Matrix L96 Marui Clone AWS Bolt Action Airsoft Sniper Rifle (Color: Black)

"I love this sniper rifle. I got it whilst it was on sale and even then, I couldn't be happier. There are a few..."things"...I'd like to bring up for any potential purchasers:

First thing...don't take the orange tip off. It will leave you with male threads on the end of your barrel (which look weird in my opinion). Just put a mock suppressor on? Good luck. I have YET to find an adapter to fit the size (~18mm) that is the right thread pitch. I ended up ordering another muzzle brake from overseas. Not worth it.

Second thing...(this was probably just MY MA440w L96), but it shot WAY under the estimated FPS when it first arrived. I'm talking like 330fps range. (Fixed that by getting the Angel Custom Advanced Precision Tune-up Kit. Now she's shootin' 526fps on .20g)

Third thing...the stock has a Harris lug. Recommend against trying to get the bipod and adapter as depicted in the picture.

I know it may sound like I have more CONS than PROS about this, but I really don't. The first time I shot it, I was amazed by how much I enjoyed it. It was easy to assemble. The scope provided is a simple 3-9x40, but it gets the job done. For a plastic stock, it really doesn't feel plastic so it's easily overlooked. You definitely get more than you pay for with the Matrix MA440w L96 AWS.

All in all, this is a great sniper for beginners looking to get into long range engagement...or for the more senior Airsofters that are looking for a rock solid foundation from which to build a legendary sniper platform.

"I love it and it shoots very well as well as the gun feels good in the hands.

"Ill be quick:
Pros
-comes with a scope (no bipod for me)
-metal bolt assembly
-other important parts are metal parts
-slick bolt action
-sounds loud and quiet at the same time...

Cons
-lower FPS, circa 410
-no bipod included
-pain to find adaptors for bipod and suppressors
-body is cheaper plastic feel, BUT its lightweight and very durable (con and plus)

Overall, it looks AWESOME, and performs OK. With upgrades this thing will be awesome in both categories. The L96 is beautiful and this is no exception.

"Pros
-Generally consistent (reccomend heavier bbs)
-Racking the bolt feels awesome
-Circa 400+ FPS (guess)
-Comes with a scope, and easy to assemble
-Feels sturdy, doesnt rattle except for a bipod piece
-Huge mag
-Metal Barrel, Some adjustable pieces

Cons
-Kinda a cheap plasticy construction for the body (sturdy, but feels lame
-Comes with a more simple scope than pictured
-Was missing 1 of 3 allen screws to assembled the barrel
-No Bipod Adapter rail included
-Hopup is wonky
-Bolt is easy to rack, hard to do JUST RIGHT at times
-loading the mag all the way may cause feeding issues

Conclusion:
Looks incredibly real, feels great, balanced weight, cheap body, scope is okay, strong in build.

The good outweighs the bad here. I dont think itd fare well in an airsoft war tho. Be warned.

"First let me just say this is about my 11th gun but my first bolt action sniper rifle.
Great product!
after some upgrades..... out of the box its got no more range than an AEG but after some love and TLC, it could put out some decent range.
Just for anyone wondering this gun is OEM by WELL, and is also known as the WELL MB4401/2. The external quality is superb.
The internals of the gun are pretty good stock. the only piece that broke immediately was the BB feed ramp, and that was easily remedied by pointing the bore downward when cocking the next round (some bbs may fall out into the body of the gun if pointed flat or upward).
The parts compatibility is easy, TM L96 parts for the cylinder, cylinder head piston, spring, spring guide and trigger/ trigger box. VSR parts are required for the barrel hop up, and trigger Sears.
I would recommend finding a TM OEM hop up to replace the WELL unit for much better consistency. after some basic parts replacement i can hit up to 230 feet or so accurately with .36 BBs, and i plan to RHop and get a stronger spring and go farther.
long story short it has the potential to be an AMAZING airsoft weapon.

PROS
GREAT solid construction.
GREAT POTENTIAL
AMAZING LOOKS- i mean lets face it this is so much better looking than a plain jane VSR.
parts compatability is there, just not stateside

CONS-
Out of the box performance is comparable to an average AEG.
Parts compatability is there, but not from a stateside website.
weak BB feed ramp. (aim bore down when reload to fix, or easy to replace).

"I have been working on this rifle for a few days, its pretty nice! The power is seriously low, but thats due to having a velocity reducer in the cylinder head/air nozzle. Unscrew it, throw it away and the fps will triple. With a few simple do it yourself mods, I see this sucker to be badass!! There are no inner barrel spacers so buy some duct tape and make your own. The hopup is nice and solid looking, the piston is shorter than vsr so the feed system will work. I would get one but not L96 cause I dont care for thumb hole stocks like this. Otherwise, I would be all over it!!! Once I hand this back to my buddy this weekend, he will surely crap due to the changes I have done, and the HUGE difference in performance now....

"Great Gun!

I'm usually a run and gun dude, but after reading about snipers I thought it would be neat to get a beginner's sniping rifle and after a lot of looking and reading reviews I decided on this rifle combo.
The rifle it self has a nice weight to it and goes together quite easily which is a blessing cause the the instruction sheet is not the greatest. The previous reviews are accurate so I will not rehash information, but will go in to the scope.
The scope in the picture and the video is not the scope that comes in the combo there are no markings on who manufactures the scope either, but it is a nice scope not great but something you can live with for a bit. The scope is adjustable for bondage and elevation with a penny or dime which can be a drawback, but I'm happy with it so far.
Focusing is accomplished by first loosening a copper screw on the right-hand side BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO MAKE IT TOO LOOSE just enough to allow you to adjust the focus which brings me to the next point. If you try to bring the focus in too close the scope will blur, but for the price the package is not to bad I love it and plan to first up grade the scope and then the bolt and spring for more info on the gun it self read some of the other reviews they say the same thing I'm thinking of l just wanted to give more information about the scope

"Great gun

Shoots accurate straight out the box up to 100' at a 16" x 16" target hitting more that 9 out of 10 shots. . Haven't got to test it further yet due to weather and work. Sturdy as heck. Magazine placement and insertion is awesome and makes double loads and jamming a thing of the past.

If you want something that works very good straight out of the box that you don't need to do countless modifications to in order to get a kill with almost every shot this is the gun for you.

Aftermarket upgrade parts are expensive for anything behind the hop up unit is so far the only con I can honestly come up at this time.

"Got this gun recently. its a very nice feeling gun, nice weight, great look, awesome feel. But there are a few issues with it. the first issue is that the magazine will only hold certain types of bbs, others just roll out of it when you rack the bolt. The second issue is that for a sniper, it takes quite some time to hit the target. You can pull the trigger, stand up, dust your self off, then watch it hit the target. Id recommend a piston and spring upgrade (that's what I did). The other thing that really got me was that the awesome scope in the picture was not the one that came with the gun. It ended up coming with a generic looking, basic scope similar to a tasco, but this one has no trademarks on it.

"Good Gun...
Pro's :
Great build
Great weight
Amazing look.

Cons:
Spring needs to be upgraded.
Bi pod is very loose
No threaded barrel

Otherwise it's a good weapon, But after you purchase when you get the gun you'll need to buy a little bit more for the weapon for it to perform to your need
