Gel Ball Blasters at Evike.com

Airsoft was created as a safe alternative to hobby shooting, especially for players who want to challenge each other in person-to-person skirmishes. Airsoft BBs are light and small enough to use against your friends in the arena and on the battlefield, but did you know there's an even safer, softer option for at-home games?

How Do Gel Blasters Work?

Gel blasters fire soft, water-absorbent gel balls and include a hopper or magazine for ammo, a gearbox with motor, gears, spring, and piston, a cylinder for air compression, a barrel for propulsion, and a battery for electric models. There are three main types of gel blasters:

  • Electric: Battery-powered with automatic cycling via motor and gearbox; most common for high fire rates.
  • Spring-powered: Manual cocking per shot; simpler and no battery needed.
  • Gas/CO2: Use compressed gas for propulsion; higher power but require refills.

Firing Gel Blasters

The ammo for gel blaster guns comes dry and dehydrated, and are biodegradable. Simply soak the small beads in water and, soon enough, they'll moisten and expand to the proper size for a gel ball blaster. Then, you can load them up and start shooting.

Gel Blasters Versus Airsoft Guns

Like Airsoft guns, some gel ball blasters replicate real firearms down to the stocks, triggers, magazines, and more. The difference? They aren't quite as powerful as Airsoft guns, and they generally max out around 300 Feet Per Second (FPS) of muzzle velocity. This low speed, combined with the soft rounds, means you can fire your gel blaster at friends and foes alike without worrying about anyone getting hit too hard.

Gel Blaster Safety Precautions

You should still wear eye protection with gel blasters, but with this basic safety precaution, you can start a shootout basically anywhere, anytime. Since gel projectiles are soft and water-based, you can fire them off in your backyard, a nearby field, or wherever else you have permission to shoot.

Discover Another Way to Get in the Game

Gel balls are extremely cost-effective, meaning you can blast thousands in a single match without worrying about breaking the bank. They also offer essential training for Close Quarters Battles (CQB), as they fire similarly to Airsoft BBs, but max out around 50 feet of range.

Take summer water gun shootouts to the next level, train for the Airsoft arena, or just enjoy painless, guilt-free shooting in the comfort of your own yard. Browse Evike.com for gel blasters of all styles, from pistols to rifles, miniguns, and more.
