The revolutionary SureFire MASTERFIRE® Rapid Deploy Holster (RDH) is a lightweight, durable holster that provides a tactical advantage with its ergonomic, one-of-a-kind design. It securely holds most any railed handgun equipped with a SureFire H-Series WeaponLight, positioning it at an advantageous angle for a fast, consistent draw stroke. A proprietary lug-and-cam system locks the firearm in place with Level 3 retention, utilizing both a primary and secondary locking system, which is released by an ergonomic thumb-break for rapid weapon deployment. The holsters open design also accommodates most any red-dot optics and/or suppressor.
Unlike most holsters, the MASTERFIRE RDH interfaces with the WeaponLight, not the firearm,—so you can use one holster for multiple handguns. But what truly sets this remarkable holster apart is its unique light-activation switch, which can be set to automatically activate any of the H-Series WeaponLights when the handgun is drawn, saving valuable time in high-stress situations and making one-handed manipulations easier. This feature can also be de-activated when automatic light activation is not advantageous.
This versatile holster is also customizable and can be outfitted to fit most any hand size thanks to two included release-button adapters. Its also adjustable to fit up to 2 duty belts. For sheer versatility; a secure hold; smooth, rapid weapon deployment; and the ability to accommodate most any handgun or handgun accessory, theres no other holster like the MASTERFIRE RDH.Dimensions:

"I absolutely love this holster. While it is pricey, (Plus you need a compatible light. I bought a XH15 since it was the cheapest option.) it is awesome to have a holster that can not only fit most handguns but it allows for a muzzle attachment and even a sight. Being able to have a muzzle attachment is huge for me since I love running tracer units on my handguns. Shame there is no left hand version at this time.
Drawing is easy and fast when you get used to the slight pivoting motion you have to do. There are quite a few reviews online since it was made for real steel. (which explains the price) Also it is a level 3 retention holster. While the thumb release mechanism is more than enough, having the extra retention in the form of a switch makes me feel better. The extra retention is also useful for keeping other people from stealing my gun. (sometimes I goof around with friends during briefings and such)
Two big flaws with the design keep me from saying it is perfect though.
As another reviewer mentioned, the switch to activate the light when you draw it is a hindrance. While the switch can be turned on or off, an improper draw or holstering can rub the little latch which will cause the switch to drop down into the on position. Drawing the gun with the switch activated takes more effort and isn't as smooth as with it off which can throw you off in a critical situation. I have put a little electrical tape over the switch to keep it in place since I never need the light to activate on a draw.
The other flaw is that there is enough side to side wobble in the holster to hit the magazine release on my Hi-Capa. For me this has been a major annoyance since I have lost, and even broke a few magazines. To fix this I have shaved down the inside of the holster and my mag release button.
"Great concept. And Execution.
The holster/carrier is made well and holds onto the light as advertised. There is a little getting used to indexing and reindexing the firearm. There is a slight wobble to it but nothing serious.
Normal holsters you pull straight up out of the holster but this on you have to pivot it forward just a bit to clear it from the carrier.
But once you get used to it its pretty quick. Reindexing was my concern but after some stress testing you can jam the weapon system back into place just as quick a normal Kydex or other holster. Also it has a locking mechanism to keep firearm in place even if thumb button is activated.
The build quality is good. Very high grade polymer and the internal metal components seem solidly in place and I don't see them breaking down anytime soon.
I love the idea of "one to rule them all" holsters/carriers. So as time goes on and you upgrade or change out pistols you can just put on a Masterfire compatible light and rock and roll.
Also you don't need to worry about having optics/tall sights/suppressors/threaded barrels clearing the holster. The firearm itself is exposed, could be a con, allowing you to have the freedom of all of the above.
The light on off mechanism is kinda sticky. I think over time it will get better but out of the box I have some issues with drawing the firearm out of the carrier. It will at times stick and you will have to force it out. You can leave it off and get flawless operation.
There is enough mounting options on the back of the carrier so you can use your favorite belt system. I have the G Code RTI hanger and the adaptor that goes with it.
So all in all the carrier is great. It works well with both my CZ P09 and my CZ SP01 Shadow. There is a list in the packaging that shows all the tested firearms but its pretty safe to say that this system will fit most firearms on the market airsoft or real provided it has an underbarrel rail system. Its a big investment but the idea of just one carrier to rule them all will off set the cost in the long run.
I would recommend the full metal surefire XH35 having a full metal body vs the HX15 polymer body. The contact points on the front fo the HX15 for this system would seem to wear out quickly depending on how rough or usage.
Good build quality
Fast draw and reindexing
Automatic light on/off as you draw or holster firearm
Light on/off mechanism can stick at time and make drawing more of an effort than needed (but this could get better over time with more use)
Can be pricey, you have to buy this carrier and a Surefire Masterfire compatible light.
