"This is my review of the Barry Burton Gen 2 Version 2.

The gun came assembled with red tape around the muzzle.
Outer barrel is threaded, incase that is important to you.
Magazine does not leak at all, though if it does I suggest some cylinder grease that is safe on O-rings for the internal portions of the mag.
Safety works fine, the hammer needs to be cocked in order to engage the safety/decocker. That is the design of the Gen 2.
Rear side is nice and strong, no wiggle unlike the two Version 1's I own.
Grips are plastic but they look and feel nice.
Semi auto and full auto work extremely well, no complaints at all.
Only issue i have had was removing the slide. When you remove the muzzle the slide should be allowed to come straight off, like the Version 1. However the Version 2's lower rail has a little lip that catches the slide from moving forward. I managed to get it off after some trial and error.
Other than that, gun came greased/lubed and in a plastic bag inside of the box. Also had a paper with all the part numbers in a exploded view of both the Gen 2 Version 1 and Gen 2 Version 2.

"This is basically the best samurai edge on the market hands down. Full auto is amazing, the aesthetics are spot on, and the price is unbeatable. If you're a fan of Jill sandwiches and weapons that are especially powerful against living things, pick this up!

Performance is good. Full auto is really snappy and the gas consumption is alright. While there arent many upgrade parts on Evike for this, you can always get cheap replacement parts.

Perfect replica in my opinion. The trademarks are crisp, the barrel is chrome, and the faux wood looks real. Also this thing is HUGE. Its bigger than my Fnx-45 and has similar dimensions to a Deagle. None of my holsters are adequate but I was using this as a primary anyways.

Overall 10/10

"SAMURAI EDGE MOD 2: BARRY'S HANDGUN FROM RESIDENT EVIL REVELATIONS 2

So if you're here, you're either here because this is physically the coolest looking Samurai Edge to date (and will remain so, since RE7's reboot means that the RE1 universe is effectively retconned out of existence), or because you missed the boat on the $260 Tokyo Marui officially licensed version of the famous Samurai Edge from Revelations 2.

The gun is finished to WE spec, which is to say that it is not particularly refined. There are tooling marks all over the inside of the slide, they slapped stickers (the kind that leave annoying stuck-in paper bits) over the STARS etching, the safety only works when the slide is out of battery (as in, when you pull the slide back; it will not work with the slide forward whether the hammer is up or down), and the slide feels very gritty when cycled manually.

Note that you WILL have to break off the orange tip with pliers to mount the signature muzzle brake in a way that allows the trigger to work normally. It is possible to mount it without doing so, but you will be completely unable to fire (since the slide will be permanently out of battery) and the trigger will not work.

It does come with a threaded adapter that will screw into the tipless barrel, but there is absolutely no reason to do that because the rail section goes far enough to support the muzzle brake, meaning that even if you did want to mount something else, it would likely get impeded by the rail section.

That being said, this is a pretty darn good looking replica. Everything is aesthetically spot on when the muzzle brake is mounted, and as long as you don't mess with the safety, you could almost believe that you have the best replica available (which right now, you do, because it's the ONLY one available).

I haven't fired it yet, so I'll post an update/edit this review for further information. It's unlikely that there will be particularly many other reviewers of this relatively obscure limited run (it's not listed on WE's official site as an ongoing production model) handgun.

TL;DR

If you are a Revelations 2 fan, GET THIS RIGHT NOW, as it'll be the last chance you will ever get to have the latest, final, and arguably best iteration of the iconic Samurai Edge.

If you are not a Revelations 2 fan but always wanted to know what it would be like to shoot with a tank muzzle brake on a handgun, get this handgun.

If you are looking for the best value for your money, I would get the ASG M9 instead. It's made by KJW with all KJW parts, but sold for $20 less than KJW's own M9. The M9A1 Heavyweight variant even has features that the KJW doesn't (like a Brigadier slide and Inox barrel) while still being $30-40 cheaper.

"We call this one "The Part Chucker"

If you are using full auto, the vibration will rattle the screws that hold the rail and muzzle break to the gun. I recommend using some "Locktite" or similar product to keep these in place. One time during a game these screws came loose and they sheared at the bottom of the slide. Another time they came out and the slide got stuck behind them in a way that it almost could not be removed. On side of the safety/select-fire fell of as well and had no screw or rivet to re attach it. Even when on single fire it tends to do a 3 shot burst occasionally.

Nonetheless it still shoots people and we use it all the time. Just be prepared.
