"Pros:
- EBR, is cool
- FPS is steady with respective BB weights
- Heavy, full metal, and hard to break (seriously I've dropped this thing multiple times).
- Magazines; fitment is stellar, the natural size of M14 mags means even midcaps hold almost 200 BBs, and most of these are full metal as well.
- Accuracy is fantastic.

Cons:
- The usual junction wobbling (buttstock, buffer tube) but because it's a version 7 gearbox, the pistol grip has no motor in it and can become loose over time.
- Heavy, full metal, and hard to maneuver.
- Some sharp edges, namely the rails.
- The hop-up could use some love.

"I love this gun. I'm going to sound like I don't, but I do.

This gun is big, heavy and dumb. Forget about the slim ergonomics and stream lined design of the SR-25 or the SCAR. Forget the boringness of the FAL and G3. The M14 EBR is all the worst parts of both combined.

The railed handguard is horribly uncomfortable to hold with out a front grip. The insane weight of the gun is pushed into your hand by a full metal rail system. I used a basic front grip, but hand stops add A LOT of controllability.

The adaptation of scopes is pretty great. Using an Holo or scope is nearly necessary. The iron sight design predates the existence of eyes, so they're designed for bacterial organisms. Stock too close? Rear aperture is WAY too big. Stock too far? What rear sight? Luckily there's a huge gap between the rails that makes mounting rings nearly impossible. It worked for me. But if it doesn't work for you, it will take a GI M14 style mount, so you can literally mount anything you can imagine on this thing.

You want to pie slice rooms? Nope. Not gonna do it. The amount of momentum that the front of this gun carries is INSANE. You spend more time trying to slow the gun down than you do moving the gun. The weight is consistently insane on this gun and with out a front grip, will make your life a nightmare. This thing is a weighty beast and let's you know it.

It is not the prancing poodle that a G3 or FAL is or the perfect precision terrier that a SCAR 308 or SR-25 is. It is an 10 pound bulldog. That you will add 3 pounds of accessories to. It's not a CQB gun in the least and tbh doesn't feel much heavier with a Jag Arms Super CQB underslung on it.

Its performance? Sheer off the shelf AEG consistency. On par with my Marui M1A1. Alright. Out of the box, it's just an AEG. I didn't do anything internal to it. You know why? It's a V7 gearbox. With a modified motor mount. So, I'm not gonna touch the internals until I absolutely have to. It shoots pretty well for what it is, a cheap American market import DMR. I bought it on a whim and don't regret it.

If you want a precise and planned out DMR build, this M14 is not for your. You want a SCAR or SR-25. If you want a basic battle rifle maybe a normal M14 or G3 is for you. This is that weird gun for you. If you want to have a gun that works in both CQB and field play, get an M16. This is two trick gun. It makes a killer LMG with Hicaps and a bipod and it makes an adequate DMR with a scope. I set mine up for both.

It's a niche gun. Nothing about is amazing, nothing is terrible. It's a perfectly adequate gun for it's price range and it fits its part in ergonomics and weight. I love this gun, but it is not a "everyday gun" or a starter gun. It is a "I'll use this a few times a year" gun.

With internals that are somewhat unique and hard to get right, a weight distribution that makes a BAR laugh and the solid construction of a steel block, this gun is absolutely blissful for its price range. If you want a precision rifle with great ergonomics, look elsewhere. This is a brute force AEG dressed like a precision rifle. Don't even get me started on it's weird "transition gun" controls.

But mine looks awesome and shoots well with a scope, PEQ, hand grip and bipod. It's good for field play, terrible for cqb and looks its part. I think it's an absolutely worth it rifle for its cost if you want an adequate DMR style M14. If you want tons of customizability or ergonomics, this gun is not for you. The combination of the V7 Modified gearbox and M14 externals makes for a clunky gun with lesser options than a classic sr25 or scar. It's a really decent gun that I love to have and hate to tote.

If you got the money to burn, get it. I like it.
If you're looking for a customizable and perfectly controllable rifle? No.
