"Externally its beautiful just which is expected from VFC. Externally this mp5 is real steel spec airsoft spec mp5 handguards and stocks will work with a bit of dremmeling/filing. Ive slapped the charging handle hecka and it hasn't broke yet I have had it for about 5 months.times.The only thing I dislike about this gun externally is the handguard. Due to the nature of this gun battery space is limited but its still possible to fit 1100 stick batteries in the stock handguard as well as ones I posted before though the fiddling required may vary

Performance is pretty meh for the price. The gearbox shell is nice but the internals of the gearbox are meh. The motors pretty weak, The piston has a half polymer rack and the gears are standard ratio. If you plan on getting a high tourque motor, 13 in 1 gears or both REPLACE THE PISTON or it will probably strip. comparing that to a cyma platinum which is like an upgraded gun out the box for about $100 less then if your looking to do less work on your gun. If your looking for performance your better off with a cyma platinum whether it be their own mp5 or another gun.
Overall id give it a 4.5/5 that half a point off for the funny looking handguard with no real easy ways of getting the classic wide forend but I would recommend if your looking for a great looking mp5 aeg with a collapsing stock.

"So I have had my MP5 for a bit over 2 years now I believe, I wanted to make sure I spent a lot of time before reviewing this gun. After all of that time, it has been the most consistent and incredible shooter I have ever used. It is not without its faults, but Ill get into that. But the TL:DR of this is that if you can afford it, you are in for one amazing piece. Worth every dollar in my opinion
Before I get into the pros and cons, I want to preface with one hick up I had right off the bat. When I opened the box, threw in the mag and brought it out to shoot, first 5 shots went off perfectly. The 6th however, the GATE threw an error. Under normal circumstances I would have more than likely been able to fix it myself, but at the time I did not yet own the USB link for the gate so I was unable to check the error myself and clear it. At the time I didn't know what went wrong, so I gave Evike a call, talked them through everything and they payed to have it shipped back to Cali (All the way on the other side of the country from my). They found no issues with it, cleared the error and the gun has performed perfectly ever since. On to the pro/cons
---Cons---
The hop is really strong. Which is also a pro, but in this instance it is so strong that the thing is nearly incapable of shooting 0.2s which is my preferred weight for no engagement distance CQB.
.20 gram BBs get massively overhopped even with the hopup backed all the way out. 0.25s are able to fly straight for the most part, slightly overhopped but doesnt matter for most CQB encounters.
The hop is REALLY strong. If you max the hopup on this gun, it will not fire. Just doesnt have the power to, the BB will get stuck in the bucking and you will jam. Not that you would even need to bring the hop that high given what I wrote above
The stock has a bit of wobble. This isnt so much a con of this gun specifically, rather the base MP5 itself. I fixed this with a single piece of tape on the inside of the stock
Battery space. You all probably saw this coming. This variant is wired to the handguard so lacking battery space is going to come with the territory. Some of the smaller stick type 11.1s from matrix will fit in the base handguard just fine, but dont expect to fit anything else. I put a real steel Midwest Industries handguard on the thing and there is no battery in the world that is gonna fit in there. So I run a tall PTS foregrip and sanded down the deans connectors on my batteries to fit through an M Lok slot. Looks better with a stubby, but cant with them all
---Pros---
Trigger response is insane. This gun has been mistaken by people at my field as a P* or non blowback by how quick and quiet it is. The gearbox is the smoothest and quietest box I have ever heard, truly top tier
The RoF is amazing. I use 3x burst instead of full auto when allowed and this thing absolutely shreds. This is the fastest shooting non DSG build I have ever used personally.
Lets talk about the hopup again. It has its faults, but I swear this is the most accurate gun I have ever owned. with a .3 or higher you can seriously outshoot some actual long range builds. I have used it in outdoor skrims many times and was consistently landing shots I would previously need my sniper to hit. You wouldnt expect it from how tiny it is
While this has nothing to do with function, this gun turns heads. Players and Refs alike very often ask me to take a few shots. It just looks, sounds and feels amazing.
--Closing--
To sums things up. This gun rocks. No other AEG that I have owned through all of my years playing airsoft has come close to this gun. Not even my P* can step to it. If you are even considering this gun as an option, I would just do it. You will not be sorry.

