"Hi, so I purchased this on the last week of February. I ran 800 bb's through the replica. It was kicking out .32g bb's 325 fps@ 1.57 joules even with being "broken in". I replaced the spring with a M110 and now it is kicking out .32g 283 fps @ 1.19 joule. I have broken two "cheaper" rifles trying to learn the craft of airsoft repair. I am very happy with the performance of this Umarex 416. It is a very well built replica.

"Wanna make this quick.
Pros: Shoots great, accurate
You get what you paid for
Cons: moter gets hot after a long time of using, (using an 11.4v titan.)
The bolt holding the spring in place broke randomly while shooting one day. Easy fix however it cost me 30 bucks.

"This is the biggest airsoft purchase I have made and I do not regret it.

I run a stick 11.1v 1200mAh LiPo with it because a battery longer than like 140mm will have a harder time fitting in the buffer tube. The trigger response is crisp and gets the shot off nicely.

For range, the 416 can easily go past 150ft with 0.3g BBs and I haven't gotten the chance to go beyond that yet. I'm sure you can trust the other reviews stating even 200ft stock though. It shoots a little hot starting off but settles to the 400-410 fps range with 0.2g.

I run PTS EPM1s with the rifle and it is a very tight fit. They feed very well, even with full auto. However, one of my mags may occasionally suffer from midcap syndrome and causes the BB to fall short-likely because I haven't fully broken them in yet.

The only problematic part of is the flashhider. I had to use a hair dryer to heat the tip for a couple minutes before using a small Allen key to remove the screw. Then I had to twist off the tip with a clamp in small intervals between heating (righty-loosy).

In all, you're paying a decent premium for the rifle but you definitely get what you paid for. If you're narcissistic, you'll love this rifle for how it looks and the compliments you get every game. You and the people you play with will love it.

"While the price tag is a bit much for most people I will say its most definitely worth it. I play in a close to medium range environment, and its nothing more than really 55-65 yards at a time. This gun can easily beam people from 70+ yards no problem and best part of all is its very reliable and easy to use. Its one of the more better built guns in my collection. If you are looking for a durable, sexy, and great preforming gun out of the box this is the option to go with.

"Hands down, this is an excellent gun. I've been using this as my primary for quite some time now. It's got some weight to it but most people don't mind that, I don't, just something you will notice when handling one of these 416s. The Avalon gear box is reliable and durable. I've never had a malfunction with this gun and I've easily put over 15,000 BBs through it. Shoots like a laser with an 11.1v LiPo stick in it. Absolutely nothing needs to be upgraded out of the box. For comfort/shooting purposes, you may want to add a more comfortable (wider) stock w/ rubber butt pad, an angled or vertical foregrip, and some type of red dot optic. This gun is worth every penny in that price tag.

"THIS IS A MUST READ IF U WANT TO PUT THE POLARSTAR FUSION INTO THIS GUN. This gun is amazing the aeg performance is as good as it's going to get for an out of the box aeg stock however, I bought the gun just to put a fusion engine into it and I spent 9 hours trying to do it. The lower reciever doesn't like the fusion engine body for some reason and it just doesn't sit right and the pins wont line up. There is hope if u do want to put a polarstar into it. The polar star jack will go into the gearbox shell and u wont have problems putting in due to the fact that ur just taking aeg parts out of gearbox and putting hpa unit into it.

"Holy crap!!! those were my exact words when I first shot this rifle.

As always I’ll describe what products I used in the testing of this rifle.

BBs: Elite Force .32g Milsim max bio bbs.

Battery: Valkin 11.1 1200 mAh nunchuck style battery.

Mags: Aries 140 round translucent midcaps.

First off this rifle is by far the nicest feeling airsoft gun I’ve ever owned. The external build feels superb and there is little to no wiggle anywhere. The only “noticeable” wiggle is between the upper and lower receiver when you try and wiggle them.

The performance is outstanding with a crisp semi auto trigger response and excellent rate of fire on full auto. According to elite force themselves it’s 25ish RPS and I definitely appears to be close to that. I was unable to test it myself though.

The accuracy and range is what impressed me the most though. Easy 200ft accurate range out of the box using Elite Force .32g BBs. Probably shot 225-250ft total.

The only “con” so far I have found is the stock. It does make batteries a little harder to fit but any buffer tube lipo should work but I do not have one to test. When I played a game with mine I used a crane style stock I had sitting around and an 11.1 nunchuck battery. I do love the slim stock overall and will be getting the appropriate battery for it.

Overall this AEG is the most impressive I have ever used out of the box and I highly recommend it.

"This is hands down the best gun I've ever used. It shoots 410 fps /-3 fps from the box (.20g bbs), and does this at 21rps using a titan power 11.1 3000 mah li-ion battery. The stock slim stock barely has enough room for a battery, especially with the fuse in the buffer tube, so I swapped it out for an EPS. I love the ambidextrous controls on everything, and overall an amazing gun.

"Just got this rifle in a few days ago. GREAT external build quality. Solid weight to it, no wobble, no creaking, 100% solid. It even smells like a real gun. It’s a masterpiece externally. Although the stock is small I was able to easily fit an 11.1 1500maH lipo in the buffer tube. I have two complaints about this gun, and they aren’t even really complaints, but more so things you need to be aware of. Using the 11.1 lipo in this gun, it will double cycle every once in a while when in semi auto. Not a big deal but it’s a thing. I think if you went up to an M120 spring it wouldn’t double cycle. Second, if you short stroke the trigger in the slightest bit, the gear box locks up and you have to switch to full auto to un lock it. This thing comes out the box with some really comfortable numbers on the chrono. I was getting 300fps (1.35 Jules) using .32 gram bbs. Most of the events I play have restrictions of 1.49 jules, so very glad to see it’s in spec. Over all a really solid gun, very happy with it.

