Lonex Aluminum One Piece Metal Hopup for AK Series Airsoft AEG Rifles

"Way better than the stock plastic unit. However, you will need to file down the lever to your desired resistance. After that, though, it's smooth sailing. You can even tighten down the screws to lock the adjustment arm in place.

"Nice feeling hop up unit. The arm may be too big to slide when you get yours, but there is a purpose behind this. You can file down the blue arm to the resistance you want. Over time, the vibration from the gearbox may move your adjustment, but keeping the arm thick allows the adjustment to resist unintended movement.

"This is my go to aftermarket hop up. The main point about this hop up is that it works with most mags, as opposed to other hop ups. The e&l hop up nozzle goes too far down and causes double feeding with certain mags. The cheap looking matrix/cyma one was awful; the nozzle was either too far back or forward (it was 5 years ago) and my mags couldn't fit into my ak cpw. Then the real sword nozzle is too short; it wouldn't active my rpk mag in my echo 1 rpk for feeding.

Anyway, when it comes to this hop up, it actually does what a hop up does. It will fit most mags and fits into a variety of guns and barrels. I had this a e&l gen 2, echo1 rpk, and echo1 contractor ak. Then it has this little circular extension in the back so the hop up seats flush with the gear box for proper feeding and air compression.

Also, yes there's no hole for the screw in the back of the hop up, but it honestly doesn't need a screw there. The plastic is large enough that it keeps it in place.

Pros:
-Works with a variety of mags
-Works with a variety of guns
-Flawless feeding and accuracy

Cons:
-False advertising since there's no hole for the back screw, but that's not needed.

Pro tip: Place a O-ring on the front screw where the slider is to prevent the slider from moving.

"Super reliable hopup, but I did have to file down the adjustment arm to make it fit.

"Good upgrade for lct ak’s. It gives mags a much better positive connection when reloading.

The hop adjustment arm on mines needed to be filed down to actually make it move the arm Because it was too big to fit into the metal slots that it slides (the arm that you slide left or right to adjust the hop, not the actual nub arm)

"Every hop-up unit that i've bought has been Lonex and they have yet to let me down. This Unit is an awesome upgrade for your gun. The parts dont fit together perfectly but thats where sanding comes in which is what makes Lonex hop-up units so good; sand to fit your gun. The only issue ive ever had with my hop-up is losing hop. (after about 60 mags mind you). A little adjustment, then tightening the adjustment screw and i have yet to lose any hop. Overall, a great unit

Pros:

-Metal unit
-High quality polymer parts
-Sand-to-fit parts
-Strong hop w/ the right bucking and nub

Cons:

-Metal (Can be affected by cold weather)

"on arrival everything seemed fine until i started assembling it when i noticed i have the same problem as the person below me has stated about the hole not being there for the screw. But other than that the hopup works fine. In all honesty though id steer clear of this and get a better hopup

"These hop-up units seems to be suffering from poor quality control and electroplating.

I've purchased two in the past month and each one has had flaking metal coming off of the inside of the feed tube and body, especially where the air nozzle and magazine feed ports are. There has been corrosion to the point that large nuggets of aluminum oxide have been fouling my barrel and magazines.

The slide arm is too wide for the groove it sits in, and the pilot hole for the retainer screw hasn't been tapped, so the slide arm will not sit securely in its groove.

I've had better experience with the plastic hop-up units, to be honest.
