"The DT-4 can handle very powerful motors without over spinning, I use a "Lonex TITAN Supreme Edition Airsoft AEG Motor - Torque & Speed / Long" motor and it runs great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeH-78eoGPg

One of the rotary hop ups arrived broken, but that didn't stop me from dominating in my first game with the DT-4. Contact your local fields before you buy this thing so that you know you can use it.

"Not a huge fan of M4's or AEG's but this one caught my eye. Bought it on sale and tbh it's kinda mid. The double barrel concept is fun to use and the actual quality of the gun is nice, but the fire rate is OK, it only has a top rail, the stock is kinda flimsy, and it comes with HIGH CAPS. Why does a $450+ airsoft gun come with high caps? get rid of that Sh**! Bought some 300 extended mid caps and this thing almost never runs out of ammo now.

"So i bought the blue one.

Its exactly what i was hoping it would be

The front handguard isnt at fat as i thought it would be. Which is good. Also i thought it was gonna be heavier than it is

Fire rate is slow on full auto....makes sense
Semi is snappy and has a very kachug sound moving so much mass.

Stock has a ton of space...very nice. Classic army does disclose to not use a lipo with a discharge rate over 20c. And only to use a 7.4 or 11.1 lipo. They dont reccomend anything but a lipo

The hopups do ok. Took alot to hop the .25 i was using. Was going 200ft consistent.

I tried epm mags and the fit was perfect. My ares amoeba mags are very tight in it. Metal mags fit good. Had some odd hex mags and those worked fine as well.

No mags dropped free of the gun upon release. Had to pull all mags out. Not really a bad thing but something to be aware. The ones with it didnt drop freely either.

The biggest drawback so far is the blue finish is honestly terrible. Idk if its just mine or only the blue ones but ive only shot it to adjust the hop and the finish is scratched. The finish looks really cheap. No way its powdercoated or cerakoted. Seems like a cheap enamel paint with no top coat/clear coat. I took the front reciever pin out with a plastic punch.....plastic and hurt the finish. I have many airsoft pews that a brass wouldnt even hurt the finish.

Also it never came with any mlok rails.....so pick some up if u plan to use accessories on it.

"The overall build quality, externally, is good. Metal body, solid construction, very thick, controls work well, etc. No complaints so far.

The gun uses a single motor, gearset, and trigger switch with a dual piston/cylinder design, which is ironic because the trigger response with an 11.1 is very crisp, mainly due to the microswitch/MOSFET built in. Very good quality there.

The butt stock holds a LOT of battery space, but opening it is kind of a pain with it's very limited grip slider button to unlock the back. Small price to pay for the massive space to store cells.

It's VERY heavy compared to a standard m4, I came from a polarstar vfc m27 into this and gained several pounds. After attaching an ml36, a spectre dr1, and an o light, I was at 13.5lbs.

The quality of parts used in the barrel/hop unit we're absolutely garbage. Out of the box, this gun did not even fire properly as it would hit the ground after about 30 feet or less, the hopups refused to engage no matter what the setting, either side.

After breaking in about 200 rds, ONE BARREL shot MAYBE 150. this is disgusting quality for the price. The hopups units were constructed of the cheapest blue plastic I've ever seen, and do not work properly. Barrel clamp snapped just taking it off.

The specs here are not right, this gun does NOT take standard hopups units for m4. Maxxpro, bullgear, g&g, krytac, and others all DO NOT WORK. this is due to the stock hopups being extremely low profile, the vertical cutout for the hop is extremely short, not allowing aftermarket hops in. I will have to do some carving with my Dremel to make after arket hopups fit.

The magwell is tight, with EPM1s at least.
Selector switch is wobbly, and the bolt is one solid piece, so it opens both ejection ports at once, with one bolt release.

The barrels are close enough together that the rail system is JUST narrow enough to mount a taginn ML36 with a little wiggling, securely. This also means the barrels are so close together you cannot run dual amplifiers, if your aftermarket flash hider is much thicker than the barrel, they won't coexist. I currently have ONE amplifier and then an APS flash hider, and they're touching.

Otherwise, it takes forever to reload, I haven't once had this thing shoot properly out of the box, even after putting in brand new maple leaf buckings.

If you want to run this without work, forget it. It doesn't work out of the box.

If youre a tech and are ready for a wonderful project toy, go for it.