"Got myself one of these, without a doubt the best MP5 on the market as of now.
Overall external feel of the gun is amazing, nothing rattles, everything stays in place.
Battery space is kinda cramped, I was able to fit a 3 cell 11.1 in the handguard tho.
Shooting 370 fps out of the box for me.
Internally it's pretty decent.

-16:1 gears
O-ring nozzle, measured it at 18.96mm with my calipers, so pretty much 19mm
-red piston w/7 metal teeth
-Aluminum piston
-crappy tin foil-like cylinder
-plastic cylinder head
-Proprietary hop up, similar to an AK hop up, nicely crowned brass inner barrel
-crappy vfc black motor, not their neo magnet motor
-vfc tappet plate, surprisingly hasn't broken on me yet.
Disassembly is the same as the previous VFC MP5s that had the burst fire selector switch, that being said getting the wiring back to the handguard is easily the worst part about taking the gun apart.

"Put 1000 rounds through this AEG over the weekend. Didn't have a single issue. Great balance and build.
Chronographed at 330fps with .25bbs
Very good precision and accuracy.
Nice rate of fire and trigger response.
Fantastic field ready AEG right out of the box.
My only issue is the battery compartment in the handgaurd. It takes some time messing around with wiring and battery placement. I recommend butterfly lipo sticks. I managed to fit a 1200mah 11.1v elite force butterfly lipo battery without crushing it. Elite force reps told me the MP5 is lipo safe and can handle 11.1v 20c batteries.

"I generally use this as my CQB gun. Its got decent weight for its size being so small. I've also used this outdoors for large scale events and the range and accuracy was still impressive given its short barrel. Avalon gearbox is solid as expected. With an 11.1v LiPo stick battery, this this shoots like a buzz saw. I really only have 3 gripes with this gun and they are rather minor. It does not come optics ready, meaning you need to buy an additional picatinny rail mount to sit on top of the upper receiver, generally costing an additional $10-15. The battery compartment sits in the front hand guard. Its quite small and makes fitting an 11.1 stick pack in it a nightmare, but doable, if you have the patience. Also, the way the internal wires orient themselves through the upper receiver and into the hand guard makes wire exposure in the magazine well unavoidable. Its almost as if they forgot to allow room for the wires to site on either side of the gear box and not protrude into the mag well. This means that if you aren't careful about tucking in your wires nicely, you can accidentally damage the wires with sloppy, hard magazine changes. These are all just minor things that don't effect the overall performance of the gun. If you don't mind dealing with issues like this, I'd highly recommend picking this thing up.

"So to start off this thing is awesome. The range with .28 bbs is extremely good for such a short barrel and the accuracy is good enough for airsoft. The weight and feel of the gun is very realistic. CYMA metal magazines fit and feed perfectly albeit slightly tighter than the stock hi cap. Trigger response is great on an 11.1 tenergy valor battery and although the battery space is small I have actually gotten a 9.6 nunchuck in there.
On to the cons, having the battery in the handguard means that the wires must pass through an EXTREMELY small hole at the front of the receiver. It takes some serious patience to get them through the first couple times. There's also almost no room for the wires to slide beside the gearbox as it is so its easy to think it's together only to find that you can't seat the magazine anymore because the wires are sitting in the magwell. Due to this horrible design element (although there probably isn't another way) the wires will suffer some damage to the insulation when you take the receivers apart. If you try to re shrink them its almost always too big to fit out of the way of the mag well. Liquid wire repair will be your friend if you decide to do something as simple as change the barrel.
Now this con that is completely irrelevant on the A4 version, which is rear wired. I chose the A5 because I'm using it as a sniper secondary and wanted the smaller profile when not in use. The only other con that I can really speak to is that the rear sight is not an actual HK style sight. Meaning you cannot set elevation and then choose your aperture. If you don't know what I mean look up "mp5 rear sight tool" on YouTube. There's a tool you can insert into a real sight which unlocks the drum and allows you to raise or lower the sight and then lock that position while you can then choose which aperture you want. I got around this by simply installing a red dot but it would have been nice to be able to do both.
Those 2 design flaws/choices force me to give 4 stars instead of 5. All in all I love it and am totally pleased so far.

"Great gun. Bought this a while back and fielded it yesterday. Crazy good trigger response with an 11.1 lipo. Nice and short for an effective tracer install, if desired

Fire control selector not mushy at all, like some are. nice and crisp.

