Tokyo Marui NGRS magazines).
Unlike Tokyo Marui Airsoft guns of the past, the new Recoil Shock System rifles now feature metal receivers instead of all polymer as well as fully licensed trademarks to add to the realism of these replicas. Combined with Tokyo Marui's high quality internals and stock dependability, these rifles are great to skirmish out of the box or as a base for high performance projects.
While the Tokyo Marui NGRS system has been around for nearly a decade in the Asian market, their availability has been limited/restricted due to licensing and importation issues; however through Evike.com and partners, the tried and true NGRS system rifles are now finally going to be readily available state-side.
Patterned after the original ArmaLite AR-15, Colt rifles have been in the hands of the US Military as well as many civilian enthusiasts since the adoption of the M16 combat rifle. Through years of hard use and first hand feedback to improve and evolve the weapon platform, the Colt M4 and M16 has risen to be one of the most popular and trusted combat rifles around the world.
The US SOCOM Mk18 Mod1 is the latest iteration of the CQB-R idea. A short-barreled M4 designed for the modern battlefield and potential of room-to-room and door-to-door entry and combat.

(Write a review) "PLS note this same information is in the review as the AK recoil model, since they use the same internals it is relevant. Due to the price on these models (especially the 'branded' ones) customers really need to know this before dropping this kind of money!
I've got a few of these TM recoil systems for training purposes, both the M4 models and the AK, and want to warn users about the pros and cons of these products.
Be advised that the recoil system has a tendency to lock itself unexpectedly if the trigger is not fully pulled (ie feathering in semi auto). The result is that apparently the recoil system gets out of whack, doesn't fully trigger/reset, and the AEG needs to be switched to Full auto to get it to shoot again.
I've seen this in both the AR and the AK series, and I'm seeing other reports of it online to denote it is a common yet not well known issue.
The 'fix' is to upgrade the controls, which considering the recoil complexity (not to mention more $ for an already $$ AEG) is not advised.
For a AEG that is trying to be authentic with the recoil and the bolt locking, having to switch to full auto to fix a shooting problem is counterproductive to using them for any muscle memory training purposes.
Couple that with the very high retail price, the need for (expensive) special magazines, and that the AK model has very limited room for batteries (handguard), I would not recommend this for 99% of airsofters,
If money is not a problem, you are experienced with AEGs, you DISTINCTLY WANT to manipulate the bolt during reloads, you don't need to worry about mixing up magazines, you mainly use full auto and/or don't worry about trigger 'break', and having a name brand on your toy is important, then it may be worth it.
Otherwise, I would NOT purchase this unit. Write a Review
