The real KAC Stoner Light Machine Gun (LMG) is a shining star in the Stoner line-up. Originally developed by Eugene Stoner and produced by Knight's Armament Company, the Stoner LMG pays homage to the legendary Stoner 63 LMG while being lighter, better, and leaner. KAC took Stoner's design a few steps further after years of R&D, resulting in the current KAC Stoner LMG being a light weight and yet powerful machine gun that tops its peers.

Extensive tests conducted on the KAC Stoner LMG have proven its superior controllability thanks to its lower weight, the lightest in the LMG class ever developed. The increased portability and controllability has proven to be a step up from the currently in service 5.56mm machine guns.

"Just to start out, this thing is awesome! I bought it to immediately install a Polarstar Jack which was honestly super easy. I haven’t shot the it with the Jack but here’s some notes about the original:

Pros
-Piston is polymer with a FULL rack of steel teeth (different than every disassembly video on YouTube.
-Gears are generic classic army. Not bad but not great
-trigger microswitch is better than the taps on V2 gearboxes(had to solder an extra plug for the P*, but not difficult)
The box mag feed is super intuitive, 9v battery powered and easy to add BBs
Heavy enough to be an LMG, light enough to not hate carrying

Cons
-The battery storage is awful
-The motor is okay. With higher speed gears and more torque on the motor this thing would rip
The clip for the hop up is atrocious. The barrel still moves even being fully clipped in…. get the bull gear hop up if you want consistency.

Overall
I highly recommend this LMG and will likely buy another in the future.

"STONER 96 LMG AEG very good gun not to heavy but not light. only thing i dislike is the battery storage which is in the handguard.
otherwise a okay fire rate box mag is a little finicky but would still buy again
