"I've had this pistol since summer 2008 and it is my most trusted airsoft gun (even more so than my Echo 1 M4RIS!). First of, NO THIS WILL NOT TAKE YOUR DUMB CO2 MAGS!!!! Ughhhh I hate Co2 GBBs so repulsive, just get this one over the Co2 and get green gas. Its a mans gun. I have made 9 year olds beg for mercy. The trades are nice if you are into that, Thats why this pistol is &50 bucks more. These trademarks are actually done by Colt FireArms Mfg. Group in Hartford Conneticut. The writing has the Birthdate of the 1911 .45 on it too. I mean if you have children and they're acting up....well Im not going to say anything that can get me into trouble!!!! ;-)

Cons
Some different versions have single barrels, meaning no removable orange tip (I sawed mine off VERY carefully, but if your going to use this to rob a bank get a life and dont use our sport for your own nefarious purposes punk!)
Because of its beautiful all metal design, its a true american machine=aka it uses more gas than the other plastic foriegn guns ex: M9, Overated Glocks, and crappy Desert Eagles.

If you like realism, sexiness, and are above the CO2 guns, get this one with the trades, It will no let you down, I guarantee it.

"This is a beautiful gun. The markings look nice and it has a fantastic weight to it. It shoots hard and cycles flawlessly. My only complaint (and somewhat major one) is the mag that came with it leaked right out of the box, rendering this gun to nothing more than a pretty paperweight for now. Considering these mags are $30 each, I would've expected a higher quality design and not have it leak straight out of the box. I won't be using it for a while due to this issue and how expensive they are. I can't give any opinion on it's functionality overall and long-term durability but from my first impressions the gun itself is very nice.

Cons:
Mag leaked out of the box(I could get off maybe a full mag and then some before it was fully out. If you put in a cartridge and let it sit then it'd probably empty within a few minutes)
Mags are expensive


I can't give a further detailed review of how this gun works in the field and it's reliability because of such a major defect with the mag. The gun itself functions perfectly and doesn't feel cheap at all, though. If you can afford the cost of the magazines and can pick up a few more then you probably have nothing to worry about and will probably enjoy this gun. If the mag had worked then this would be a 5/5 review.

"I have yet to get it chronod, but I ordered the 370 FPS version and I'd guess its right about there (based on my other airsoft rifle). I've been using .2s, however its clear that it prefers .25s for better accuracy.

The only thing I don't like (and its obvious once you get the pistol) is that while you can use the iron sights to aim, you will not be able to follow the BB to correct for its flight path. Its best just to have both eyes open, eyeball it to your target, and then fire off a few shots until you hit.

"This gun is great its so realistic and has a mean kick back. Unfortunately when I bought mine my mag broke. And evike did a great job though replacement mag worked great but after my warranty was up it broke and I now have new parts in it and it's running great. Buy able

"This is a great side arm, it is accurate and powerful. I would give it five stars if not for the hop up unit. mine seems to be loose, and will reset itself to no hopup after every shot. I was able to fix this with a piece of tape, so its no big deal, but just something to be aware of if you buy this pistol. I personally recommend this side arm, it is a classic and the heavy kick from the CO2 makes it incredibly fun to shoot. I can normal get about 5-7 full mags out of a single CO2 cartridge.

"My first one was quite the lemon, when fired the mag would lose all pressure, and the slide would stick halfway. Got it replaced under warranty, and the new one works just fine.

"All I can say is, wow! This gun is absolutely superb and if you are a fan of WWII, or even just the good old M1911, this is for you. With it's full metal construction it has a nice hefty weight and feel. The blow back is awesome and one of the best I've seen with airsoft pistols. My one gripe is that the mags can be a little tough to load up with BBs but maybe it's just my lack of sharp fingernails. But that alone shouldn't be a reason to pick this baby up! The CO2 is easy to install as well. Overall an amazing piece to own and I'm glad I made the purchase.
