"Just got this beauty yesterday. I put maybe 200 rounds .02 through it and the chrono was hot, started at 417 and down to 361 that is with 28 shots after the first 5 down range the FPS went down and stayed around 365 which is fine for a guy like me that just does target shotting. Before my pros and cons some notes. 1- The outer barrel was loose and the alien key under the flash hider was loose needed some lock tight. 2- Make sure the bolt is pulled back before you insert a magazine, that takes some practice to get seated and locked and be sure the switch in the back of the mag is down or it won't fire. 3- When you take it down make sure the bolt is back when you seat the trigger group and do not force it. The orange tip comes off easy with boiling water but get the retaining pin out first which is hard I have to rethread the barrel, I got my suppressor and or flash hider on but was hard.
Pros
1- Heavey like the real G3A3
2- Loud (LOVE IT) like the real one too as I saw in video's never shot one.
3- FPS is great for me and get 3 mags on a fill
4- Before my I zoned my red/ green dot reflex optic using iron sites groupings were tight actually I did not need the reflex the iron sight was great, but I like the look with the flip magnifier.
5- Hop is easy to get at and stiff will not move after firing.
6- Recoil was fantastic for a GBBR, I don't think it is more than my We Tech M14, but the loudness makes it feel more.
7- Take down is so easy to clean and maintain.
8- Little to no wobbling on the stock or hand guard. Build is really good
Cons
1- You have to be careful reseating the lower when you push back into the upper some parts on the trigger group do not alien perfect.
2- Magazines a bit hard to seat have to practice it to get it right first time.
3- The switch in the back of the magazine is a pain if you do not push it down before you insert the mag it will not fire, I thought I had a bad rifle at first.
4- The flash hider moves; they put an alien key under to hold but was loose had to take out and lock tight it.
5- The outer barrel holds together with the flash hider, but where it connects to the rifle was loose had to tighten it.
6- The trigger parts are not made out of real steel which will break but they sell parts here when they come in stock, I will be replacing them as I did on my We Tech M14, but this is a We Tech thing always
7- This is just me I guess, I see all the Umarex H&K license trademarks in the picture here on the trigger group which We Tech has and in the description of the G3A3 here it says "High strength stamped steel receiver for realistic weight and durability w/ authentic markings" and the only authentic markings on mine is the safety switch "S/E/F". I read up on it, and it is common for We Tech not to put it on, so they don't have to pay Umarex a fee. It's just something I would have liked to see on the trigger.
Aside from these petty cons I mentioned this is a great weapon and really allot of fun to shot. If you are into GBBR's and or a collector, then this is for you or a gamer because it is accurate get this rifle you will not be disappointed. I would give it a 9 out of 10 if I could

"One year later review.
Gotta say favorite airsoft gun of all time.
Pros
1 recoil is crazy for an airsoft gun. I own a real steel century arms clone. This does a good job replicating the recoil impulse feel if it was about 50% lighter. Kinda has that roller delayed feel even tho the airsoft one is not.
2 accuracy and range out the box are very competitive haven't felt it necessary to swap from stock barrel or bucking.
3 external fit and finish of this beast is great 9/10
4 the sound when fired has to be the stuff of rental kids nightmares I've shot 22lr rifles that were quieter. Can't think of any other gbbr as loud.
5 very simple to maintain.easy field stripping and cleaning.
6 hk slapped for over a year no issues
Cons
1 Stock hammer and trigger components are weak
2 Original bolt cracked and needed a full replacement likely my fault tho running a NPAs and red gas in the cold.
3 Stock, the semi auto and full auto are a little sluggish ik the g3 isn't a fast shooter but out the box it's just a little teeny bit lethargic when trying to get fast semi shots off. (Get a Poseidon super recoil spring kit ,the spring in the kit is useless for the g3 but the spacer in the kit will make it a fair bit snappier in semi auto)
4 front sight/barrel wiggle minor but present.
5rear sight is gray and looks out of place .... Y do this WE...
6 stock fps is hot get an npas
Overall highly recommend getting one while you can.
Ps z parts steel trigger kit, Poseidon super recoil spring kit and Ra tech NPAs arent necessary but do help alot

"Though it has a big price tag, for any G3 fan it is very worth it.
Sound, fps, ergonomics, furniture, and build quality are all fan freakin-tastic
Comes with a -14 threaded barrel too and kicks so hard it broke the switch on one of my tracer units!

"Been a long time coming finally got it. Cant say enough so ill say little. Great pew pew everything id hoped itd be in accuracy range and kick. Wish the front sight was more secure but if your using iron sights on this and not an optic your wasteing all the main potential this hunk has anyway. Oh and its not quite very loud so embrace the loud.

