" Very good gun nice battery compartment
" It seems like a lot of reviews on here are for a different model of Tavor. I owned an Ares Tavor before and there are features on this one that solve a lot of the problems that gen 1 Tavors had:
the mag release switch has a much stiffer spring on it plus the magwell is very tight, so now your mag won't wobble or accidentally drop out of your gun when your hand budges the mag release lever.
It's also a huge bonus that this model comes with a monolithic upper rail, freeing up your choice of sights to use with this rifle.
Another handy feature is that it comes with 4 qd sling points: one on each side in the front and the back. Other Tavors force you to run Paracord through a hole in the buttstock.
Some people might not like this feature, but the battery compartment is in the handguard and requires an Allen key/hex wrench to open. The compartment isn't very big, as I can just fit a 7.4v brick in there. It seems like you might be able to cut away some plastic to make more space but don't quote me on that.
The coveted quick-change spring feature is still present and accessed in the same way as before, in the buttstock. There is also a convenient tube back there to stow an Allen key for the handguard!
Last but not least is the FCU. Semi-auto with the old Tavor was unreliable with a mushy trigger and slow trigger response. With the FCU, you can feel a click where the trigger hits contacts and a full cycle of the gearbox is initiated, making for a more confident and smooth-shooting semi-auto experience. The trigger pull is still a little bit heavy and the reset is a little long and it's not as crisp as a gbb pistol but I don't know about a stock gun at this price level to have a trigger THAT nice, let alone a bullpup rifle.
Accuracy is what you'd expect from a Tavor, so no complaints there.
In my opinion, as a stock rifle, this is the best version of the Tavor being sold today. If you want one, go for this one. It will serve you well on the battlefield, as it has for me
" It's my first rifle so I can't necessarily say much on internals but from what I've read and have personally experienced the gun is decent at best unmodded. Trying to rapidly single auto the gun can cause the gun to choke up and not fire, the gun itself is pretty weighty out of the box but the stock can be pretty uncomfortable, reloading the gun can be a bit tedious with you needing to pull at the mag a bit rather than the magazine falling out like most rifles. If you're someone who knows how to tweak these guns then it may be a decent fix but for someone like me who is just getting into the hobby then I recommend a different rifle. Though if you disagree then buy it. If anyone does know how to fix internals or replace them I do have discord.
