JG Full Metal Receiver Set for M4 / M16 / 416 Series Airsoft AEG Rifles

"This JG receiver seems to be a decent 416 receiver, and is the only 416 receiver set you can really get stateside. It does have some flaws that I'd like to go into though for those curious.

For one, there are a lot of blemishes on the receiver, whether it be just little gouges in the metal or uneven applications of paint. You can also see some visible casting marks on certain parts, the most egregious being the trigger guard and it's surrounding area on the receiver. The holes for the various pins are also a little tight as well, but they break in over time. Also, another thing of note is that the upper receiver is slightly taller than a proper 416 upper. It also lacks the indexing hole that proper 416 handguards use to maintain alignment. Evike does sell a regular 416D handguard compatible with this, but I wanted an AliExpress SMR rail on my build, so I did some rough and dirty drill pressing and Dremel work to make a functional hole for my handguard to secure itself with.

Other than that, I can't complain. All the parts seems to fit together with other M4 parts. I kinda wish it came with a mock bolt, but that isn't too expensive of a part to get. If you're looking to put in some work and don't mind a few cosmetic flaws, this is a pretty neat 416 receiver set!

+ helps balance out the weight of the heavy jg 416 rail system
+ parts didn't require extensive modding.
+ no silly big fake trademarks.
+ takes a one piece hop up. This give more opportunity for upgrades.
+ comes with charging handle and dust cover.
Cons
- requires some modification
- selector switch does not move selector plate. Plate needs to be shimmed up off the gearbox shell
- will need to replace stock jg hop up unit with another one.

List of required modifications
Redrilled body pin holes
Added tape in between barrel but and threads.
Sanded where upper and lower receivers meet.
Added super glue to top rail to hide gap.
Filed various parts that did not fit.

REMEMBER! This uses a ONE PIECE HOP UP!
Also remember that any scratched made when modding it can be easily hidden by colluding it in with a sharpie.

over all this was a great piece and well worth the money. I would buy it but be ready to put a good day of filing and screaming into making it work.

Note a dremel is suggested but not required. All I used was a knife, a file and sandpaper
