"I put this on my elite version from umarex and as the hand guard on that version IS ALREADY attached with metric screws , tho I previously swapped them out for longer thumb screws, it was a super easy swap out adding the full 14" length to my short barrel version. Black looks amazing on my tan C-TAR.

"Got this to give my IWI Tar 21 more of a space gun look, and it does not disappoint!

I read the other reviews that said the side screws are too small to fit through the handguard, and this is true, but it's actually not an issue.
Just leave the side screws in the gun, put on the outer barrel extension (which has a rubber ring at the tip), and slide the handguard into place. It's a snug fit, no jiggling or creaking sounds.

This makes it easy to slide the handguard off and on when dealing with the battery, or when you want to go back to CQB length. No tool needed, just needs the slightest bit of force to slide off, but make sure not to scratch or bang the handguard against the barrel to prevent against potential damage.

Only downside is that it makes the gun front heavy, but it doesn't bother me, wasn't planning on one handing this anyway.

Highly recommend if you're looking for that sci-fi cosmetic upgrade.

"This is an awesome addition to my Tavor. I had to improvise on the screws that keep the handguard in place since they were too small and didn't fit. This didn't ruin anything but did cause an inconvenience since I had to cut down a bolt and put a nut on it. It fits tight on the gun and barrel and doesn't feel like it needs the screws to stay in place.

"Hello all!,

First, this is my first review on any product really and I thought this should be my first since its for a product that when I was looking to buy wish I couldve had a review or two to gauge what I was getting. Alas I was one of the first to purchase I assume since this just came out on Evike in January of 2017. (february 17th 2017 as of writing this) so lets dive into it.

First impression: HOLY SHIT THIS LOOKS SICK!
So as a person in his young 20s I was looking to get back into the sport I enjoyed as a kid but to buy a way better gun than I could ever afford as a child. So I bought one of my favorite Bullpups the Tar-21 by elite force the elite edition with AEG Blowback.

My personal needs:
So I wanted an attachment to my Tar-21 that made it look cool as fuck but also provided for some rail space on the gun since it has only a few stock rails. Also I wanted the gun to have something to even out the look of the gun for when I chose to snipe as the tar-21 has an easy to change spring system and with a few upgrades I would be able to use it as a DMR/Sniper role. This attachment provided the rail space I desired while making the Tar-21 look like a laser gun from some dystopian futuristic warrior. This DOES add some length and comes with the barrel extensions for BOTH the competition and elite versions from Umarex.

Pros
-Looks great
-Easy installation with minimal screws
-Full Metal (makes this durable and also adds quality)
-Adds needed rail options with easy to use M-Lok system (I was able to put on a M-lok system hand grip below where the handgrip would normally be on the tar-21)
-Has flush front finish that looks like it would be scary to be looking at when getting shot.
-Did I mention how great this thing looks?
-

Cons (with lengthy explanations)

-Foregrip ergonomics: The great thing about the stock tar is its comfortable front handguard that is a great fit. with this extension you lose all of that for this straight edge piece of metal that without gloves will not be gentle to your hands. I had to install a front foregrip with M-Lok connection (I personally used the slanted foregrips to replicate the feel of the stock foregrip)

- Lack of value with purchase. you just get the barrel extension and no M-Lok rail systems to install and you must purchase or have some laying around on top of purchasing this $75 (at time of my purchase on sale form $100)
-Weight... With it being full metal this fairly large piece of metal does add a considerable amount of weight to this gun. This is by far one of the largest complaints I can have but I also expected this since it is completely metal and guarantees its durability when using it in play.

-LENGTH! so this is a barrel cover intended possibly for the sole use of extending the look of the guy. This could be debating amongst some and even myself because I could see myself upgrading the barrel length to as I discussed earlier fill a sniper/dmr role and this attachment would go perfectly for this since it comes with a barrel extension and handguard system that would hide that modification with a more finished and polished look that also fits the appropriate length for the barrel it is hiding. Overall though since bullpups are made for their short length and long barrel I cannot justify using it until I commit to upgrading this gun enough for outdoor play with an upgraded barrel and hop up system. I am currently not using this for my indoor CQB games since it is winter.
Specifically this attachment adds about 4 inches from the stock barrel (without any flash hider on.) that being said the flash hider I have on now adds almost as much length but does not have all the other metal therefore keeping the lightweight feel of the Tar and being able to quickly bring the gun up.

-Comes with no instructions. There are no instructions on how to attach this although after several minutes it became kinda clear what you needed to do. Although one issue I ran into was that when attaching the front piece that hides the front of the barrel was that you have to insert the barrel extension that comes with the gun into the slot of front piece but when first trying to match up the barrel with the slot hole for the front there was a large mismatch that I had to play around with pushing and gently guiding the pieces together to work. I did not like this since I felt I was forcing things rather than properly assembling.

-Exepensive... I spent money on this as a birthday gift to myself when I saw it drop from $100 to $75 its cool factor is almost worth the price but it is currently overpriced in my opinion. I would much rather see the regular price of this item be at the $60 price range not on sale but if you can afford this go for it you will enjoy the way it looks if you really are looking for that WOW factor and is ultimately why I bought it.

Overall: I am happy with the purchase for the sole fact that it completed what I was looking for with an item like this which was to just look badass and cool. This extension just makes the Tar-21 look like a new no so distant future long version of the tar-21. If you do not need to worry about CQB situations as much and want to not have something that looks like an M4 or DMR and performs like one with the option to detach this to go back to CQB play this is the attachment for you.

"looks good fitting is a little more difficult than expected. dismantleing it every time i need to chargethe battery is annoying to say the least. it does add alot of weight to the front of the gun as well . IMO if your just wanting a gun for CQB the tar is nice but this is probably not the way you wanna go.

"First impression: Good workmanship, screws go in and fit perfectly. Looks perfect for my DMR build on the external matter

Second impression upon trying to install: Too bad mate, won't fit. The barrel extender is 4 mm too long and will NOT align with the barrel's natural form, I will have to bend the barrel down for about 6~8 mm. I will have to modify the barrel extender piece and hope to the old gods and the new it will fit.

This is not something I expected when buying such an expensive external part

Airsoft replica used: S&T T-21 PRO EBB

TL;DR: Looks great, Pain in the hindquarters to mount
