Features Full metal barrel and receiver Retractable buffer tube style stock and lightweight Keymod handguard MKII gas system holds gas in the bolts reservoir, eliminating tedious shell charging times 5+1 shell capacity Smooth racking action Shotgun must be pumped each type to cycle a new round Extremely realistic action About the MKII System: The CAM870 Shotgun by APS has proven itself to be one of the most favored Airsoft shotguns on the market. Revered for its realist build and operation and variety of configurations, the APS CAM870 quickly became one of the most popular Airsoft gun on the market over the last few years. After listening to the feedback of Airsofters and industry professionals, APS went back to the drawing board to make the CAM870 even better.
The result is the CAM870 MKII. Identical in exterior design and build quality, the CAM870 MKII retains all of the hallmarks of the original CAM870 such as the pump action and shell ejecting action. APS however, has entirely redesigned the CAM870 gas system for the MKII system. Instead of using a complicated charging rig and having to charge each individual shotgun shell, the MKII gas system holds the gas in the bolt, requiring the user to only have to charge the bolt, reducing time spent loading and cost of shells.
Quite possibly the most realistic airsoft shotgun in the world, the APS M870 borrows from the APM50 Cartridge Ejecting Sniper RIfle and brings CQB to a whole other level.
Unlike conventional airsoft shotguns, the CAM870's power comes from the Bolt itself rather than an internal gun reservoir or a spring. This allows the shotgun to be loaded with multiple shells as well as offer a realistic and smooth action with the distinctive racking sound we are all fond of followed by the ejection of a shell with each cycle.
The main feature that sets this shotgun apart from any other airsoft shotgun how the BB's are loaded into each individual shell. A plastic cup holds up to twelve 6mm BB's within the shell before it is capped with a paper top; because of how this system works, there is no longer a need for inner barrels so you may experiment with the amount of BB's to load or you may mix and match different weights of BB's and even mix in 8mm BB's for even more unique spreads. No other shotgun in airsoft will come even close to the amount of BB's fired in one pull of the trigger, nor will they come even close to giving you the spread pattern and coverage of the CAM870.
The build quality of this shotgun is also very impressive. The CAM870 boasts an impressive heft to it adding to the realism. Metal parts include the internals, receiver, barrel, magazine tube, trigger guard, trigger, and action. With a 6+1 ammo capacity, you will have more than enough overwhelming firepower to clear any room.

" I got the classic wood model; the feeling is amazing; the weight is also cool. It's a shotgun, so handle it like a shotgun.
The only thing I'd like to clarify is that this (classic wood) model has a 4+1 shell capacity rather than a 5+1. Don't force one extra shell in (why would you?), or you will have some hassle removing it. I tried a few reload modules on this, and it's very smooth.
" This shotgun is so much fun.
to clarify, I immediately swapped the bolt on mine out for the mkIII so I use the Smart Shells not MKII shells. the racking on this gun feels great. the sound is a bit different than a real pump action but functionally its an 870. I find with the mkIII bolt and smart shells with co2, I get around 50 to 60 feet of range. And if I use .3g bbs I can get a decently tight grouping. I cant wait to bring it to a field. I do wish EVIKE carried the MKIII versions or at least the MKIII bolt. I had to order mine from over seas. definitely worth it though I also wish EVIKE carried the Xpower shells.
Pros
lots of parts available to customize with
looks and feels amazing!
feels very sturdy when shooting
pretty easy to take down and clean
lots of options for loading to tune it to your way of playing
unlike with spring powered shotguns and other gas powered you get a true spread with far more bbs (using normal aps cups I can get 15 bbs per shot)
cons
loading the next shell can be a little touchy some times and takes practice to get perfect (literally practice makes perfect)
I love shooting the gun it has definitely become my favorite gun in my arsenal. and I would say that this is a true airsoft shot gun.
" Bad ass machine, great material quality and weight.
(The included shells are transparent white if anyone was curious)