"Rifle is pretty amazing. Construction is phenomenal, receiver is stamped steel and polymer furniture is solid. I was going to upgrade it, but the stock performance is so good I decided not to bother. Have fielded it several times with no issues so far

"I have owned this rifle for over a year and have had several MILSIMs and a lot more recreation games under the belt with it. I have learned a lot about the great things and quirks about the rifle and I would like to pass this on with the community.
The construction of the rifle is good, but it’s not as good as other brands. LCT and VFC beat it. The stock wobbles, but barely. If you’re a knit-picker, you’ll notice it. However, it’s not very prominent. A simple strip of electrical tape on the top of the receiver and slide the stock over it. Stock wobble gone.
Polymer furniture is great. It’s not the same as the real HK91, but it’s still nice to the touch. Color is similar to the Alpine green version, which isn’t the darker Bundeswehr version like the VFC.
WE attempted to copy the H&K semi gloss paint, which looks decently close…but drop the ball on the gray painted parts. The bolt is painted in the infamous WE sparkly gray paint, which I despise, but it doesn’t look terrible at a distance.
Performance:
Out of the box, it’s the typical WE performance. Trash. It’s better than other WE models, but it’s consistency isn’t very good. Upgrade it. I use the 410mm Orga widebore barrel and a 70* Poseidon Air Cushion bucking. 230ft range, 10/10 shots on a torso target, confirmed. It shoots really hot out of the box. The widebore brings it down to 1.55J on a .4g BB with propane. Use at least a .3g or higher. I prefer .4g Madbull BBs in my G3 for great accuracy.
Quirks:
Your hammer will eventually snap. Mileage will vary, but it will happen. WE borrowed from their MP5 the trigger pack. The G3’s bolt is larger with more travel so the hammer takes more abuse. The hammer will last a few thousand rounds, but it will fail. I haven’t had another failure with the other parts. Order a Z-parts steel hammer. It won’t cause damage to the other metal parts in the gun due to the way they interact with each other.
Change out the 17mmx2mm o-ring on the nozzle for a nicer quality one and use silicone GREASE in the bolt. You’ll get a perfect airseal for great recoil blowback and shot-to-shot consistency. Using oil in the bolt will cause it to be shot into the hop chamber/barrel. The gas volume coming out is a lot.
Mag efficiency is poor. It gets about 40 rounds before being empty, even after purging in 50*F weather and about 60 max in 70*F weather on propane. This doesn’t bother me because I always top it off when I reload the mag. Don’t fully gas the mag up. When you hear it about to be full of gas, stop. That little “breathing room” in the mag helps with the proper pressure in the mag for better consistency.
I added duct tape in the magwell. It’s tight at first, but it will break in. The mags will eventually wobble, which kills the gas seal from the mag to nozzle, causing terrible consistency. The duct tape mod will hold up.
I added two layers of Teflon tape around the barrel, under the part of the hop chamber that screws into the outer barrel. There is slight wobble between the chamber and inner barrel. This helps to keep it solid and more accurate.
Load the mags using a speedloader with a “sniper magazine” tip on it. Load at a 45* angle for the easiest loading. Don’t load from the top, it will eventually split the feedlips and break them. Loading from the front is best because the BB exits that way and the feedlips are designed for this. When you fully load the mag, lock the charging handle back first and then insert the mag. It has a hard time locking in place when fully loaded and it could eventually break the nozzle.
Conclusion:
It’s a great gun. I’ve only purchased three upgrades for it to be a true marksman rifle: barrel, bucking and nozzle o-ring. The ladder wasn’t necessary, but did help. You’ll need to use a widebore barrel or do the DIY NPAS mod to drop the FPS. The DIY NPAS works great in the gun as well.
Have fun and dress it up. The G3 is sexy in any configuration!

"Please read before purchasing this gun has things that I would like to let you know about before you spend your money
I bought this gun about 2 years ago because I wanted something that feels nice looks nice but that there are not that many of "this will come to bite you in the ass later" I pressed the buy button and when it got to my door I was not disappointed this gun is solid and heavy but in a good way its a beast of a rifle
after a round of backyard plinking I took it to my local field and this thing reaches out at people I was using .30 and you need to be using heavier bbs .32 at the least i started using .36 but the heavier the better this thing is accurate for what it was with a hop that was over hopping .30 to the moon I could still make 200 foot shots with the iorn sights which is awesome this gun is awesome to shoot and every time i look at it i feel the need to HK slap it
now here are the down sides to this rifle
1. mags are expensive but not a con of the gun gbb are always more but damn 75 a mag hurts the soul and the wallet
2. parts are not in the us
I pulled a badabing and broke my hammer, if you insert the bolt while the hammer is up for disassembly say good by hammer it will break shortly after that. but my troubles came while looking for parts. There is not a person in the us as of making this review that carries parts for this thing period none at all after hours of searching the closes that i could find for the hammer was in Germany from a company called bengati and that was going to cost upwards of 50 usd
its outrageous for a company to sell a gun but not support that gun I now have to order the parts overseas from Kyairsoft and that takes ages but there cheap
overall I love the gun but the things that piss me off is a 700 dollar gun being out of action for 3 months because someone wasn't in there right mind to carry parts for said gun this is a failure on evike to support this gun and as a consumer have to deal with it

"This is a good rifle. Good and solid, excellent recoil. However, it does have some gotchas in it. i have the 11th one shipped into the US.
1. the body will flex very quickly and parts will go out of alignment and start to wiggle. these are areas such as the rear stock and the mag well. These can easily be fixed and tightened up with a couple whacks of a hammer.
2. the hopup arm has a little nub that fits into the rotary hop adjuster. If this breaks off, and mine did, you will have 2 choices buy another hopup arm (have to buy from hong kong currently) or make your own out of much better material (which I did).
3. Maple leaf buckings do not work well in this gun stock. the omega nub will not penetrate deep enough into the hop window with the stock arm. I went with a REAPS Devil and it will lift .45 gram bbs just fine with a bic pen nub mod.
4. a general claw mount will NOT work on this gun. the UTG claw scope mount is the only one I have found that works.
Upgrades available at current are a poseidon air cushion barrell, the poseidon rocket valve and the REAPs devil bucking. Those are the only upgrades available at current
