"I had to have this gun as soon as I laid eyes on it - not because of Scarface particularly, but because of it's unmistakable Vietnam war connection - and I wasn't disappointed. But I think I would not got have such a long rifle were I to buy again, because it is BIG. The photos do not convey just how really big it is: It's long, heavy, unbalanced, and a bit unwieldy for that reason. I still love the appearance, but if I did it over I'd get an M4 with a (full metal) 203 combo instead. But I really wanted the wrap around shield for the 203, (which removes easily by pulling back on the handguard ring and levering upwards) since it looks authentic, and no other standalone M203 has it. The gun is full metal, which is good, since the 203 is mostly plastic... and at this price the 203 ought to have a metal barrel instead of plastic (the heat shield is plastic with an aluminum liner). So this gun does deliver in the bad-azz department and certainly looks the part.
But this gun is full of small disappointments: On pulling the trigger, the gearbox sounds springy and hollow, and the FPS ought to be more powerful given the gun's considerable length. On the other hand, battery space (behind a small door in the buttplate) is huge and you ought to be able to fit a lipo (and even if it won't fit through the butt trap door, you can just unscrew the butt plate, insert the battery and replace the butt plate).
This gun is big, impressive, and looks big and bad - but several flaws and disappointing minor touches keep this gun from being perfect.
PROS
- Authentic Vietnam war gear
- Formidable appearance
- Huge battery space
- Full metal on the rifle at least
- Removable carrying handle for optics
- Front barrel screws off easily (CCW) for suppressor
CONS
- too much plastic on the launcher!
- Needs a better, smoother gearbox
- missing the front sling swivel (on the real thing GI's just clipped the front sling mount to the front sight ass'y though)
- rate of fire is too low, regardless of battery voltage

"To start, this is probably the cheapest M16 w/M203 you'll find on the market.
But boy is it underrated.
Out of the box this thing was shooting 420 fps consistently!, that is ALL from the air seal too, the spring is around an M100 power, MAYBE an M110.
I had heard that some of these had quick change spring systems, and even mosfets.....definitely not true, tho im more saddened by the lack of the quick change spring system, but it doesnt mention it in the description.
Internally, this thing's pretty decent.
It has silver wiring, with a wire extension.
The biggest suprise was the air compression parts, the nozzle doesnt even have an o ring and it had damn near perfect compression, but.....upon trying to install a lonex cylinder kit....the parts wouldnt drop in, they seemed to be too small for some odd reason, honestly dont know what to make of it, so for now the stock air seal will have to do.
Gears are ok, tho there was only ONE shim....on top of the bevel gear, so add a few more shims and re-grease the gears.
The gearbox shell has 8mm ball bearings and is re-inforced at the front, tho one of the bearings seems to have been installed upside down somehow.....seems to work fine surprisingly
Motor was meh, puts out a decent ROF on a 9.6 volt
Barrel and hop up seem alright too.
The m203 works as well as any other m203 out there and does its job.
The piston did not have the 2nd to last tooth removed, so get to that when u get the chance.
Definitely gonna recommend this over the overpriced G&P M16A3 w/M203.

"Now that I have switched the stock barrel with a MadBull TBB, this thing is shooting lasers. I only still give this four out of five because the mag well is finicky with a lot of mags. They wobble side to side and fromt to back. I have found that the Lonex high cap flash mag fits the best out of all mags I own. Overall awesome gun for the price. The grenade launcher sets this gun off just right and with a crisp trigger response and a very decent ROF even using just a 9.6 grouping is very good even at 200 ft. It's no DMR, but I would recommend this to anyone with an M16 fetish.

"I'm giving a half of a review because I haven't had the chance to shoot this gun yet but all in all I'm happy with the feel and looks a good body but mags are a bit wobbly for my liking

"This is a sweet gun. All metal receiver, barrel and even metal top carrying handle, which is great. My gun shoots powerful over 400 fps with a good 9.6 nimh battery. Buttstock battery compartment is huge compared to my standard JG M16A2. Components are good. Nothing to complain about EXCEPT the gun arrived with a few graphics/trademarks printed on the receiver that were not shown on the item description page. There's a skull and a biohazard type graphic on both sides. They don't look terrible but i was expecting all black finish. Overall still an awesome gun.
