"Unfortunately haven't been able to use it yet but just racking the slide and practicing mag changes is too much fun. The feel of this pistol is superb in comparison to the original CZ75. If you've seen the Hickok45 of the real firearm he notes the way the shadow 2 fits in the hand a ton. He's 1000% right. If there are any cons they are subjective and personally I'd like a black tip cover to come with it but that's all I can think of. I'd highly recommend this platform to anyone looking for a high quality gbb pistol.

"Extremely realistic, and very heavy in the hand. Great grip, 1911 styled form fitting. Nice clicky hammer action. Very solid trigger. Painted threaded tip with optional orange protector. Aluminum grip is from the CZ factory. I haven't shot it yet but according to numerous reviews it's very accurate with a good kick. I give it 5/5.

"This pistol is a real shooter. First thing you will undoubtedly notice is the weight. It has some serious heft. If you plan on holstering it make sure you use a quality one. Fiber optic front sight is nice, though I was hoping it would pop a bit more. The single action trigger pull is a little different feeling than a traditional single action only trigger, but it is SMOOTH, and the reset is short and very noticable. Accuracy with .28g Elite Force and Valken Accelerate has been excellent. The grip angle along with the undercuts and the beaver tail combine to make it point very naturally. It just feels right. Overall I am very happy with this pistol. Would definitely reccomend.

"I’m surprised how good this thing is, I checked it to see what’s steel, the whole trigger grouping parts are steel, recoil spring, take down slide lever is steel and the part that that lever goes into is reinforced with a little bit of steel all the steel parts in it are super solid!!!!! If you wanted to do this to a hicapa that you bought it would be over a hundred dollars so you will have spent $150-180 for the gun already plus the extra $100+ And if you didn’t want those parts to be silver and unpainted it would be close to $200+

If your thinking about buying it you should!!! It’s more than worth it I have nothing bad to say and this gun was not even in my top 7 favorites so I’m not a big fan but reliability and accuracy wise I am.

"Been using it for four months now; it's the GREATEST pistol for USPSA, IPSC, and IDPA training.

"Fantastic pistol. Solid build. Be carful of the double action feature due to the mechanism for it being a weak point. Now just need an extended mag released for it.

"So I was eyeing this gun for awhile but I had a preorder for the STI DVC 3Gun so I was waiting on that for my first pistol. Then came memorial day sale and this beauty actually arrived in stock and at a killer price. I had to jump on it and it's an absolute dream come true. My very first airsoft pistol.

The feel of the gun in phenomenal. I personally looove the weight of the gun. Racking the slide is sublime. Even releasing the mag feels fantastic. I like the sights and found it really easy and natural to acquire targets.

Firing the gun was spectacular. The feel of the kick is strong and thanks to the design of the gun it's basically a laser beam at the ranges I could use it at (small indoor field).

The only issue I'm having with the weapon at the moment is that I have an Acetech Lighter S tracer unit and it is the same threading size but it just won't go on further then the first thread. The threads are painted orange as well as the thread protector. The thread protector goes on smoothly. The Acetech Lighter S unit goes on perfectly on my Ronin Recon ML. I haven't been able to remove the orange paint from the thread protector or threads on the gun but I think it may be the issue.

Pros:
EZ take down.

It's CO2 definite plus.
Very accurate
Feels like CZ
Cons:

"Feels absolutely amazing, my only complaint is that the hop up dosnt do exactly what I want, half of the bbs will go down at about 100ft and the other half will curve up and go sharply, ill be getting a tighter barrel and new bucking to help this. I think it was just an error from factory.

"This gun is made very well. the quality and finish is very good. The downside is the mag and mag release is not for a left handed person like I am. The mag release pinches your hand if you are holding the gun and insert a mag. I took the extra piece thats held in with a screw off.
The mag release is not able to be switched to the other side unfortunately.
Other than that its a cool gun. Please think of left handers for future guns.

"The too long didn't read is "Buy a shadow 1"

I had several issues with this gun. I have owned 2 Shadow SP01s, as well as the ASG CZ-75B. I'll put the issues in a list:

-The Shadow 2 barrel would stick inside the slide, cause it to fail to open or close during shooting, often it would fail to fully go into battery. Luckily I had SP01 barrel laying around, which fit nicely.

