The Tokyo Marui Next Generation Recoil Shock System (NGRS) helps to bridge the realism of a gas blowback rifle with the convenience and performance of an AEG. Utilizing a reciprocating weight, simulated recoil and muzzle flip is generated to simulate an actual cycling bolt. Additional features include an electronic bolt lock back function that locks the bolt back upon firing the last BB from the magazine, the rifle will then stop firing until a loaded magazine is inserted and the bolt stop pressed (feature only works with Tokyo Marui NGRS magazines).

Unlike Tokyo Marui Airsoft guns of the past, the new Recoil Shock System rifles now feature metal receivers instead of all polymer as well as fully licensed trademarks to add to the realism of these replicas. Combined with Tokyo Marui's high quality internals and stock dependability, these rifles are great to skirmish out of the box or as a base for high performance projects.

While the Tokyo Marui NGRS system has been around for nearly a decade in the Asian market, their availability has been limited/restricted due to licensing and importation issues; however through Evike.com and partners, the tried and true NGRS system rifles are now finally going to be readily available state-side.

"Bought this during Black Friday and used it today. Man where to start? This thing is absolutely incredible! I got the M4 SOPMOD and converted it into a M4A1 Block II, not only does it feel amazing in your hands, it preformed like a champ. Yes it shoots soft, but that’s TM for ya. But don’t let that discourage you, the TM hopup magic is for real. I’m hopping .32’s easily and very consistently hitting my target. The recoil is no gbbr, but you definitely notice it and with the working bolt catch, the combination only adds to its’ realism. I got the Laylax battery converter; super easy to install and allows you to get away from the proprietary battery. After today, this has become my favorite gun by a long shot (no pun intended). Don’t let the price deter you, you’re definitely getting what you pay for in quality and performance - despite the low fps.

Pros:
High quality material/build
Zero wobble on any part of the rifle
Realistic features (recoil/bolt catch)
Infamous TM gearbox/hopup magic

Cons:
Price (worth it in my opinion, but can be a con for others)
Specific gear box (means for not as much upgrade options as others, though there are still a decent amount)
Proprietary mags (there’s a nozzle you can buy to use regular mags, but your bolt catch won’t be functional)

"Solid gun. Received this recently and I love it. I used the laylax SOPMOD small tamiya conversion kit to not have to use the proprietary battery. Trigger response is super good, recoil is definitely noticeable, and the bolt catch only adds to the realism. I haven't had a lot of time to use it but from the 6 mags I've shot, this thing is awesome. I definitely recommend it to those looking for a more affordable training weapon.

"I bought this gun because I wanted a reliable, realistic m4. With this gun I have gotten everything I've ever wanted and more! It's accurate, durable, the working bolt stop adds a whole new level of play. Even though it shoots a little soft, it is still a beast. The hop up is solid and doesn't move from the recoil. The only gripes I have with this gun are the magazines and the battery. You have to buy magazines specifically for this weapon or the bolt stop wont work. There are adapters you can buy to make other magazines work for this weapon but it will disable the bolt stop function. The battery is a really weird battery for me but was an easy fix. I just took it into my local proshop and had them rewire it so it will fit the LIPO's that I currently own. Overall I highly recommend this gun to anyone who wants more dynamic and realistic elements in airsoft. The price tag is high but is well worth every penny. I hope my review helps someone out there!
