"FYI I bought this on a sale for $240.
The externals of this gun are amazing and it feels like a real gun. The internals of this gun are also pretty good, this is my first gun so I can't compare it too much. I was shooting about 100 feet and it could consistently hit the target. I wouldn't be surprised if this gun can shoot much farther than that. The only downside of this gun is when you bump the rail, the fake gas tube rattles around.

"Sturdy and accurate, it's my new favorite rifle. Played a few games and after adjusting the hop up, im pleased with the accuracy of this gun. Make sure to run a 11.1 titan battery for the best rate of fire. This is a big step up from krytac.

"I have not been able to play a game with it yet as I am sick but as soon as I can I will update the review.

After receiving this gun I must say the build quality is extremally nice. Removing the orange tip was a bit of a pain but some channel locks and LOTS of heat to loosen the glue made it a lot easier. The fire selector does have a little slop in it but with it being an ambi selector that uses gears its kind of to be expected. I have taken this gun pretty much completely apart to look at the build and fit quality. The only part I have not opened is the gearbox as there is really no need to. The mock gas tube on the gun I do wish connected to the barrel better instead of just the front. If you bump the hang guard it sounds like a door stop :D. The two screws holding the barrel to the main part of the upper were a little loose and made the barrel wobble a little. Not a massive deal but a little thread lock on them from the factory would keep them from backing out in shipping in cold weather. The M-LOK rail was on nice and tight and the finish is about what you would expect from most M-LOK systems. The backup sights seem pretty cheap and honestly I would just leave them off. They feel very toy like and take away from the quality of the rest of the gun. The straight trigger is a nice feeling trigger and the QRS crane stock is really well built. The documentation the gun came with is nice for anyone that has no idea how to operate an AEG. The only thing I wish it had was a walk through on changing the "Quick" change spring. This is not a true full quick change spring system. You still need to remove the gearbox from the lower to get to it. You just do not need to crack open the box. As far as battery go I am able to fit https://www.evike.com/products/87465/ in the stock with 0 issues. I do not put it down the buffer tube it just sits in the back where the butt plate closes. The inner barrel and hop up came with a good amount of silicone oil and should be fine on the first game. The mock bolt catch for the hopup adjustment is nice but the bolt release at least on mine takes a little more force to release the bolt then I like. It works fine just I would like less resistance is all.

Ok so thats all the good now time for really the only bad I have found so far.

The QRS mag it came with. This is by far the WORST mag I have ever felt. The mag feels like it was put together by a 5 year old in a dark room and is kind of a pain to feed into the mag well. I have some generic mags that I bought 10+ years ago for my CA M4 that work and feel 1000x better. Needless to say this QRS mag will go with the pile of junk mags to never be used.

"“It’s true; all of it.”

First off, I’m very impressed. This has been hyped as a, “Krytac killer”, and out of the box, I have to say that it has a faster trigger response and rate of fire than my Krytac.

Accuracy was great. Range was pretty good-about 200’ is very doable.

I was surprised that the wiring was as thin as it was. I have to say I was a bit disappointed there. It is wired for Tamiya. The stock holds my 9.6V round nunchucks, but just barely. I did have a malfunction which, apparently, VFC is aware of, since they said if it stops firing, just switch to full auto and then back, which cleared it. It’s disappointing that the manufacturer is aware of this defect, *yet still sells it*. Come on, VFC-get this defect fixed!

I’d give it 4 1/2 stars if I could. The electrical system just is not as good as it could be. If I upgrade this, it will likely be just re-wiring the entire electrical system.

Overall, there really isn’t anything that *needs* upgrading, unless you are running Deans connectors. (But, even then, the wiring is so thin that I don’t think you’re going to gain anything in performance). So basically, if you like the look of the rifle, buy it. It will perform as well as it’s advertised.

"I purchased this a few months back and had my first chance to field it this weekend. Shot consistently at 1st day chrono at 399, 398, 400, 399. After a LONG day of games and about 5000 rds.. getting the spring broke in it chrono'd at 393, 394,392,393 on day 2. Rof with an 11.1v will make a guy happy for it not being upgraded. Trigger response for those of you (myself included) that like to shoot semi alot, is pretty prime especially for being stock. The only issue I found so far after about 10 actual in game hours of using it is the Elite Force midcaps I have were a little finicky. I had to slide them into the mag well partially and then give them a good slap into place. Not everyone's ideal thing I know but they fed just fine.
SIMPLE BREAKDOWN for those that don't wanna read the top.
Pros-
Rof for stock is better than expected with an 11.1v
Comfortable, the motor grip isn't bulky and awkward
The trigger rest, not gonna lie thought it was meh, after holding it in staging I found my finger was always on it. (I guess I did learn trigger discipline at a very young age but anyways.)
The stock is comfy on the shoulder
Good range and accuracy. Was using .25s but probably should bump to .28s
CONSISTENT fps ranging within 3 fps of each other
Now for the cons
Side tubes on the stock don't fit my titan 11.1v nunchuck but 1 can slide down the buffer tube and the lil guy can sit just beneath the butt plate going vertical so not a terrible con
Not all mags work with it. The QRS that came with it obviously does, EF mags can be tricky but still feed. Hear BAMF mags work just fine but haven't tested them yet.
And that's about it. I'm loving it.

