"+++I got my MP7 on another website, but I'm writing my review here.+++

** THE THREADS ARE 12mm (CW or ), NOT 14MM (CCW or -)!!!

PRESENTATION & UNBOXING:
The gun comes in your typical Umarex/ Elite Force H&K Licensed box; black box with red stripes and the words "NO COMPROMISE" in capital letters. Upon opening the box you'll notice an operator's manual and some paperwork. After setting that aside you'll be greeted with an MP7 that's wrapped in a plastic bag and of course its respective 40 round magazine, nothing too special unless it's your first GBB airsoft gun.

OVERVIEW:
The MP7 is one of those "Oh I've seen this in this movie/ TV-show/ video game" type of firearm. Admittingly I bought this gun a while after I saw the actors in the TV-Show series "SEAL Team" using this firearm and it is to this day my favorite go to weapon for small spaces. Like the real gun the representation of this airsoft gun is indeed a 1:1 replica of the MP7 series (GEN2; more on that later) by VFC. It's a great option for those who seek the ability to shoot close-quarters to mid-range while maintaining a low profile. The gun is both left and right hand user friendly; ambidextrous. The placement of all the fire controls (safety selector switch, bolt release, magazine release, and the charging handle) are fairly easy to manipulate given that your hands are big enough to reach certain controls , but for people with smaller hands it may take some minimal practice to get used to it. Something that I had to personally get used to was releasing the magazine, due to how the magazine release mechanism operates and my personal preference I have to rotate my hand around the grip and use my trigger finger to release the magazine. Additionally something that I also had to get used to is how the charging handle unlocks, unlike your typical M4 charging handle where you have to pull a latch mechanism to unlock the charging handle, the MP7 requires you to do an interesting, sort of, pinching motion. Moving on to the bolt release it is one of the most conveniently placed controls and design by H&K. Assuming safety precautions are taken seriously and treating it like a real firearm, the shooter would typically place their firing hand's trigger finger on the side of the receiver, the bolt release is literally right there where you'd want it for quick manipulation, and of course as a reminder that it is an ambidextrous gun you can also use your non-firing hand to manipulate the bolt release on the other side of the gun. Last but not least the barrel, yes the barrel, it's metal! For those who have a tracer unit, power-up suppressor barrel from Angry Gun or have a mock suppressor that is 12mm Clockwise (CW or ) you are in luck because unlike the older version or generation where the outer barrel was made of plastic, the GEN2's are metal, so all you have to do is twist it off**. I had no issues with mine and it came off quite easily.

PERFORMANCE:
The gun shoots out of the box (FPS) around the high 300's to low 400's. As you can tell it isn't a CQB/C airsoft gun despite its size and intention however, there is a Low FPS bolt out there for those who intend to use this out in the field where it needs to be set lower. I've heard that some may have an NPAS where you can adjust the flow of the gas to reduce the FPS, but I have yet to take a look at this feature on mine. The hop up is fairly easy to adjust, on the real weapon it is known as the gas adjustment up front right above the barrel, however this is airsoft so that removable tool is actually the hop-up. It can be removed to reveal itself to look like some sort of tool, but I have yet to find what it is for other than it to key in to the slot in the hop-up chamber. Further more the hop up it is quite sensitive and once you dial it in you wont have to for a while.

SETUP:
My gun is completely stock, so the way that I run this gun is with an aftermarket power-up mock suppressor by Angry Gun, a replica AN/ PEQ-15, replica M300 Surefire white light, Magpul MOE RVG foregrip, and a replica Aimpoint T2 on a riser with the stock iron sights.

PROS & CONS:
+ 1:1 scale Light weight replica
+ VFC quality
+ Kick is definitely there
+ Navy version has the tri-rail system with rails installed/ included
+ Hop-up is sensitive and allowing precision zeroing
+ Ambidextrous
+ Unique operation and experience with firing controls
+ 6 sling points 2 forward, 2 rear of the main receiver, and 2 on the butt stock

- Magazine prices constantly increase
- Unnoticeable unless seen in slow motion, but sometimes the bolt can be sticky and can create a slight "lag" in cycling
- Trigger is a little squishy, but it works and has a tactile sear reset
- Little to none aftermarket support
- Other than field stripping the bolt, spring, stock and the 2 pins the gun's internals are relatively complicated with many springs and bearings
- Sling points are small but HK clips will do

Overall great gun, awesome performance, and a good solid kick with each trigger pull!

"So i just got my VFC gen 2 MP7 today. I still have some more testing to do with it but so far it is pretty solid. Straight out if the box is shoots at like 420 FPS with 0.2s, but do not worry it comes with a NPAS built in. You will need a bright light and a 1.5mm allen key to adjust it. In my experience the NPAS was at full power straight out of the box. I have it at about half power now. Which shoots at about 320 FPS

"I bought this local and was excited to take it a game, but when it was chrono'd it failed.

Apparently it thinks it's a sniper rifle as it was shooting at 2.2 Joules even after telling the staff that the gun was brand new, mags were brand new and was fully loaded with fresh green gas. Like it's not going to be consistent as the mag starts to lose gas, but regardless it soured my mood and the gun just sat at my station.

I wasn't even planning on doing anything to the internals and since it's been shot I can't get a refund which means I'm stuck with either getting a low powered bolt which I cannot find on evike or going HPA and using it anywhere and every I go.

It's has very good quality and has quite the weight to it, even the mags weight almost as much as the gun itself without attachments and the blowback was enough to leave my shoulder alittle bruised but painful enough to where I couldn't shoulder it anymore.

My gripe with it is that it shoots too hard out of the box so I don't know where you'd be allowed to use without downgrading the bolt or just going HPA.

"Very nice build quality, most of the gun is polymer to reduce the weight but feels good in the hands, out of the box this thing lied to me shooting at 430fps on .20 gram BBs. The internals are all metal so thats a plus, i just wish that the fps was as advertised and not over 400.

"The gun is decent, but be careful if you try to take the flash hider off. My outer barrel broke and messed up the whole gun. Also, the bottom of the mag is a cheap plastic, even though the rest is metal. The mag dropped about 2 feet and the plastic piece broke and ruined the mag, unless I can get a replacement piece.

I'd definitely go for the KWA MP7 over this. This is the only Airsoft gun I've bought, out of 7, that has disappointed me.

"I wish this thing would work because when it does it kicks and it's accurate, and its cool. But the first one I got broke almost immediately because the bolt would not lock back and it would runaway on semi auto. The bolts on the bcg were also stripped. No worries though free replacement sent by evike. But I'm on my second now and now the bolt will just randomly lock back and the mags will just fall out. And sometimes a fresh mag will almost immediately whimper out and shoot 5 BBs and all the gas leaks out. I have exhausted myself trying to fix every little issue on this thing and it keeps breaking before I can even use it at a field (which I can't because the NPAS came broken too and it comes shooting about 2J). Just a shame really.
