"The Kimera Grenade is the best option for grenade since the Tornado.
Completely reusable and disperses bbs well. A great option for people not looking to spend money per throw with their grenades.

"OMG!!! Thisw thing is AWESOME!!! We own AI bangers and this thing beat them hands down!
it seems louder, no consumables to buy, the single pushbutton arming is way better than the AI bangers where you have to push the fuse pin down push it off to the angle and insert your pin. With this one...push the button down put the pin in , fill with gas, put it together and you are good to go. The design is solid and feels good in the hand. Detonates with the slightest jarring against any surface.
If this is the Junior, I would like to see the senior. Way to go Evike this is a keeper!! (now they'll probably strop carrying it..lol)

"Ok so i got this about 2 weeks ago and have played with it twice now. first time i played with it i played at mr paintball in Escondido CA. A large outdoor field with very soft ground. It worked but not that well due to the soft ground this is an impact grenade and likes something hard to hit for it to detonate. Now last weekend i played at camp Pen and this field has a ton of hard cover and a pretty rock solid ground not to soft like the hills of esco. and let me tell you this is where i fell in love with this little thing ! had racked up 3 nade kills by the end of the day every time i tossed it it went off and felt so good every time. as for volume its actually a pretty good little pop had one player jump and it was outdoors. needless to say you know when it goes off next to you. i wouldn't put to many bbs in there for it takes away from the pop i feel like but i could be wrong. its also easy to make back up pins for this model if you loose them. as well do not over fill this grenade .5 seconds to fill it you will know when its full the pin will have tension on it. also when you break it cuz you will its because you put too much green gass in. very simple i mean simple fix. unscrew the top portion of the grenade the part that has the flat sized this will let you into the internals. if you cant with your hands get a small allen key and use it as a lever where the pin goes and a wrench on the flat part. unscrew and inside you will find a ball and a few other parts dont mess with any of it just find the red or black o ring that is floating around in there some ware its rather large because it fits on the threads to make up the air seal. find it grease it do what ever you want to clean it but put it back onto the top of the threads where there is space for it you should see it. theirs you tube videos on how to maintenance your JR2 as well good luck hope you like it as much as i did.

"This is amazing! I highly recommend it. It is easy to use, simple, resetting is very quick, and it is nice and loud. It has minimal moving parts, is hefty, durable and small. A few important things to note:
-It only takes half a second of time to fill it with gas. Any more and it will knock the seal loose and you will have to do a little (as in 3 minutes at most) work to reset the seal.
-It is pretty useless out doors unless the ground is hard or you throw it at a tree. If it lands in mud or soft dirt, it won't likely go off.
-DO NOT use the retaining lanyard it comes with. That thing WILL come lose and then it will be a pain to find the other part. I suggest some very thin para-cord or you can use a hair tie that is cut to be one long piece.
-Before you use this, mark it with reflective or neon tape and put your contact info on it with a note that it is not to be thrown away. It is so small that people might mistake it for a thunder b core and trash it.
-Don't bother using powder or bbs in the base because while it may work, it really is pointless and will take the "boom" out of it.
I have to reiterate that this is an amazing grenade. Indoors it pops every time and can be primed with barely any gas right on the spot. Try it out and you will be very pleased. The only mistake you can really make is not buying two. Haha!

"By far the easiest, fastest to set up, most effective grenade ever made. But the cyclone holds the best overall title without competition.
It's not thunder b loud, but it's louder than the cyclone.
It does throw a few bb's but not consistent or far.
It seems like it might last longer than most grenades due to it having hardly any parts, a o-ring, a button and a 50mm-ish bearing.
Add in the Non-Map factor and this is a great, cheap, highly reuseable, long lasting grenade.
Only flaw is the cheap dental floss they give you to tie the two ends together. Mine broke after 1 use.
I'm sure a shoe string will work just fine as a replacement upgrade.

"This is by far the best grenade I've owned. When you fill it with bbs the spread is good and some reach at least 100fps so you can definitely feel em hit you. Its not to loud so it won't hurt your ears. The only problem is the string it comes with is alot weaker then it should be. I fixed it by replacing it with nylon string. All in all 5 stars!

"Really easy to use and it is also extremely versatile, you can have BB's in it like a tornado (the spread is pretty big) or leave the BB's out and it is a sound grenade. Only part that you actually have to "put together' is the pin when you insert it in. The assembly is a matter of putting the pin in adding green gas and putting the bottom on. They even include a string to attach the bottom to the top so you will not loose them. It is small, has multiple uses, easy to assemble, and made of durable material so it can be used over and over again. 5/5

"Awesome grenade. Has some issues but all airsoft grenades seem to have their quirks and issues. Smaller than an AI Cyclone or a Burst xl. Good bang indoors. Probably about the same loudness as a Burst xl armed with a single burst disc. Kimera sounds like more of a pop whereas an AI Burst xl sounds like more of a crack. Works well with BBS or marking powder but BBS probably only have a 5-10 foot spread and at very low velocity and are barely felt compared to a cyclone. They are more thrown instead of shot and you can feel the difference. Trigger is more likely to go off than a cyclone. Very quick reset. Any leaks are easily fixed without disassembly with a syringe a bit of silicone grease. Inject a small bit of grease in the file hole while depressurized and with the pin out and shake the ballbearing inside to spread it around then reset as normal. Precision Mechanics Airsoft has the Kimera Jr 3.0 released now with green gas and co2/high pressure gas variants. Hopefully evike will be stocking those soon!

