"Great little gun ive had mine for 3 years. build quality is very good. The 40rd mags can mag dump as long as you gas them up fully. Great thing with kwa is you can buy almost every single little part and o-ring from them.

Cheat Codes:
OPTICS/LIGHTS - Get 2 of the 25mm scope mounts with the pic rail on top. Remove the front sight post on the gun. clamp the two tops of the scope rings together around where the barrel meets the receiver, the top facing back and the bottom facing forward. Now you can put a micro dot on top and a light on the bottom.

MUZZLE DEVICES - The barrel is 12mm in diameter same as the kwa mp7 gbb. If you get a 12mm+ dye you can thread the barrel on the KZ.61 and run the mp7 12mm+ to 14mm- thread adapter and run whatever muzzle device you want. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE THREADS STRAIGHT. I would only recommend this if you have a decent amount of tools, a vise, and have experience using a dye.

I did these and run a T1 on top and a noveske stubby amplifier for the memes.

"Of all of my gas blowback replicas this by far is my favorite. For a long time I kept it in my bag as a back up gun for when my other replicas failed me. Unfortunately, they all failed me quite a bit.

At some point, I realized that this gun is not only a great back up gun, but can easily be used as a main, even outdoors.

I recently used it at a two day, long outdoor event in full auto and fired more than 2500 BBs. The gun simply works and keeps on ticking. Even after thousands of rounds are used. It’s compact and lightweight enough and it’s folded form to be used for CQB, I can still reach out and touch target at large outdoor fields with heavier BBs.

All of the spare parts are available through KWA’s website which means you’ll always have quick to ship Parts support.

Of the dozen or so gas blowback replicas I own this is really the only one that I would 100% suggest.

"I use the skorpion a primary cqb weapon. Out of the box it's an excellent choice. The sites are great for quick target acquisition. The folding stock detaches easily and I feel the gun handles more effectively without it. The fire selection is stiff but I rarely use single fire. The 20 rd magazine is reliable but empties quickly. I carry one 40 rd magazine for specific situations where spray fire is called for but it has finnicky charging. Keep it oiled and clean.
I holster it in a cradle rig that holds it in the small of my back. Don't scrimp on magazine pouches.
As a side note a respected rival has a brace type stock intended for the glock on his .

"I am in love with this weapon, it's quickly became my favorite side arm. I'm my opinion the weapon's strongest feature is it's speed. In CQC situations against players with AEGs, I find my scorpion consistently out shooting them. Not only in rate of fire, but in speed of operation. I've seen opponents at the same time they've seen me, both pulled the trigger at the same time, and the scorpion out preformed their AEG.

A lot of people are pointing out some pretty basic flaws, so let's look at those.

Stock: besides looking really cool it's almost a joke. Not saying you couldn't make use of it, but I found that removing it was the best option. Every holster I found that works requires you to remove the stock, likewise with forerails for grips and cameras. The weapon feels more maneuverable, and sturdy with out it. Besides that I've noticed that the stock rubs the paint off of the weapon at the point where it locks to the front sight, and could cause rust.

Magizanes: the mag that comes with the weapon is great, though small. You will run mags dry quickly, I recommend getting at least 2 extra. I've played with both the 20 round, and the 40 round. In my opinion I suggest investing in the 20 round mags. My 40 round never has enough gas to get through all 40, (running green gas) and over all I think the 20 looks and feels better. (One warning) I broke 1 mag by letting the spring slam home with no bbs loaded, cracked the plastic and now leaks. Be careful while loading, and don't let the spring slip without bbs to cushion the slam. I also recommend a drop bag, the mags feel fragile, and I'm not comfortable dropping them.

Hoslter: lot of people saying it's hard to find holsters. Brain Exploder has a paddle holster that seems to be the best option. The weapons stays where I need it, looks great, and feels great when running and drawing. You can't use the stock with the holster, but it works with both mags, and a forgrip.

"I purchased this gun a few months ago and I have to say it has definitely exceeded my expectations. The gun is extremely well built really solid no loose or cheap feeling parts and it has that realistic heft to it. The magazines for this gun are small and only hold about 22 bbs and with this guns 21 rounds a second you'll go through these mags like crazy. However they do make extended mags that hold around 40. The mags hold a good amount of gas enough for about 1 1/2 mags (I use propane so your results might be different) filling them though is quick and easy and I have never had them jam up on me. The sound this gun makes when shooting is fantastic nice and loud with a good kick due to the blow back action. The stock on it is ok I prefer using the gun in pistol mode because the stock isn't very comfortable when using it but it's good to have just in case you need it which will be very rare (it is a machine pistol after all). The gun itself is made mostly of metal except the upper part and hand grip which are a very dense polymer. If you don't like polymer you do have the option to buy a metal upper just keep in mind the gun is pretty hefty without it. All in all this is a very solid airsoft gun I highly recommend it if you like playing CQB games or even regular outdoor games too. Well worth the price you definitely get what you pay for.

"So far so good with this BB blaster.
the material quality inside does bother me a little but we will see how long they hold up.
if stuff was made with more expensive stuff and they brought the cost, velocity, and perhaps a threaded barrel I would buy another one at additional cost.

currently it feels great "out of the box" per se
.25 bio's fly menacingly to their target clearing easily 20-25 yards.
gas efficient 48 round mag works well.
stock is solid for a wire stock.
recoil is decent, enough to know that your blaster is indeed blasting.
the trigger is different but excellent.

