- Hardened steel construction
- Designed to fit into your suppressor and rifles barrel to check proper alignment
- Prevents catastrophic suppressor failure
The Geissele Suppressor Alignment Gage (SAG) is a precision gage used to verify the alignment of a suppressor to the bore of a firearm barrel.
It is important to understand that the length of the suppressor is usually much longer than the length of the barrel / muzzle device / suppressor interface geometry. A small deviation at the mounting interface means a much larger deviation of the suppressor exit hole. The deviations from nominal can also be additive which compounds suppressor misalignment. The Geissele SAG is manufactured from hardened steel that has been ground 0.002 under nominal bore diameter. The outside diameter of the SAG is finely finished and straight to 0.001 over its length. Geissele hardens the SAG so that it will not wear by sliding exposure to abrasive powder residue, pull burrs if it slides against misaligned baffles nor allow abrasive particle to imbed into the surface of the gage. There can be a wide variation in barrel bore diameters and bore straightness. 0.002 under nominal bore diameter has been found to be the best size of the SAG that will fit most barrels. The long length of the SAG aligns the gage to the bore; it is not necessary to have a very tight fitting gage with the long length of the Geissele SAG.Note:
Suppressor alignment is determined by several factors: 1. Centerline alignment (offset and angular) of the barrel threads to the bore. 2. Perpendicularity of the barrel shoulder to the threads. 3. Alignment of the muzzle devices internal diameter threads and torque shoulder to the suppressor attachment geometry. 4. Alignment of the suppressor mounting ID geometry to the bore of the suppressor.

About Geissele Automatics
THE GEISSELE MISSIONTo prove, every day, that the Golden Rule works: "Do to others as you would have them do to you" Luke 6:31."We Manufacture Confidence" FOR THE COMPETITORGeissele Automatics was established in 2004 as a manufacturer of trigger mechanisms for the AR15 rifle. Our first trigger, the Hi-Speed National Match, was designed by our Founder, Bill Geissele, for CMP and NRA Hi-Power Rifle competition.FOR THE WARFIGHTERAlthough designed for target shooting, the Geissele Hi-Speed trigger was found by the U.S. Military to have applications in semi-automatic sniper weapons. In 2005 Geissele Automatics received a request from the Department of Defense: "Can you build us a select-fire trigger that is as good as your Hi-Speed?" In response, Bill designed the Geissele Super Select-Fire trigger (SSF). After rigorous testing the SSF was adopted by entities in the U.S. Special Operations community and has become their trigger of choice for M4 carbine based weapons.FOR THE PROTECTORA derivative of the SSF trigger was developed to meet the needs of law enforcement and civilians who do not need select-fire capability. This trigger, the Super Semi-Automatic (SSA,) combines stellar performance with the safety, reliability and forgiveness for which 2 stage triggers are known.
