" Excellent quality replica of the real thing however minor machining will be required to fit this item to the LCT/Inokatsu/Guarder AKs & AK kit guns.
Out of the box the DB GP-25 fits a real steel Arsenal SLR-107FR & Egyptian MAADI ARM like a glove. However it will not fully slide over the handguard retainer or bayonet lug of my old Guarder AKM or LCT AKS-74. Since I bought this for an airsoft gun that's a problem, good thing we can fix it!
To remedy this you'll need a mini mill or a set of coarse and mill files, a Dremel with a grinding bit, and a steady hand. Do the following at your own risk. A competent gunsmith or machinist or even a trade school machine shop should be able to complete this job if you don't feel confident.
You're going to enlarge the rear of the GP25's half moon mounting bracket to slide over the thicker handguard retainer, you're going to file the sharp edges at the top of the bracket flat until they can clear the handguard retainer at the top, and you're going to take a few thousandths off the bayonet lug lock plate on the top where it meets the bottom of the bayonet lug. Removal of the locking parts is necessary to prevent damage to them during machining and is very simply done with a small punch and a few gentle taps. You'll also want to remove the trigger assembly from the tube. This is accomplished by depressing a locking lever on the top of the trigger assembly where it meets the barrel and mount. Once depressed rotate and pull the grip assembly off the rear. set it aside.
If you're using a mini mill this is a 5 minute job with a ball end bit, if you're using a dremel and files it can take an hour or two to fit this correctly. I've done it both ways now. I much prefer the mill. Mini mills can be had for 800 bucks and if you master the machine it will pay for it's self in no time.
start by enlarging the ring at the rear of the mounting assembly until it clears the handguard retainer. If you're using a dremel use a light touch and barely press against the half moon surfaces. run the grinder evenly down the inside wall of the half moon retainer at the rear of your mount. Check for fit often. You can do this without putting it on the gun by using a set of manual calipers to measure the ID of the back of the launcher mount and the OD of the handguard retainer. The mount should be slightly smaller than the OD of the retainer when you're done and all surfaces should be smooth. Hit the sharp edges up top with a coarse file until the unit will barely start to clear. Files work in one direction so count each stroke and do an even number of strokes on both surfaces before testing for fit. I did 3 strokes with a coarse file on each side and checked for fitment before finishing the surface with a fine file and sandpaper. All surfaces should be smooth when you're done. If they're not go back with a fine "mill" file then 220 grit sandpaper until it is smooth. Your GP-25 mount should easily slide on and off with slight resistance but nothing you can't overcome with a sharp tug. You want there to be some resistance, don't go to far. You can always remove metal but replacing it is impossible.
Next take a few thousandths off the front locking latch where it meets the bottom of the bayonet lug. If you've test fit the GP25 already you should see silver in the sports that need to be filed down. Go slow and check for fit often. Again you want some resistance but nothing you can't overcome by hand.
Go to a sporting goods store and purchase a produce called Aluma Black. This is how you will hide the work you've done and if you've done it right you won't even be able to tell anything has been done to the launcher. Use a Q-tip to apply the Aluma black. let it pool on the part. You'll see bubbles, fizz, and maybe even some smoke. Wait until the part is black then remove the solution with cold water. If the finish comes off with water, reapply in the bare spots and try again until the finish stays. Once the finish is on there use an air compressor to blow off any water and oil the surface you just coated with some CLP or gun oil of your choice. Motor oil works in a pinch as does cutting oil. I wouldn't use silicone though.
Mount it up and ta da! You've fitted your GP-25.
Now if only Evike would stock the spare grenades!

This launcher is AMAZING!!!
I got this for my cyma 040 ak74 and unfortunately it seems to not be fully compatible. I was able to secure it easily but keep that in mind.
PROS:
Heavy (could be a con)
Sturdy and well built
Functional grenade launcher sight
Gorgeous aesthetics
CONS:
Heavy (could be a pro lol)
Sight seems prone to damage if dropped or hit too hard
Doesnt fit CM040 dont think its the launchers fault though
Makes the gun kinda awkward to hold
Overall i LOVE this launcher. The weight and build feel high quality and the shells look super nice. Ive never had them leak or misfire. If you want to slap a N00B T00B on your ak, or just want to make it look more badass, buy this now!!
" Looks great on my AKM. Bit of a pain to put on, I thought it wouldn't fit at first. You just gotta force it. It actually scuffed up my barrel a little bit. But overall, it's very sturdy, and looks great. But boy, it's heavy. Maybe I just need to hit the gym, but once it's on, mixed with the weight of the rifle, it's quite the workout.
Pros:
-Looks awesome.
-Works well, and as intended.
Cons:
-Pretty substantial weight increase to your rifle.
-Relatively difficult to equip to your rifle.