Sort of tight in the assembly/disassembly process.
Tri-lug sort of floats and freely rotates. annoying when putting on a suppressor or tracer unit.

"Had this gun for quite some time now, probably put 15k-20k bbs through it. Have ran this gun in a myriad of different conditions, from dry and sunny to rainy and humid. Gun has performed remarkably for me. I use elite force mid caps and have had zero issues with feeding.
First off range and accuracy, I use .28 bbs and it shoots just under 1 joule, very consistent readings. I had one concern with this gun knowing it has a short barrel I didn't think range would be all that great but, I have gotten 200ft shots fairly easily after breaking in the hop. And the gun shoots like a laser, super straight accurate shots.
Trigger is good but not great, I do like that it feels like a real trigger though, not like the weird clicky krytac triggers.
Battery space for the A5 is tight, but smaller 11.1v lipos will fit.
I wired mine to Dean's off the bat which helped.
Build quality is also quite good with no weird wobble or loose parts.
Overall this has been an awesome gun and I have used it a lot since I got it earlier in the summer right (2019). Have not had any issues nor have I felt the need to upgrade the gun. I will say though after all the time spent with it I would probably install a stronger motor, but that's about it, maybe upgrade the hop once the stock one wears out.

"Pros: The gun shoots just under 400 out of the box. Additionally, with the hop up tuned in, I was outranging my friend’s polarstar m4. The G&P mid caps fit PERFECTLY and they are made of metal. The gun has a lot of pop when it fires and the trigger pull feels... right, and not like the clicky Krytac Kriss Vector. The sling points are made for right handed shooters, but as a lefty, I’ve managed to use a one point sling comfortably. Finally, as I transition to the cons, it’s good to mention that this gun comes with a 1 year Elite Force warranty!
Cons: For one, with that 1 year warranty, you won’t want to immediately upgrade this gun. That can be seen as a negative. The fire rate isn’t very impressive for a $350 smg, even with an 11.1V lipo with a 30C burst discharge, but that can be fixed with a new motor when you decide to upgrade and void the warranty. Another issue is the abysmal battery space on the A5 model, which isn’t helped by the fact that this gun comes standard with Tamiya connections. I’m barely able to squish in a 11.1V, 1000 mAh lipo, and that’s AFTER I soldered on Deans connectors! Also, the high cap mag that comes with the gun wobbles. I hate wobbly mags in a high end gun, especially when the mag comes WITH the gun. The hop up system is not a rotary or flat hop, so you may end up flat or rotary hopping this gun in the future. Finally, this gun weighs a little over 6 pounds, so be mindful of that if you struggle with heavier guns.
Tips: Have your local shop owner put Deans connectors on your gun and lipo battery as soon as the gun arrives, but if you do it yourself, do NOT do what I did and snip both battery wires at the same time. That makes your lipo smoke and never work again, and it might blow up. Finally, I can recommend buying H&K’s mp5 rail, it works great with no wobble whatsoever.
Conclusion: I recommend this gun, but I acknowledge that you can build a better m4 for the same price. Buy this gun if you are excited to use the best of the mp5 platform!

"Got this on sale a couple months back to replace my gas MP5s when the weather gets cold.
Internally it's very nice. It hops .32s out of the box with zero issue. Easily takes 11.1v batteries, has a very nice ROF with it too. The trigger feels somewhat loose, as if there's no response until the very end. Overall internally it seems very reliable and high quality stock.
Unfortunately, the externals leave a lot to be desired. The stock is only a 2-position stock unlike other collapsible MP5 stocks, and the front end assembly is very disappointing. The barrel is essentially a facade, the outer barrel is held in place with glue, the threads/muzzle device is also glued in place. The only thing actually holding the barrel back is a washer and screw in the front sight. Since the stock muzzle device was too short to accept any actual 3-lug attachments, I attempted to remove it with no luck since it's all held together with glue and not meant to be removed. Now the entire barrel wobbles. It also feels of cheap plastic, like a thin curtain rod. The entire front-assembly, front sight included, seems like a cheap plastic. I am hoping to find a replacement soon.
The stock hi-cap is remarkably wobbly in the magwell and will not feed unless held in place. I use the Elite Force midcaps and they feed flawlessly however.
