"I've had this gun since early 2012, so for 5 years now I've had this gun and I've pnly greased it once and cleaned it twice. Mostly because it was my first pistol and didn't put as much care as i do with my rifle, after 3 broken mags, missing orange tip, scratches, dents in slide and more. This gun has survived being shot with mud, dirt, dust, rust, and water filled. This gun can do all you want it to do and more. It is still as satisfiying to rack the slide when i first got as i still do today. This gun was made to last, and not only that stay as strong and well built as the day it was created. I highly recommend for those who are new to airsoft as for how simple it is, and those who have been playing for many years to also use it. it has saved me many times against many nooband pro players, i can tell countless storries on how many times i have had that one last bb save me from an enemy player. 10/10 would buy more.

"Though this is the only gbb pistol I have owned, I can say that it shoots very consistently. The standard magazine slides in and out very easily, but doesn't wobble at all when in the gun. The reason I chose this over the 380 fps version is that it had just slightly better reviews. I mean, look around. Not many people arn't satisfied with this gun. It's been about 3 months and still shooting great. It's great that I can disassemble it as well.
The only problem I've had is the extended magazine I also purchased. And yes, I did get the one exactly for this model. But it is really hard to pull in and out of the gun. I've found it not function as well, but on rare occurrences. Overall I would definently recommend this gun, especially for the price!

"I bought this pistol brand new at the Gander Mountain that I work at, and I absolutely love to shoot it and carry it in my airsoft wars. The weight is accurate to the actual 1911 pistols that I have shown customers while at work. One thing that I would strongly recommend purchasing is a hard shell holster, the one I use is a FOBUS 1911 holster.
One problem that I have is the allen key that you need to tighten the CO2 cartridge in is hard to keep a good grip on.

"I've owned my kjw 1911 government for about a year and it has worked beautifully. My favorite part is that I can put real attachments on it like the world war 2 style shoulder stock/gun case, hogue rosewood hand grips with fingergrooves, a couple of airsoft kjw extended mags, and a old compensator. All of that together basically turns it in to a carbine. But to sum it all up I adore this gun and it's a perfect sidearm for my King arms chrome thompson or to use alone with the fps it has. I also recommend this over any of the other 1911s for a world war 2 load out.

"I've had this for a few months and I have to say it is the most reliable gun I own. I've brought it to OPs with me where I've basically filled the insides with sand and it continued to perform flawlessly. All I had to do was re oil it and give it a quick wipe down. Indoors, this pistol has almost all the range you'll need with .3g BBs. I almost exclusively use it for CQB because of how effective it is. It kicks hard, hits harder, and gets about 4 mags per co2 cartridge. You will not regret this purchase.

It looks and functions much like the real thing, and is overall amazing and very fun to shoot.

"I've had this pistol for going on two years now and I LOVE IT. It has a satisfying weight to it and the controls are pretty comfortable. I can operate every feature both wearing and not wearing gloves. It has a very crisp blowback action that kicks about as much as a real steel .22lr handgun, which is very nice for an airsoft gun. I also bought two additional magazines and they work just as well as the one that the gun came with. If I don't do a lot of rapid shooting I can get 4+ 17rd magazines off before the CO2 cartridge runs out as long as I give the mag roughly 30 seconds of warming up in my hand after reloading it each time. If I shoot quickly, it easily holds enough gas for 2-3+ full loads. Speaking of capacity, I think that 17 rounds is just about right for a sidearm. When you compare it to the real 1911's capacity of only 7 rounds there really is a big difference. Sadly extra mags are a bit costly, but they are gas mags after all. I like that this gun is styled after the M1911A1 that the U.S. used in WWII up until the 80's, and the Colt trademarks make it great for themed matches of that time period. I have however noticed that the finish on the metal is a bit thin and is easily prone to scratching as I learned when using my first holster, a plastic one. It left some rubbing marks on the slide but this is purely cosmetic. That may still be a con for some, though. Personally, I think that the wearing adds character to the weapon. I have not tried to remove the orange tip and I do not plan to do so. I have not chrono'ed this gun but I did notice that while playing in an outdoor match it was not able to penetrate through thick brush and hit a target about 15 yards away, but shooting at a man-sized target without cover I can easily hit my mark from that distance. Realistically speaking, that's pretty much all you're probably going to be using a sidearm for anyway. The iron sights are not bad for an airsoft gun, but not the greatest at distance either, however when firing rapidly and watching the path of your bb's it looks like you're shooting a laser out of your gun. As an added bonus, this gun even field strips pretty realistically. I don't think I will ever be replacing this gun as my main sidearm, but if it ever broke for some odd reason I would buy another in a heartbeat. Overall I believe that this is a fantastic airsoft gun and it is one of if not THE BEST of the airsoft 1911's on the market. If you are looking for a durable, reliable sidearm that could also be used for themed matches or re-enactments, look no further.