"I recently just bought this gun (not from evike but from a local dealer) and I have to say, this is a pretty good gun. I own the vfc vr16 calibur for a few years now and decided to see what's all new on these guns. Man, the saber blows my calibur out of this world. I really enjoy the ambidextrous mag release and fire selector. That and if you have an issue with the mags not coming out (mine were fine) its a simple fix of loosing a screw and hand tightening the mag release to your preferred tension. Mine did shoot a little over 400 FPS but I have the spring compressed right now which will help lower that down. I haven't gotten into the gear box yet since there is no need to at this time but I'm sure it'll be the same thi g as my old calibur was which means it'll have a easy spring change that you can do with your thumb. That and I was kinda worried about the weight since my calibur was pretty heavy and holding the saber compared to my calibur is light and day.

"I purchased this gun to play indoor CQB, very light for being all metal. Stock is wobbly but that's easily fixable. I installed a gate titan to shorten how far i need to pull for it to cycle and modified the trigger so it can only be pulled as far back as when it cycles, this thing is a speed machine. Would highly recommend. Looks great with the xt301 tracer by the way.

"This gun is a monster with an 11.1 v liop
Definitely the best aeg I have ever owned,
Snappy trigger response and high rof, all of this and pinpoint accuracy. This is a krytec killer 100%

"Have had the gun for a few weeks now and was very pleased with it it's the first vfc gun I have had and now I see what people have been talking about the only concern I have is the barrel wobble I was able to fix it some magwell is a picky but that ok

"Had the rifle for about a month and just stopped working.Talked to the very helpful techs at Evike and could not resolve the problem.Sent rifle back and received store credit.I am very pleased with Evike's customer service and fast response to my situation.

"Just received my rifle today and shot a few mags through it.Got less than 2" grouping on full auto burst.Very nice trigger pull,ROF and overall excellent external build, would recommend.

"This gun on an 11.1 is amazing.

Pros:
Trigger response is almost instant
Great Rof
Pre upgraded externals(trigger guard, trigger, stock, etc)
Has very nice stock battery space.
Amazing range!

Cons:
None I can really think of

I can see a possibly more experienced player buying this gun but this would be a great gun for regular field games and milsim. It shoots like a 416( it has the same gear box only upgraded)and also a cheaper alternative

10/10 would buy again

"This was my first airsoft gun and it is a really overkill one to start with, but I definitely think it'll be one that I use for a long time. Has a lot of good mechanics and the ability to essentially use it as a DMR or AR is really nice. Changing the spring is really easy and the performance is super good. I've had very few issues with it except a difficult charging handle that is a little loose, meaning getting to the hop-up can be weird. But that is a small thing that doesn't really affect much. I'm really happy with this and it has been my go-to primary. I will say though that, as a very first gun I do think that it would be better to go with something cheaper since again, this was overkill and has a lot of features that I never fully took advantage of but still. One issue though is the weight where if you are gonna be running around with this gun it is quite heavy, making it difficult to run around with for a long period of time. So just keep that in mind when you purchase it!

"This was my first airsoft gun and I'll admit it was a bit overkill, but it is very nice. Excellent feel and weight, great build quality, and it is accurate and fires pretty powerful. I have had some issues with the bolt catcher but that is more just an aesthetic thing, and the battery wire in the handle got loose so I have a hard time getting a battery in, but it is excellent and has an amazing amount of versatility and allows for plenty of customization. I really like this gun, and I'm very impressed with it so far!

"great and snappy weapon, honestly straight outta the box it felt amazing. the hop up adjustment was a little stiff but if u got a little bit of a nail u should be able to turn it no problem. I love the stippling on the pistol grip! its nice and textured perfectly. the only first problem i had was the actual mlok hand guard. i bought some picatinny rails to go with this rifle since i had never had any mlok systems, and i gotta say it was kinda difficult getting the picatinny rail off to try and adjust. but it comes with practice!

Batterys: i recommend any 11.1 lipo, but make sure it is the nunchuck or the small block type. i have a butterfly and it was kinda hard sticking it into the stock because of the wiring system and then it was super hard to get the buttstock closed because of the fuse and the way i had the wires placed in there. i recommend for this stock to get a little bit and i mean just a little bit wider the side battery compartments. my stock also kinda wobbles a little even though it is fully locked into place.

ALSO the mag well, boy getting a magazine in there is kinda rough! it really has to be manipulated in there to click and stay. or else u will get feeding issues. but its not a serous problem! i really like the weapon and its a nice gun for my collection i will definitely be using this for a long time.