So far I do no see why people hate on KWA GBBs.....so far.......

"what an amazing little gun really great range for such a short barrel. nice weight and recoil. wish it came with rails or a threaded outer barrel. i have found a rail system for this at www.brainexplodercreations.com and it works very well on the gun. i have used it for out door and indoor games and it out performes ar length guns with the hop up tuned and the rich weight bbs. i have had issues with not lubricating it enough which is my bad but i have fixed that. i would suggest getting lots of mags and gas only because the short mags don't last very long even on semi.

"I've used this gun at about 3 pickup games so far and its performance is exactly what i expected out of kwa.

PROS:
LOUD
mags are nice
CQB legal
small
21 RPS
Accurate enough for CQB
easy take down

CONS;
mags are expensive
the stock sucks so i use it unfolded
no rails
hard to get a good grip on the gun

"I picked up this gun to run as a secondary paired with a HPA sniper setup.

The Good

Consistent accuracy and grouping (In Semi)
Sturdy Externals (All metal body)
Reliable magazines
Smooth blowback action
Intimidating full auto
Fantastic finish
Decent gas efficiency
No mag wobble

The Bad

Wire stock is flimsy, after folding a couple of times one side bent then broke. (I picked up real steel version for the VZ.61 Pistol and it fits perfectly for about 50 dollars online)
Internals are polymer, while it survived a mil-sim event and firing around 200 shots that's nothing special.
Orange Tip is not removable, needs to be sanded filed or painted over to remove.
Hop-up uses a special tool to adjust and is quite awkward to get to, requiring you to drop the magazine and open the bolt.

As far as I'm concerned, for a realistic small sized GBB sub machine-gun this thing is great. It works out of the box looks great, feels good in the hand, and isn't too unwieldy or heavy to fire one handed. Mounting a sling can be difficult and good luck finding a holster setup that lets you keep the stock on and mag in. I rigged some zip ties through the holes on the bottom of the grip and mounted a sling that way. All said and done, I got a ton of compliments and a couple of confirmed kills out of a gun I ran as a dedicated secondary. If they got rid of the pot-metal stock this thing would easily be a 5/5 gun. Even without that, it's still worth a look if you enjoy older style Czech gear.

"Tamoor's review is spot on. After a while, the firing pin gets weak and the SMG won't fire. This started happening shortly after purchasing it. When it does shoot though, it's amazing. You can tell it's built solidly. It's surprisingly hefty. This thing is loud, the blowback is snappy, and it shoots lasers. I think it's one of KWA's less toyish-feeling GBBs (like their Mac 11, mp9, and mp7). Just be mindful of the one problem...

"I've had this gun since 2016. The gun itself is pretty great. Other than the plastic receiver, it feels worth its price. KWA seem to have a philosophy of trading off steel externals for steel internals. While I much prefer WE-techs philosophy of steel externals over steel internals, this serves to give you a much more reliable gun, as I don't have to worry about the hammer/trigger assembly ever breaking. The bolt does not seem to be steel, but the design is so stable in all my years owning this gun it has not gotten significantly damaged, which is quite impressive. There is one issue regarding the gun itself (which is the most common problem by far with this gun), which is the magazine release getting sheared down over time causing the gun's striker to get pinched, ceasing function of the gun entirely. Luckily, this can be easily fixed with a 5 dollar part from KWAs website, as well as there being a mod you can do to circumvent this. The gun itself is where the positives end. What is not acceptable is the design of the magazines, which feel intentionally designed in a manner that causes them to break. The magazine itself is made of a cheap pot metal. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but many major design flaws contribute to causing these magazines to break after a short while.

1. The magazine follower locking button which locks the follower allowing you to load bbs w/o resistance, wears down after an incredibly short time to the point of being broken, causing the follower to accidentally release at a high speed causing damage to the feed lip and mag receiver.

2. The follower is made of metal, possibly steel, which exacerbates this problem. I have no idea why they wouldn't use plastic followers, the thing literally hammers your magazine over and over again.

3. The follower makes contact at the top of the magazine at a tiny piece of metal that doesn't distribute the mass well and can snap very easily. (Basically the follower doesnt make contact with a flat surface at the feed lip, but rather a tiny flimsy branched off contact point.

The magazines being so fragile completely negates any benefits of the gun itself being so durable, because you will end up having to spend quite a bit on replacement magazines. At least with a WE-tech gun all I have to do to replace parts is buy cheap internal parts. With the problems you will have with this gun you will have to replace entire magazines, which will cost a much more in comparison.

"I got this gun this gun last christmas. However i only got to use it 2 months later because of KWA's "amazing" service.. It came broken and we sent it back, we had problems with their service and the they delayed it for 2 months. Dont ever get a kwa just for their service, but now to the gun. It is a very fun gun but it does have some issues. For one its firing pin Has an extremely weak spring so when i rack the bolt, sometimes it doesnt even shoot. The hammer goes forward but it doesnt propel the bb. This means that before you put a mag in you have to push in the firing pin manually. I know this is not because MY gun is bad because i sent it back because of that issue but it still does that. Then the mag lip breaks because of the extremely low quality fallower lock button.

Pros:
Awesome trigger pull
Cqb fps
No cooldown
Non leaky mags
Beeeeeeefy internals
Amazing hopup

Cons:
Bad firing pin
Terrible service
Bad mag fallower lock
Sometimes mag pressure issues

Overall, its a good gun but it has its problems that eont make it the best buy for its price
