Condor Outdoor founds its beginnings early on as a camping goods manufacturer. The earlier days of the company were more focused on getting people out into nature and experiencing the wonder of the outdoors. As our product line expanded, the demand for function focused gear instead of general storage became more prevalent and as the War on Terror started we could not keep up with the demand for our products. Our quality and price of the 3-day Assault Pack drew so much attention that it became the heart of our tactical product line. From here we've expanded from camping vests to tactical vests, and expanding the product offering to equip warfighters, law enforcement, and hunters with quality and affordable gear.
(Write a review) "These side plate pouches go into the velcro slot that is inside the cummerbund panel of the VAS plate carrier addon. Basically, you shove the plate into the pouch, fold the flap over the top and then shove that into the cummerbund. This makes the plate ride rather high if you aren't used to hard side plates, but aren't explicitly uncomfortable-- they only push into your armpits if you have a large upper torso.
Side note-- these pouches are rather small, and probably aren't supposed to be used with curved plates. Flat AR500 side plates fit great, but thicker polycarbonate or curved plates will have a hard time fitting. Similarly, dummy plates such as the Evike dummy plates have a hard time fitting and must be bent slightly to accomodate the increase in width.
Apart from the issue with curved/thicker plates, these pouches are great. Write a Review
