Open Box Item - A Mystery Airsoft Gun with value over $430

"I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but I tend to read the existing ones on these open box pages out of curiosity and so I figured I’d contribute. I’ve spent thousands over the years with evike, and am almost never disappointed. So so many BOA purchases, several open box purchases. I’ve pulled some rather crazy awesome items, some rare stuff, and some that I wasn’t enthused about. That’s the point of the mystery!!! I love the thrill of waiting for it to arrive and them BAM what’s in the box!!! I’ve sold some, kept and used some, hung some in a wall (rare items), and also used some as trades which works out great!! My last purchase of this exact box (value over $430) I pulled a gas DSR-10. Brand new 100%. Funny enough I already had one, so it was as outstanding trade leverage!!!! I’d recommend these boxes to anyone who is willing to take a bit of a gamble and loves the thrill!!

I was expecting an M4 or something that was scratched up/beat up like some other folks said. Instead, I ended up getting a LCT G3?? Was not expecting it, and the only thing i've found is it must have been a display because the magazine is well worn out but nothing else seems to have been used. Would 100% buy this again.

I’m usually skeptical of mystery boxes, but this one delivered. For $280 I pulled a Krytac War Sport LVOA (long version) — a gun that retails for roughly $400–$500 new — and honestly, I’m thrilled.

Unboxing & condition
The rifle looked factory-fresh. There was zero evidence of tools or prior assembly — clean screws, unmarked pins, pristine finish — so I’m confident it came straight from the factory and wasn’t a reworked return. That peace-of-mind is worth a lot when you’re rolling the dice on a mystery box.

What I liked

Excellent value: paid $280 and got a long-body Krytac that normally sells for several hundred more.

Cosmetic and mechanical condition looked brand new — no scratches, no tool marks.

Fits my build preferences (long version feels more like a true rifle platform).

As a one-time gamble, it paid off; I’d absolutely buy another mystery box.


Reality check (because people online like to complain loudly)
I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews about these boxes. Don’t let the loudest voices scare you off — a few bad pulls don’t mean the whole thing’s a scam. Mystery boxes are gambling by design: sometimes you win, sometimes you get something else. My experience was a win, and the obvious factory condition tells me this wasn’t some hastily reassembled return.

Current status
I still need the battery to run it, so performance testing is pending — but cosmetically and mechanically it’s exactly what I hoped for. Once I power it up and put a few mags through it, I’ll update with field impressions. For now, the deal, the condition, and the peace-of-mind about assembly make this a thumbs-up.

Final verdict
If you’re comfortable with the gamble and want a shot at a high-value outcome, the $280 Evike mystery box is absolutely worth it. I’d do it again — and I’d tell friends to stop listening to the doomscrollers who act like every mystery box is a tragedy.

"Received a new in box Krytac P90 from this mystery box. It seems to be a very common pull given the other reviews and from anecdotes I’ve heard from other players. Just about everyone I know who has a Krytac P90 got it from this box. It makes for great value, though I already had a Krytac P90 that I was hoping to get rid of. Now I have two I need to find out how to sell off, but I can make a profit off it thanks to this mystery box. Highly rated for the value margins alone, but I can’t help but wonder what the pull rates would have been like without the P90 in the mix.

"I got the fn herstal krytac p90 and it appears to be brand new. This gun is worth about 450$ or so. So I'm quite happy about that and I've been wanting a p90 so this is perfect. Just remember that none of this stuff ever comes with a battery so you gotta go and buy that or hope you got one to fit in here. I don't know if I would buy this again since I've got what I want now, but this is a great gift or if you're new and want something to surprise you.

"They did not disappoint one bit. This was my first ever mystery box of any sort! I bought the open box deal thinking it would have some cosmetic damage or something, no big deal, but the AEG is PERFECT. I received the Strike Industries Sentinel with the 8.5inch barrel and gridlock handguard, which looks and feels amazing! The orange tip was a little difficult to deal with due to the gorgeous sick nasty handguard it came with, but well worth it once the blast shield that it came with was installed. Evike got me, I am hooked!

"I received a Krytac P90 a couple weeks ago and opening the package I noticed absolutely no defects or scratches. I even received it in original packaging and everything was included. Functions fantastic! For $280 this was a fantastic deal on a $450 gun that if it wasn't advertised as open box I would never know and think it was directly off the shelf. And it was a fantastic surprise as I was hoping for a shorter CQB gun and I couldn't have gotten a better one to fill that roll.
