"ive had the gun over a year now and no problems with it yet, it has great range and with it being so short it corners very well. easy to work on and easy to use

"Quick follow-up.

My beef with this gun:

-Very loud report and gearbox.
-Short barrel means barrel extensions are a necessity if you want to mount suppressors/tracer units.
-Does come with a mosfet, which takes up a considerable amount of space in the stock. Peq batteries are the way to go here.
-Disassembles easily, like an AUG should. If something falls out when you do, it’s probably the metal plate that adds tension to the push-in bar that holds the reciever in place, or the removable safety.
-Careful taking the gearbox out as repeated removal may result in frayed wires at the bottom.
-Sometimes the gun will not cycle completely in semi-auto, but I think that has more to do with my battery (1300mAh 30C 7.4v)
-I hate the high-cap that comes with it. It works, but sometimes the bbs will not feed properly, requiring intermittent, annoying scrolling.
-The charging handle is plastic and the slide mechanism is a bit hard to pull/fidgety.
-Shoots hot out of the box: 410fps with .20g.

Positives:

-I stand by the gun’s polymer body. Very solid, sturdy gun.
-Upper rec is very nice quality and full metal, seemingly flawless.
-Dual-stage trigger is lovely.
-Barrel, reciever, quick change spring all very easy to remove and replace.
-Well-balanced and comfortable.
-Not an m4.
-Fully upgradeable.
-Love the foregrip, which can be unscrewed to become a stubby grip.

Suggestions:

Get midcaps.
Use a peq battery.
Wear gloves.
Buy a single-point sling. There’s only one mount.
Buy barrel extensions that will let you clear the rails.
Don’t lose the ejection port cover.
Don’t knock it til you try it.

I still give 5 stars. Build quality is excellent and the gun is fun to shoot. My discrepancies are mostly subjective, anyways. Do your homework before buying.

"Weight distribution is nearly dead center with an empty mag in. It lies at the “c” in steyr mannlicher.

Tricky mag release and replacement, as it requires a smack to get in. Kinda have to place it in at the angle of the mag’s curve. No jiggling, stays in place very well.

Not sure why you wouldnt be using gloves with this weapon, but fyi, the grip and foregrip are both textured quite roughly. The foregrip can also be shortened and is made of metal.

My package weighted around 9lbs, so the gun is around 7 or 8. A little heavy.

The gun feels very very durable, but some parts are a little shaky, as if they weren’t tightened enough. Haven’t tried to remedy this yet.

Nothing but the sling mount shakes with the gun, unless yours is like mine and shipped with one (easily removable) bb trapped in the stock.

Wish I could add pictures of the battery compartment, but it’s about an inch deep, 1.5 wide, and 5 tall. This does not include the space the cords inside take up.

Overall well built, awesome gun! I just wish it’d come with a battery.

"ASG has never let me down with quality and design. Now this Aug has exceeded all my expectations. I had a JG Aug before this and the ASG Aug is better in every way. The quality of the polymer body and every switch and lever is better. The safety has a nice crisp snap too it just like the trigger. The rear sling hook is a quick release so you can quickly ready the gun. The grip that comes with the gun can be shortened is anhigh quality all metal construction. The gun comes with a small mosfet in it and it works great with my 11.1v 1550 mAh battery. Quick change spring is something that I can't really live without because this is my only gun and I need it ready for indoor our outdoor. I put a tightbore 6.01 angel barrel in this bad boy and it's got laser accuracy is to 35 feet. I love augs in general in this is THE BEST airsoft gun I have ever owned.

"Got the gun a few months back and was able to run it stock for a few games. The fps was just barely under 400 with a respectable fps paired with asg's 7.4 battery. Both range and accuracy was good.
Only issue was that the full auto stopped working due to me being harsh on the trigger, but after fixing it and upgrading the gun, I've been able to out range most other aegs with over 200ft shots.

"I'll start my review by covering the basic Pro's and Con's of the gun.
Pros:
- Super Compact (Size doesn't matter with this gun)
- Great distance and accuracy Out of the Box
- Easily accessible Hop-up
- More rails than I know what to do with
- Decent fore-grip that can be extended/shortened to the user's preference (I chose to shorten it, to keep the gun looking "uniform". The extension makes it hang lower than the bottom of the gun)
- The camo finish looks amazing (I bought the Kryptec Typhon version)
- Rate of Fire is a force to be reckoned with (I bought the ASG High Performance 7.4V 30C 1000mAh Li-Po Battery)
- The trigger works like a real AUG, a half pull gives a single shot, where as a full pull is Full Auto (Some people may prefer the standard selector switches, but this is one of my favorite features)
- Fluid reloading
- Great Iron Sights

Cons: (These aren't actual con's, just quirks I've found with the gun)
- The 45 degree rails on top don't offer a lot of room (I attempted to mount a red dot sight on the rails, but the screws didn't have enough room, so it wouldn't seat correctly. I ran into the same problem with my flashlight mount as well.)
- The fore-grip can loosen. (The extensions have loosened on me two times, but its really no big deal.)
- The battery cover on the stock is pretty tight (Again, not a big deal, I'm sure it will loosen up after i use it more. I may be a bit too picky.)

TL;DR
If you have any doubts about this gun, forget them. I've used many AEG's and this one is the most dependable, comfortable, maneuverable, and most sexiest than any I've played with.
Buy. This. Gun.

"By far one of the heaviest and most accurate Aegs i have ever owned. With the exception of the magazines, this gun is incredibly solid. Out of the box it was too hot for indoor use, but it opens quite easily and is simple to maintain. Extremely maneuverable in cqb environments, it's accuracy and rof make this a force to be noticed. Easy to reload and looks great too.

"This is AUG at it's compact-est! One hand operating compact rifle in my favorite platform!

If you are tired of M4's, get an AUG!

"Absolutely fantastic gun. Very short(CQC), loud(Relatively speaking), Accurate, Powerful. Comes with a Hi cap. Has a weight to it. So many rails for tacti-cool effect.

However, battery space is very limited, and the forward most bottom rail has the slightest give to it. And by far it greatest drawback is its dual-stage trigger. It doesn't have semi/full auto. Just a "Heavy Trigger". In my experience with it thus far, it is impossible to spam semi, you will ONLY get full auto.

"Im going to be upgrading the internals so i wont be leaving a review on that but these are my first impressions.

Pros:
-Full metal upper and sites.
-Great realistic weight.
-Looks sick!
-very maneuverable

Cons:
-Plastic body feels cheap (nothing rattles, just feels like cheap plastic, does not feel like the jg aug which feels great)

-2 stage trigger is not great. The jg aug has a solid 2 stage trigger where you know where semi is and then its another half trigger pull to full. This is basically a full trigger pull on semi then a much to full. You hear a ting sound like a metal pressure switch. Kind of sucks. But im sure i will get used to it.

Over all im a little disappointed, for $234 youd think the body would have been nicer and the trigger would be like all the other augs. Hopefully i dont have a lemon. But i do like it and cant wait to use it.

"Pros

Nice fire rate with 7.4 volt battery

Almost full metal so it's very tough

The fps is great

Cons

selected switch(for some people) because there isn't one
only for safety

"Received this in Feb, 2020. While the externals were beautiful, the internals on this little machine were a nightmare.

Hop-up won't engage, at all. Took it apart, placed a new hop arm and nub on it. Took it outside, and now if I pull the trigger it stays stuck on full-auto.

The retainer pin just falls out on mine. The barrel is marked FN FAL in permanent black marker... I think I got a return or a dud. Very unsatisfied with this