-Feels very nice in the hand, pleasant weight and ease of use
-Very nice, hard kick for an airsoft gun
-CO2 lasts a decent amount of time, especially when not shooting rapidly
-Decent capacity
-Classic design with COLT TRADEMARKS good for themed matches/re-enacting
-Finish scratches easily and gives a weathered look (may not be a pro)
-Reasonably accurate
-Very reliable
-Field stripping is realistic

-Additional magazines are expensive.
-Finish scratches easily and gives a weathered look (may not be a con)
-Will not punch through thick cover but it's an airsoft gun for crying out loud
-Doesn't shoot .45 ACP

In my humble opinion the pros certainly outweigh the cons, so do yourself a favor and get your hands on one of these bad boys.

"I read the other reviews before I naught the gun I just got it in today
And I'm not sure if they got a bad one or what but mines works great!!!!!
No problems and even naught the high cap mag

Pros
High fps out the box use .25-.30 bbs to use on low fps limit fields
Very well balanced gun
Great feel
Very hard kick it feels great not like any other gbb/co2 gun I ever shot
$75!!!!
Barrel is threaded

Cons
Mag release is very hard to press
Orange tip it can come out took me like an hour to get it out
Judging by the other reviews you might get a bad/malfunction 1911 if you do just have it replaced

"While this gun was in my possession, I loved every second of it. I used it in one game before it fell out of my holster and was stolen right from under me.

Pros:
Well built
Great kick
Loud
Super realistic

Cons:
Green gas mag it came with had little to no power and could only get out maybe half a mag
So good that people want to snatch it from you.

I plan on getting a replacement soon, however I'm holding out hope that it goes back on sale ;) (hint hint evike pls)

"This is my favorite airsoft gun of all time, it really does justice to it's real life WW2 counterpart. It has a beautiful finish, which gets a nice battle hardened look after lots of use. Since it is CO2, it requires a lot of lubricant to keep it working properly without breaking. Make sure before buying this that you have good knowledge of where to lubricate CO2 guns, not lubricating it properly will shorten it's life span significantly. It has pretty good kick, for an airsoft gun. The way the gun handles is very close to a real gun, having to rack the slide upon inserting a magazine, combined with the kick makes it a real joy to fire. I don't have a chronograph, so in terms of FPS all I can say is that it is not really felt at all if wearing jeans. Accuracy is pretty good for a handgun, but it isn't pinpoint like non-blowback co2 guns. But from my point of view, that adds to the realism. Hop-up is rather easy to adjust, but requires field stripping to do. I have not had a chance to use it in a game, but I'm quite sure it would be able to challenge other handguns quite well.

Heres a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:
-Very Realistic
-Beautiful finish that gets nice wear after a lot of use.
-Good kick for an airsoft gun
-Low enough FPS to get into most fields
Cons:
-Requires a lot of care, making it not so good for newer airsofters.

"This is overall a great pistol. I bought it and for about a month it worked absolutely fantastic. Then, the piston cracked and wouldn't move back and forth properly. Luckily, my warranty was till good and I got a brand new one without having to pay for anything. Since then, the gun has been flawless. If you buy it make sure it is always clean and oiled because the C02 will not have any silicon oil in it.