-The hop up was pretty inconsistent. I think this might be a lemon as my other CZs do not have this issue and the hop up is generally the same design.

-The Magazine release is really great, or rather was. While it is extended and lets you customize the direction, making it quite nice to change mags, its also made of pot metal. Mine broke after a couple months. Again i was able to replace it with a SP01 mag release.

-The front strap and back strap have aggressive textures, but these textures are bumped out and make the grip overall larger, rather than just adding texture to the great shape and feel of the standard Shadow 1 SP01. Combine this with the very thin and flat grip panels, and you have this square boxy feel like a FN 5.7 or a Glock in a larger caliber like .40 or .45. One of the major selling points of CZs is how nice the grip is, so this is just weird. Again, I'm lucky in that I have grip panels laying around to alleviate this, but unfortunately the grip is still too fat lengthwise due to the front strap and back strap. If you have really big hands, it shouldn't be much of a concern.

-The safety is perhaps the worse I have ever seen on a pistol. It is somehow worse than even the original 1975 design. Its a small lever that is basically completely flat. It has light texturing, but disengaging it or reengaging it under stress is not a consistent task. Compared to the large and well designed Shadow 1 safety, its awful. With the SP01, its hard NOT to disengage the safety as it is so well shaped. I find this so odd as the Shadow 2 is a specifically design competition pistol, where it will be in single action more often than a combat pistol. Wouldn't this make the safety MORE needed, not less?

-While it can take SOME Shadow 1 and other CZ-75 parts, such as the barrel, grip panels, and magazine release, it cannot take the slide release. This is because the frame just below the slide is wider than the SP01 to add weight. This means the slide release is wider through the frame and not compatible. This is a shame because the slide release is the greatest weakness in ALL ASG CZ's.

-The pistol is very heavy and this is no issue when holding it, but it can throw your belt out of balance if you don't have a proper holster. Problem is that it will not fit in any CZ-75 holster, again because it's too wide. You will have to buy a separate one, or run a blackhawk omnivore (which is what I run).

OK here are the pros:
-It looks cool
-It takes Shadow 1 Mags.
-Mag release (when not broken) and sights are an improvement over previous.
-Slide serrations are SUPER aggro.
-Nice trigger, but the same as the SP01. It does come with an overtravel screw though.
-It's reasonably accurate, but practically no more so than the SP01.
-I run it with 2 recoil springs, so basically 200 percent spring power and it runs without fail. This may be a con though, as with only one it is somewhat weak.
-Threaded barrel (assuming your barrel doesn't jam the gun like mine. )

"Gun has great weight and recoil. Shoots accurately. Only issues I’m experiencing are:

1. Threads seem to be a little big for most supressors/tracer units. I have the xcortech XT301, XT501mk2, acetech lighter-s, and lighter-bt, and the only tracer that fits is the XT501! Also none of my thread protectors will go past the first thread. Only thread protector that works is obviously the orange one it comes with. I thought it was because of the thick orange paint they used, so I was able to strip the paint with aircraft aluminum paint stripper and wire brush...but that didn’t fix anything...

2. Slide catch sometimes doesn’t lock back after the last bb is shot. Tested on both green gas and CO2 mags. I sometimes have to shake the gun a bit and fire it again for the slide to lock back. I know this was an issue with sp-01, was hoping it was fixed for this one.

3. Also noticed a few misfeeds and bbs getting stuck. Took apart the gun and tried to get the inner barrel/hop-up assembly out of the outer barrel, but there is a locking pin that is a pain to remove.... it says it’s compatible with tm hop-ups, so I threw in a 70d maple leaf bucking, and noticed more stuck bb’s. Will most likely put the stock one back in.

Other than those issues, the gun isn’t bad for ipsc training when it doesn't jam... cqb, May be a bit heavy for most and the slide lock issue presents a problem during cqb matches I would assume...

I did order another outer barrel assembly, which is supposedly an “upgrade” from the stock to see if this would rectify some of the issues I mentioned above, but only time will tell...
