G&P "Rapid Fire II" RIS Front End Conversion Kit for M4 / M16 Series Airsoft AEG Rifles

"Absolutely a good choice. I got mine and attached it to a G&P complete lower kit that Evike sells, and it's a good bit cheaper here than it was on Ehobby. Performance wise it is revolutionary-essentially transforming your AEG into two guns with the addition or subtraction of the qd barrel extension. Using .25g bb's , mine was shooting around 380-385 fps with the extension, around 320 without. Folks using .20s can expect over 400 fps and 345ish..


Pros: Looks amazing
unique
gives you a wide variety of power options w/out messing w/springs
easily qualifies for cqb/ but still works on the field

Cons: RIS and extension combined a little heavy
Accuracy suffers at ranges over 100'
Personally I wish there was a similar front end but with a longer barrel-I think
a 363 mm barrel w/ this extension might boost accuracy , but that is just my
opinion..

Overall I give this 5 stars, I hope there are further developments and similar products coming out in the future..I would love to see a gun that has it's lower end fps at 400 , with it's higher end closer to 475- kind of a dmr/sniper platform!!
G&P got it right!

"This is a very good looking front end and quality materials. Put this on a G&P receiver with no issues. Kind of gives you a unique sound to your gun with the barrel extension off possibly due to the inner barrel not being tapered on the inside but rather the outside to fit the mock silencer barrel extension over it and the resonation of the RIS.

The barrel extension also gives you a huge FPS boost. With mine I got about 60fps increase!

The only down side to this is the barrel extension doesn't really line up with the inner barrel very well which seems to throw the accuracy off significantly. Looking down the barrel it looks as if the bb could hit a possible groove where the extension meets the inner barrel and completely throw the bb off its current trajectory. I'm sure you could mod the inner barrel to line up with the barrel extension if you see this issue as well but I didn't care enough to take the time to do this.

So if you are looking for a small CQB front end I would recommend this but keep the silencer to the side if yours does not line up properly but wouldn't really be worth the price in that scenario. Also the inner barrel on the mock silencer doesn't seem like it can be removed either or very easily for that matter if you wanted to use it just as a mock silencer.

3 stars for the barrel extension issue which I am sure boosts the price of this product up quite a bit.
