"A great gun. Buy the drum mag or run out of ammo constantly.

Only issue is that the intended battery for this gun is greatly disputed. It says to use an 8.4 NIMH and this is what we use. Problem is that if you use full auto it will trip the MOSFET after three shots. When this happens, open the battery compartment. You will see a blinking red light. Unplug your battery and wait a moment or two before plugging it back in. This can also happen on semi auto but it usually does not. Oddly enough, if you are to hold the trigger lightly on semi auto, it will fire on full auto without tripping the MOSFET. I know weird right.

Some research suggests that a 7.4 lipo works better but it would be great if the product info reflected this theory. Ahem! EVIKE.

"gun is great, fun to use, heavy so u will need a sling, i think evike sells those too, but u will need to buy like 8 mid caps if u want to use it as a main for milsom, other then that the drum mag works really nicely and its just more fun with a tracer unit

"This shotgun is an absolute monster on the field. I've only used it outdoors and it still destroys. The drum mag is a requirement though, you'll be constantly reloading without it. As a bonus, you'll get many many compliments from people when you use this so go for it!

Only cons are the plastic outer shell and the noisy sling mounts.

"So i bought the aa12 about a year ago, along with an HPA engine and some other custom parts to convert this into a mean HPA shotgun for field play. The project just ended up sitting on the shelf for better part of a year and i never took the stock gun out to play. Recently i got bored and decided to pick up a 7.4 lith ion batt and see what it does as a stock gun. The field i play on is a combination of dense brush and conex box town with some larger open areas we call sniper alley. I threw in a bottle of .28s in the drum mag, flipped the gun to auto, and much to my surprise, started destroying the other teams numbers. The range on this gun stock is meh at best (im getting about 75ft without aiming above the target) so for field play it has limits. That being said the amount of ammo you can put in the air is insane and once you get used the range limits its easy to pick your engagments so you dont get outgunned. The rate of fire is perfect for long suppression shot strings and if you run it like a low power 3 barrel LMG you will have a ton of fun using this. Now i am going to be fixing the range issue as i have purchased new hopup arms that convert the side barrels from left/right hop to all three barrels having vertical hop abilities. This will allow all three barrels to be tuned for range and ill just let the natural flight path determine the "pattern" at range. Over all im greatly surprised by it and it will now most likely be a regular gun i throw in the kit for a day of play.

"Ive had this shotgun for going on 2 years... from a performance standpoint, i wouldnt recommend it for the money. In semi auto CQB's there is very little it offers in terms of performance and functionality that some other single projectile gun wont do better..... But from a fun and novelty standpoint, I totally would recommend it. It is very epic to play with, and the reactions it sparks from opposing player's is priceless. Also, its only worth buying if u plan to pair it up with a high capacity mag!

Pros:
- unique
- epic
- intimidating
- players are more likely to call hits
- overall excellent build quality
- select fire
- 3 bbs /shot
- more accurate then other shotguns
- 30rps in factory form
- individual hopups

Cons:
- Creaky plastic outer shell
- Huge FOV obstructing irons
- noisy sling mounts
- spongy trigger response
- limited part support
- limited accessory support
- low FPS for outdoor use
- 45 degree hop applied to bottom 2 barrels ( which quickly makes ur spread dysfunctionally large )
- expensive

"I love this gun. The first use got alot of attention and alot of kills on the field. There are downsides like creaking and range. However i got it for a cqb autoshotty i could ambush groups with. It does just that. First game I wiped out a group of 5 with a short burst.

"I don't feel very motivated to make a long review, so this will be short.

You've heard the hype for this gun if you're reading this, so I just want to say, the hype is real. I got this with 3 drum mags and one normal mag in a trade, and it runs perfectly. On an 8.4, it has great rof and trigger response, the hopups work perfectly, the range is great, and the overall feel of the gun is amazing. Literally my only gripe is that a few parts are sort of loose, although that may just be mine, so yes, if you're thinking of getting this AA-12, do it, you'll regret nothing.

"Ok so first of all this gun is a beast. I bought one of these and have gone well through 20000 bbs( keep in mind it shoots 3 bbs at a time.) and this gun never jams. I used it as a cqb tri shot lmg and initiated of of the sickest pushes to the enemy line that I have ever been apart of. 10/10 I would pay 470$ for this gun again, heck I’d even pay 570! The first time I took it on to the field I had at least 15 people compliment me on the gun. This gun is a beast and will turn heads! Do yourself a favor and pick one up!

"Best gun I ever had and is decimating in semi not to mention the full auto capabilities

"Very great gun have had it for 8 months now. I use a 7.4v lipo 2000mah I recommend using .25g bbs in it maximum effective range is about 100ft-120ft(33yds-40yds) after that distance you have to aim your gun above your target so they can drop and hit the target.

"The best shotgun in my collection.
However, I believe this only pairs well with the TM drum magazine.

This has 3 barrels and 3 adjustable hop-ups.
To access the hop-up, you have to pull the "action" back which will open a slot on the right of the shotgun revealing the 3 hop-up valves.

This can only take 7.4v Lipo's or 9.6v NiMH batteries which are held in the butt stock.
Anything above this will be rejected by the built-in MOSFET.

At 10 rounds a second, with 3 barrels, you get an effective 30 rounds a second with a distinctive sound that sends the other team running away.

The fps is at a whopping 270 fps with .20g bbs. This is low in my opinion.
Its very low, but allows for great suppression and bb showers.

"Works very well for suppression but not easy to move around with or operate in close quarters. awkward size and erganomics make it difficult to move around with, especially with the drug mag. as expected of a TM gun the hop up works amazingly and the individual hop-ups mean you can customize the pattern of your shots. FPS is on the low-side but the accuracy makes up for it, very easy to pin people down from 100+ feet away.

This gun first and foremost is a novelty, but it can definitely be used effectively, all of the problems I've listed are due to the original design of the gun it is based off of and therefore it would be unfair to score this gun badly because of it.

"All sorts of yes! This is my favorite gun of all time and it's great.
by timothy g. on 04/24/2017
"Oh wow, where to start? this gun is amazing in every way, shape and form. The triple hop up unit provides superior tuning ability in addition to just how well made every part of the gun is! My only complaint is the sling mounts as they rattle and are quite annoying while you run around. But I just took the velcro straps that came with the gun to tie them down and it's perfect. You can remove the sling points, but it's a minor point in the end. My only concerns are the repair options, as well and the battery choices. The parts are not easily replaceable and the choices you have for batteries are pretty much slimmed down to two. There is a system in the gun that will only accept certain voltage batteries, which isn't a huge default but might annoy some users. Regardless, it's a fully automatic, three round shotgun which could give less of a d*** about it's rate of fire even though it's fast with a basic battery. The first time I used this gun, I tripled my kill / death ratio to the point I stopped counting. I've never gotten a gun that has impressed me so much aside from my TM m14 which also turned me into a squealing little girl when I used it. Giggling and prancing across the battle field, you'll never regret this purchase as I'd trade all of my guns in to have this shotgun. Well, except my TM m14 since they're both a match made in heaven. In short, by seeing this gun, you have seen the most over powered gun on the market. It's like free hacks. Just get the drum mag and savor the tears. Mmmmh salty.
