Why Mid-Cap Magazines? Mid-Capacity magazines offer stealth operation by eliminating BB rattle often experienced with Hi-Caps. They feed smoother than Hi-Caps due to their high tension internal spring, similar to a real steel magazine. Since 470 round Hi-Capacity magazines don't exist in real life, a good amount of Mil-Sim players prefer Mid-Cap magazines for an even more realistic type of gaming experience.
Due to the design of all Mid-Cap magazines, they actually function better once you break them in. To do so spray some light silicone oil into the magazine, load and unload it a few times until BB's feed smoothly. This process breaks in the internal spring allowing it to function without problems each and every time.

" Study construction and a smooth/snappy lockup. Slightly bulkier than E&L 74 magazines. Fits perfect in my E&L AK105 after a very short period of break-in. Great option if you want a bit of diversity in your selection of mags for your E&L Essential AK variant.
" This is the magazine that is sold with the E&L AK-12 series guns. I have tested it on the E&L AK-12 and a CYMA AK-47 (CM028), and I have compared it with Arcturus and CYMA magazines.
Pros:
• It works on the E&L AK-12.
• It works on the CYMA CM028. It is loose, wobbly, and might misfeed, but it does work. Don't buy this for a CYMA. There are cheaper magazines that work better. If you insist on an AK-12 style magazine for your CYMA, the Arcturus one is better in every way but is a little more expensive.
• I have had no issues with this magazine.
• Objectively, it is pretty good.
Cons:
• It feels like a cheap toy when it is compared to the Arcturus one.
• The plastic is soft. This means that it will wear out faster than other brands.
• The quality isn't exactly bad; it's just okay.
• It is not worth $17. When compared to the $20 Arcturus magazines, I wouldn't pay any more than $14 for this.
• Despite coming from the same manufacturer, this magazine fits a little loose in the E&L AK-12 and wobbles a lot. The magazine's quality does not match the guns it comes with.
Ultimately, if you have an E&L AK-12, buy the Arcturus magazines instead. They cost only $3 more and their quality matches that of E&L's guns. They are superior in every way. If your budget is big enough to buy an E&L, then you can probably afford to pay an extra $3 for a better magazine. If you don't want to spend that much on extra magazines, CYMA magazines have a tighter fit and lower cost, but you might need to file them down a little so you can load them more easily.
