The Advanced locking ring is designed to replace the current KRYTAC O-ring (Normally brass) ring at the end of setting up the hop unit, however, with the original, there is a tendency for a wobbly gap in between the components which would tilt the barrel at an angle.

Lockdown Anything that Moves!
Once the new Stabilizing is installed, it will ensure a snug fit to restrict the motion of the barrel that is inside the hop-up chamber. It will secure the inner barrel and maintain itself steadily locked in the true horizontal position. Even when shots are fired, which is the moment where there is the most stress and vibration at the hop-up, the O-ring will ensure the structure is intact.

This in turn will create a dependable system for the BB to travel down the barrel undisturbed for the most consistent and accurate shots.

"I was skeptical about this product at first. It comes with 5 o rings, probably for different Krytac M4s. I run a Krytac Trident SPR. I was only able to use one. The rest simply wouldnt fit. They replace the larger retention spring that fits into the outer barrel. The stabilizer ring replaces the inner spring. (Save both just in case). For the test, I didnt notice any significant increase in shot groupings at 20 yrds. I stuck the rifle in a vice for both tests just to eliminate user error. What I did notice was a Reduction in Stray Shots. I compared it again, this time to my sons stock Krytac Trident SPR, in a vice. Results were this. If you had maybe 2 to 4 stray shots out of 10, the stabilizer ring put it down to 1, maybe 2. For that, ill give this product 5 stars. It basically works as described, minus the o ring issues, which didnt make a difference. The workmanship quality is excellent. It fits right in the hop up chamber and does significantly reduce any barrel wobble.
