"Very realistic M1911A1 pistol. Heavy weight, very accurate. I installed a tight bore 6.01 Angel barrel and get 2" groupings from 30 feet away. Highly recommended for the WWII airsofter or reenactor. Would buy this gun again hands down no problem. Use an exacto knife to cut off the orange tip. Do not attempt to pull the tip off with plyers or you will damage the rest of the barrel.

Got this amazing Airsoft pistol last week. As I collect WWII Airsoft guns this one was well worth picking up.
Very sturdy construction and heavy weight feel. The orange barrel tip is a detractor but can be removed using a razor type box cutter knife. Do not use plyers to try and pull off the tip as you will damage the outer barrel itself.
Test fired 2 mags indoors with .25 bb's and this gun is very accurate with 2" groupings from 25' away.
Would buy again !

"Picked up one of these 5 years ago as my first GBB
It’s served me very well with very minimal issues.

Pros: Great gas system
Very durable
Very reliable

Cons: Parts 57, 58, and 74 (the parts that make up the safety plunger aka the thing that lets your safety switch click in and out of place) are liable to go shooting off into the void because the safety lever comes out partially easily when the hammer is either half or fully cocked. I’ve had to order replacement parts for this a couple of times and it’s not detrimental to the operation of the gun but it’s a hassle when trying to practice proper gun safety.

TL;DR
Great build quality and efficiency overall, for a little bit less than the other KWA 1911’s. Only issue I had didn’t even interfere with the actual shooting, read cons for more info on that.

"I wanted a classic looking 1911. I went with this given KWA reputation on a tight/solid build. I got this. Was happy that it was all black. The trades are minimal and indented and blend so well it’s hardly noticeable. The outer barrel is plastic and protrudes. I would recommend (if you want to remove it to get the flush real 1911 look) so not use acetone or nail polish remover as it changes the coloring of the barrel and eats away at the material almost immediately. What you can do. Take it out. And just hold it like a pencil and rub it on sandpaper in a circle for a little bit. The plastic is pretty cheap so it comes off like an eraser. I was surprised how quick it was to wear off 1/4 inch with minimal effort. So be careful. Make it even. Clean it up. And touch up with a tiny bit of basic acrylic paint. And like that it looks more like the classic 1911.

Build. It feels tightly put together. NO WOBBLE tight mag fit. But everything worked. Really like the no wobble no rattle as I am pretty OCD. Looks good. BUT I will say the slide feels cheap. Doesn’t click clack nearly as nice or loud as many other 1911s I’ve handled. I cleaned and lubed it but still feels a little weak and sloshy. Not a huge con. But I was mildly disappointed in that. Also the hammer creates wear on the beaver tail quickly. It can be touched up if desired. Other not so great thing is the slide release with chip away at the slide notch and shows wear quickly. Just adding to the slide feels kinda cheap sadly. Just don’t do that too much and it should be fine.
I was able to put wood grips on it for a better look but you need to drill out from the underside of the grips about 3mm total depth. The bushing from the handle stick out a little more than real steel. Still not a tough adjustment to fit real grips on it. The ones it comes with are actually decent though and have weighted panels in them. But the wood looks way better.
Mags look good. Can hold 20 shots. You can get probably 20 shots but that’s about it. I may be bad at filling gas mags but I’ve done it many times and the most I can get is 1 solid mag. But it’s a thin mag and can’t hold too much so I get it.
Shooting. It’s. Ok. I expected better. Doesn’t shoot that hard. Not very loud. Ok in accuracies. Overall though with such a well fit build and look and decent gas mags it’s a good pistol. Better than the WE 1911. Though the WE metal actually looked and felt better to my surprise. But the WE build is shakey. Bad mags. And way less accurate and powerful.

I’d give it a 3.5/5. With standouts being for the right build. Nice look and feel and easily adjustable outer barrel (though the con being it’s plastic and NO ATTACHMENTS for threaded barrel) but the outer barrel doesn’t show wear so it’ll stay looking better (no scratching since plastic color will always be the black—-though I painted mine a dark gray and looks sweet and hasn’t scratches off at all)
My cons are the weak slide metal. Not as click clacky. Seemingly modest power and accuracy

I still really like it. But going into battle I’d prefer a CO2 gun or a better gas gun- the KWA M9 out performs in shooting.

"The pistol is gorgeous. They did an excellent job on capturing the feel of the 1911a1. The dissasembly is the easiest ive ever seen. (This can be fixed by you at home!)My only issue is the mag releases spring is too weak. Many people ive seen are having issues where the mag falls out durring use. Just grab your m1911a, twist the samll screw like piece thats parts of the mag release, pull out the mag release pin, (its one piece so dont be scared) then acces the spring and just stretch out the sping with your hands, and put it back in. I haven't had my m1911a1s mag release screw up since i stretched out the sping. I deducted 1 star from my review because of this. I hope this helps someone

"I have had this pistol for several months now. At first, this pistol looked ans functioned amazingly. Shortly after the magazines kept falling out. Sent in for repair. Worked great for a little while and then happened again. I have lost two magazines from this and I'm hoping it's the magazine catch and will b an easy fix, but never the less I am still not impressed with the quality of this gun for $150. Ihave heard NOTHING but good things from kwa and I may have just got a lemon but after 5 magazines (which are not cheap) I am sincerely disappointed with this pistol. In short... great look, great concept, bad execution.
