Tanaka Works M24 SWS Bolt Action Airsoft Sniper Rifle

"This one is a dark horse, here’s why. I originally bought this sniper rifle thinking that it was going to be the gas version. I was looking forward to the usual Tanaka smoothness when it comes to the bolt charge. I have five Tanaka gas injection sniper rifles, including the shell ejection m401a and I have to say that they all perform very well. When I first looked at the description of this sniper rifle, I could not find anywhere that stated whether or not it was powered by green gas or a spring. I talked to some people and watched some videos, but still could not get an answer until I spoke to someone (won’t name any names lol) who told me with 100% confidence that it was the green gas version. I didn’t order any extra magazines because I figured my other Tanaka magazines would fit no problem.

Shipping was very quick, and I was very excited when it arrived. I quickly unboxed it to find this beautiful and great feeling M24 sniper rifle in my hand. I took the gun to my digital range and when I went to go test the bolt pull that I noticed I was getting a slight resistance, the type of resistance you get from a spring powered rifle I thought to myself that maybe there was some leftover gas in the magazine and that was causing the resistance I was feeling as I was charging the bolt. But then soon it became apparent that this was actually a spring powered rifle, but let me say that I am so glad that I got this version because the bolt pull is extremely smooth, just as smooth as the steyr scout rifles! Although the bolt charge is a shorter pull, it’s still is buttery smooth without a hiccup, which allows you to fire off plenty of shots, one after the other. I was amazed and surprised, all at the same time since I was not expecting this type of utterly wonderful performance. Pretty soon I was rapidly firing off .36 BB’s just like my HPA Tanaka, M 700 and even better the magazine holds 24 rounds and not 9 like the gas magazines do. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the rail that sits atop the M24 is a full pic rail so you can add any scope and other accessories unlike other sniper rifles that come with only two spots to place your scope. I was so impressed with the performance that I went out and bought a very nice vortex scope for this rifle. I have never, ever felt a spring rifle this smooth other than the tac 41 series and the steyr scout series. I own 30+ sniper rifles of different variations, including spring, gas and HPA so I know what a good sniper rifle feels like and I will tell you right now that this one is right up there with the best.

I will say that this M24 does not have any special aesthetics or any fancy looking parts, it is very basic in how it looks. But that’s the sleeper, that’s the dark horse, is when you hold it in your hands with that perfect weight and buttery smooth bolt pull, you’ll soon realize that many have probably slept on this rifle, not knowing that it is truly one of the best on the market.

Only con is that the barrel and body seem to be a little wobbly from each other but this is nothing. Work every penny!