"I bought this gun last winter and ran it all season as my primary. Like all VFC guns it has amazing externals and with the Avalon gearbox it is definitely a performer. I run HPA .32s in it and with an upgraded Prometheus tightbore inner barrel and an ASG 30k motor it has great trigger response. A blazing 26rps on an 11.1 25C lipo wired to deans and easily 200ft of range. Maybe 220-230ft on a good day.
The only cons with the replica is the stock motor isn't all that good. The gun would constantly lock up in semi running it on my Titan Power 11.1s. I eventually switched to a Nanotech lipo with a higher discharge rate and that somewhat help fix the issue but after the 2nd or 3rd weekend of the gun still locking up when shooting rapidly in semi I spent the $60 and just upgraded the motor. I haven't had an issue since. The other con is the price tag. It is a $450+ replica and with all upgrades and accessories( $500ish) it definitely isn't a budget AEG. I get it...Licensed trademarks add cost but it still sucks.
Overall I have to say I love this gun. I had been wanting one since Shot Show 2018 when they first revealed it and I was so happy when I finally got my hands on it. I absolutely love having it in my airsoft arsenal and even though I have added newer and more upgraded guns since I will continue to use it regularly for gameplay. I highly recommemd this gun if you are wanting an ultra premium airsoft gun and you don't mind spending the extra money to get one with fully licensed trademarks. When I think hardcore milsim guns I think of the Mk18 Mod 1, Block II, and the 416. So if you are wanting that look then this is definitley the gun for you.

"I have only run a few hundred rounds through this but it is amazingly built and very accurate to the real thing. Bought it for my boys, but I may be using it instead now that I am stateside and can play with them.

Pros: Spot on accurate, great feel. Runs great

Cons: Price is high but it is high quality. Provided magazine looks good, works ok, but is VERY loose. I switched it for some 6mm Proshop mags which are tight and function well.
Stock is awful for fitting a battery, switched it for a different one already.

Overall, the gun is really good and rounds out the collection well.

"Very accurate, excellent externals. Am using Krytac 2.8 gram bbs, and it's a laser beam at 200 feet. If you want an EOtech holo sight/magnifier to go with it for your tacticool loadouts, try snitactical.com, they have great licensed replicas for low prices.

"I have been looking into getting a 416 style airsoft rifle for a while now and decided to go for this one. I looked at a few others and made the decision on this particular 416 due to the fact its got the Gen.2 VFC V.2 Avalon gearbox. I have had my fair share of ups and downs with out of the box performance with various other guns, but this HK416A5 was ready to rock and roll the minute I pulled it from the box. I immediately noticed how solid the entire gun felt. It is not front heavy whatsoever, but still retains that beefy 416 feel. A few other things I noticed after looking it over for a few minutes was that the stock it comes with sucks. It is just terrible, plain and simple. I bought a 2600mah 11.1v 15c Li-ion nunchuck battery and 1000mah 11.1v 20c Li-po small type battery for it and for the life of me I cannot get the nunchuck to fit anywhere in the stock. The 1000mah fits perfectly inside the stock though. Highly recommed buying the PTS EPS stock for this gun as fast as you can.

I chrono'd the 416 with my xcortech x3200 MK3. Using .20 gram BBs and equipped with the 1000mah 11.1v 20c battery I was getting on average 415 fps and 23 rps straight out the box, easily reaching out past 150 feet too. Very snappy trigger response, with a bit of pull. But so far, VERY impressed with the performance of this gun. The only things I have added to it is a magpul fore grip, red dot, and a light. I also have 3 PTS midcap magazines for it which work phenomenally, no shaking or wobble to them.

So onto the pros and cons

Pros:
- great build quality. All metal and no rattling or shaking.
-the VFC gearbox, I have a feeling I might not need to open it up for a VERY long time for any reason.
-that freaking fire rate dude. It doesnt mess around. Its all business
-the iron sight system. Very nice, and folded down they are completely out of the way and ready to throw whatever optic your heart desires on top of it.
-the stock metal flash hider is a plus, but come on lets be real here, who doesnt buy a new black metal flash hider for their new gun?
-it is incredibly user friendly for both right or left handers. I shoot ambidextrous so its extremely convenient to me no matter what hand im shooting from.
-the enlarged trigger guard, you can wear the largest gloves you can find or have the worlds fattest finger and im still positive you could still pull the trigger with ease.
-the dual mosfets. That is DEFINITELY a nice plus. This monster definitely without a doubt craves lithium batteries.
-its a 416, what else is their to say?

Now for literally the only con I could come up with:
-that stupid stock. There is almost no space for any decent batteries and the plate that you slide off to access the sad excuse of your battery storage space is cheap. The little piece you push back on with your finger that allows you to slide the plate off the stock broke after like 4 uses of the gun, so yeah. Like I said earlier, just do yourself a favor and buy the PTS EPS stock. But I will not lie, the stock itself is actually pretty comfortable to me.

All in all, I havent had enough time to actually dig real deep into this gun so these are just all first impressions based on some basic testing and a few hours of messing with it. If you can afford it, just get it. You will not be disappointed.

"This would have to be my first review and overall I would say the gun was pretty impressive. I have been using the gun since release and it has held nicely. What I would say are pros have been cover but for cons I have new problems. First, the high cap magazine that comes with the gun is great but over time the wind-up tool scrapes back against the metal to a point where it is difficult to connect the tool with the gear box. That being said I would recommend replacing the magazine. Next, the stock. Personally I don't like the way it looks but after a couple months the plate on the stock's locking mechanism broke so a point in which I could not access the battery. So if you have another M4 stock available I would suggest using one, or being incredible cautious about how and or what you do regarding the plate. Overall with all of this said I would highly recommend this weapon.