Pros:
Price,
Reliably goes off,
Good bang,
Sound with the option of including BBS and/or marking powder,
Very quick to reset,
Very easy to use once set up,
Gas efficient (holds much more gas than required for a full volume detonation, only a quick press is required to fill however adding more gas can seem to help in dispersing marking powder in the air from the excess gas spray that keeps occuring after detonation),
Small size,
Light and unlikely to cause injury if accidentally thrown into someone's head.

Cons:
Cannot be trusted as safe with pin in. (2 issues can occur: 1. Gas can slowly leak into the bb chamber and cause a premature detonation (even with pin in place) if it has too little grease and a or a poor seal. 2 a hard knock can cause the ballbearing inside to temporarily shift allowing gas to escape and cause a partial or full detonation (even with pin in place). With partial detonation there is still gas retained and it can spray more gas from the full hole if triggered again or even fully go off again if recapped and triggered again. Like all grenades it must never be loaded or taken into a safe zone while filled but this is especially relevant with these trigger issues.

Looks cheap (but is very quality),
Included teather string is garbage,
Poor bb dispersal and velocity. People may not call hits because they simply don't feel them.

"Got the grenade today and out of the box mine had a LEAK and you will have to "tune" it as per the instructions. Basically turn the two halves tightening or loosening until the ball inside doesn't wiggle around with the pin in it and you can still fill it with gas. Over tightening will tighten the ball inside too much and plug the fill port and keep it from taking in gas. And I HAD TO FIX A LEAK.... Not super happy about that but it was an easy enough fix for me.

Already used an 8oz can of green gas with it just having fun and trying it out and tuning it. More than 20 throws as well as chasing down and fixing the leak. Very powerful, without the string attached it shot the end cap about 30 feet into the air and another 30 feet away and into a tree. You'll want to upgrade the string asap. A strand from the inside of 550 paracord will probably do the trick. I do not suggest wire.

Inside there is a metal ball that sits on a very thick O-ring, the O-ring was not molded well and wasn't truly round on the inner hole where the ball sits. My fix was to clean all the grease off the O-ring and ball then heat up the ball with a lighter and HOLD IT WITH PLIERS and set it on the rubber to melt it's shape into the exact shape of the ball for a much better and leak free fit. Then take it off and wait for it to cool down and carefully put it back together with plenty of grease.

PROS.
small and lite.
easy reset and no extra cost to run
pretty loud.
simple and seemingly strong design.
has gone off every time i have thrown it, mostly on grass covered gravel.

CONS.
basically all ABS plastic.
provided rope broke after 10ish throws.
pin slips out rather easily so semi unsafe and only one pin provided.
does not have good BB spread.
LEAKED GAS into the boom chamber right out of the box.

Disclaimer, repair at your own risk. you can always ask to return it for another one through evike if your item does not work out of the box and or take it to an Airsoft shop to see if they can fix it.

"I used this for a few months only in indoor CQB games.

It is not as loud as my thunder B grenades, which is a big negative. It was just not loud enough in a noisy environment--so some players did not know it went of near them. Outside I bet it would be useless.

I like that is is simple to reset and pretty reliable. Loading with BBs, in my opinion is a waste of time. They don't spray out like my cyclone grenade.

I needed to use heavy shock cord to attach the two halves, to prevent them from breaking free from each other and getting lost.

Learn more about it on youtube by searching: "Everything you ever wanted to know about airsoft grenades, but were afraid to ask!"

Overall pretty good price, average performance.

"I was good while it lasted! I used this a lot over around 20 hours of play and now it just leaks gas out of the sides and slowly seeps out after 5 mins, when it does hold gas it will not go off at all. I picked up back up and it went off in my bag about 20 mins later.

"These are a clever, simple idea, but they are fragile and unreliable.

Out of the five, two cracked at the thin collar where three bottom cap snaps on, and one more won't hold gas reliably. Silicone oil didn't help either. These need a specific amount of force to go off, rolling them into a room won't do it. Because it's this, they do not go off reliably, and throwing them with more force risks cracking the plastic body.

With some design modifications, better quality control, and a thicker casing, these could be a really great product.

"I received this grenade and was excited to use it. I decided to test it before using it on the field, following the arming instructions provided. This is a great sound grenade, not too loud. That is about it. I was going to test it again, but while charging it with green gas, I found a crack along the main housing. The green gas would leak out after trying to charge it. I could not figure out why it cracked, that I tested it on grass and waited 5 min after charging. I really want to give this grenade 5 stars but seeing that I only used it once was a major bummer. I did order 2 more in hopes that this grenade is a defect. I will update once I have received and tested the grenades.
